The hotel delivers what you pay for. Location is the best aspect. Near the Griffith Park and Observatory, definitely a must-see in LA.

Hotel for the price was reasonable. Train station 1 block away, very convenient. Staff were not overly friendly but rooms clean and large. Location accessible to travel in all directions to holiday attractions.

We were there as a family (2 adults, 2 girls, 16 and 18). Great location, we could walk to hollywood.Eat at Delancey's a great Italianplace about 15 min. walk.

the wifi doesn't work for most of the time

We stay for 7 days. The room is clean and in a very good area close to metro. The service was good and helpful.

The good: very friendly service and staff. rooms smell really good and fairly clean. The hotel has wireless internet and free parking space. Rooms equiped with fridge, microwave and cable TV. Food4Less store in a walking distance whitch allows you to buy cheap food near by. The bad: Walls are paper thin and you can hear anything from outside,one night we couldnt sleep because the couple next door talked, yell and slamed doors. Internet connection becomes unstable and slow at nights. it's a bit scary to walk in the surrounding streets at night times. Overall: It was a nice experience and a fair place to put your head in after a long day of touring.

Only one small block away from the Metro station and not too far away from highways and interstates. The neighbourhood is not excellent or fine, but it is safe there - also at night time. A 24/7 'Food4Less' store with underavarage prices 1 block to the south.

Mostly got what I expected for the price, was just a bit disappointed with the breakfast. It's pretty basic and there's no place to eat, you either take things to your room or to the few poolside tables.

This hotel is located close to the Sunset Blvd, apprx. $70 taxi ride from LAX and $20 ride to the Hollywood Kodak Theatre. The location is good for the Northwest part of LA, where is far away from the 'troubled' neighborhood of South LA (the taxi driver told me West LA was where the richer live and therefore safer. Some small convenience store across the street and the Orchard Hardware Supply store minutes walk from the hotel (south bound, at the corner of N. Western Av. & Sunset Blvd.) The hotel operator (Pico) at the front desk is friendly and helpful. We had a great one-day rest at Hollywood City Inn, as our first day to the US trip. However, several drawbacks: 1) kinda far away from the Airport (roughly 20-30 miles, 45min taxi ride, it can gets jam at rush hour on the highway), 2) far away from business center area in downtown LA; 3) I don't think you will want to use the swimming pool (we went in Dec., though)

Stayed in a twin room in the Hollywood City Inn, enough space in the room for all your stuff although no proper wardrobe to store clothes however there are hangers to hang clothes up. Air conditioner is quite noisy during the night but needed to be on during the day and night due to the heat (as it was summer)! Staff were friendly enough...seemed to be a 24hour reception and were helpful at keeping bags if your flight isn't till later on at night so you can still take advantage of L.A. Location was very good! A short taxi ride from the Kodak Theatre or you could walk which takes a bit longer (30mins). Also great location for Universal Studios Hollywood.

Perfect location, very warm atmosphere, nice simple breakfast (really helpful to start your day, especially after two weeks in hotels with no breakfast), just as good as it could be! Only drawback that you could hear very clearly people at the pool, orothers walking out ofyour room, but we were so tired we did not really care. would go there again for sure.

Great for our needs. Hotel is getting a bit run down, but it is clean and inexpensive and one block from the metro redline. You dont need anything more when you are travelling. Recommend this hotel to anybody that is prepared to stay in budget accommodation and wants to see the sights.

No sé si me faltó advertir que quería NO SMOKING ROOM pero es que el olor a cigarrillo era demasiado pentrante, tanto que tuvimos que comprar un ambientador para poder dormir bien la segunda noche sin el molesto olor a cigarrillo que invadía toda la ropa de cama

Hollywood Inn is in a fantastic position for seeing Hollywood, Sunset Ave and Beverly Hills. There are excellent shops, supermarket and underground station / metro very close by. Parking facilities are brilliant. The manager was extremely friendly and obliging.

Excellent little hotel to stay, not fancy but functional with very good wi-fi internet, beautiful rose garden, and hospitable staff.

The women at the front desk is always in a bad mood. The other men are much more friendly. Wireless works perfect. The room was spacious with microwave and fridge and TV. It is very well located just next to the metro, and near Hollywood Blvd and the Los Feliz neighbourhood. I recomend it for short, unexpensive stays.

Overall is satisfied. Clean, welcomeing, comfortable, and convenient (just one block from the subway). Only one thing should improve:the water of the shower nozzle is too small. But overall we have a great experience here.

the hotel was very poor, no breakfast almost and a VERY LONG walk to the walk of fame!

I found a bedbug on my bed on the 2nd night of the stay.

For this price, good acomodation. Breakfast is on reception, on feet, just not tasty donuts and good juice, but you can sit close to swimming pool and enjoy on sun.

We had a great stay. Very close walking to all main attactions. Breakfast was perfect, good variety. Staff was accomadating and the overall hotel was clean, safe and affordable. Thank you!

breakfast was a doughnut and coffee and orange juice to take back to your roomas that was the only place to have breakfast

Hotel was good - nothing fancy, but clean and good value. Pool area was nice. The breakfast they offered was pastries and coffee/juice - I expect more for breakfast.

Hotel is situated nearby to major highways; not noisy, but rather very convenient. Bus stop nearby had a revolving cast of dicey characters mixed in with the usual riders. Mostly felt safe there, but chose not to venture out at night. Hotel pool very nice. The hotel was full, and a nice mix of guests were easy to get along with at the pool, waiting for laundry, etc. The day manager was very helpful. It was a great choice for us!

so far so good! great place and very near to hollywood blvd and other places as well! I will stay again if i am backed in LA. if there are other options of breakfast will be nice. CHEERS

An average motel. Rather dilapidated neighborhood. Good Mexican restaurant nearby.

Good position, nice breackfast, very good relatioship price/quality. I would stay here again!!

Breakfast consisted of drinking a coffee standing in reception. There was no actual breakfast room. OK building but not a very nice part of town. Quite convenient for the metro, though. Free wireless internet access and free internet access in reception were a welcome bonus at this price.
