Hotel Pellegrino e Pace - Loreto

I enjoyed my stay there. They accomodated my request for a terrace from my room. It was memorable.

Helpful staff. Gave us a free parking license, because we stayed for a whole week. Location excellent, right in the heart of the town very close to the holy Maria business. Atmosphere in the hotel is a bit like a hospital (hotel is facilitated for sick and disabled pilgrims). Breakfast unfortunately very poor, with dry bread, only marmelade and old coffee.

This has to be one of my favorite hotels in Italy. Three words-Location, location, location. To awaken and hear the bells on the square ringing and to throw open our doors on the balcony in the morning and see the Basilica will stay with me forever. We were fortunate enough to get a balcony room-who knew that the Milano soccer team was going to beat Liverpool that night and prompt a sudden and noisy parade through the streets and into the square below our window at 1 am? Such is Italy! Viva Italia! The best place to eat was not far to walk and served gluten free pizza and pasta as well as other specialties. It was superb! La Cantina de Ale on Via Vanvitelli 2/4. The service and food was great. We ate there two nights in a row.

Nice hotel on main square. Our room on front was noisy as the services for pilgrims start early and run late. The childrens' room in back was quiet with magnificent views from balcony. Breakfast was the worst in Italy as croissants and coffee were both burnt.

The location is the best in Lorete. The dinner they served was the worst during our trip in Italy.

The proprietors could not have been more helpful. Your website itself is great. The location was just great. But, given the time of year, there were workmen working on the floor above/below us and this kept us awake a bit. But not complaining - work has to be done and this was off season and the staff were just great, friendly, helpful and welcoming. Thank you

That would be my first choice to stay there the next time around. Excellent service and the food was amazing. The front desk and the Maitre'D was outstanding.

As there is no direct link between central Loreto station to the hotel, one either has to walk 2 km uphill (on rocky roads) or take expensive taxi. My experience was that we chose to walk to the hotel from the station. It was raining and when we reached the hotel, the hotel owner told us that she actually seen us walking uphill to the hotel with our heavy luggage (but she did not offer to fetch us to the hotel!!). Another experience was that around 6.30 pm when we came out from the Bascilia to return to the hotel, the hotel door was locked and no one was at the counter ! It seems either the family-run hotel has closed for dinner or there are no guests so they locked. we waited till much later before we seen the hotel open and returned. except for these, the rest were ok.
