I was alone, the people in the hotel give me good advices, the breakfast was miserable, but you have a Starbucks in two blocks. The surroundings are not the best, but it's a good point for the metro.

l'albergo più sporco in cui abbia mai soggiornato!capelli nella vasca da bagno ed un cerotto lasciato per tutti i quattro giorni ai piedi del letto..non esiste pulizia delle camere..sistemano solo i letti.é veramente indegno.la notte è molto rumoroso sembra di dormire per strada. colazione povera e con pochissima scelta...direi nulla.

The rooms were clean and the Quality vs. Price and location(near to Hollywood, near Public transportation) was absolutely fine. Minus: Hollywood Boulevard is pretty busy all night long

I stayed at the Hollywood Downtowner Inn June 26-30, 2008 and had a good experience. I had read previous reviews and found the staff to be helpful, including changing my reservation. My room was clean and I appreciated the refrigerator and microwave. I also appreciated the internet service. Its not the Taj-Mahal and the neighborhood is not the greatest, but its a good value for the money. I would stay there again. I took previous advice and asked for a room in the rear so I would not hear street noise. The pool looked inviting and was used by other guests. Parking is tight so a compact car would work better. Its overall location is its biggest benefit. The Metro Subway Station at Western Avenue is two blocks to the East (two stops to Hollywood at Highland and the Chinese Theater). The 101 Freeway is within a half mile to the West of the Inn on Hollywood Blvd and The Chinese Theater is about a mile or so away to the West. There is a Ralph's Supermarket across from the Metro Station as well as numerous Thai restaurants. There are several coffee shops nearby including Angel's next to the Days Inn just East of the Metro Station. There is A Sizzler just East of Angel's.

This hotel is great value for money. It is pleasant, friendly and conveniently located to public transportation. The rooms are well equipped and comfortable. Staff is helpful and accommodating.
