My first experience with ParkCity Hotel is mixed. The locations is excellent with most services available in walking distance for travelers. The Gloucester Road tube station offers easy access to London airports without changing lines. The hotel is housed in beautifully done over townhouses. It appears there are cost issues with the operation. The first day - bath floor mat was literally threadbare and frayed along an entire edge. The next day - one of two bath towel was torn and frayed for four inches along an edge; the other towel was fine. Mind you we did get lovely bathrobes. Two mornings in a row, I got a chipped bread plate at breakfast. Prospective customers should pay attention to more recent reviews to see if things changed. We stayed at an executive room for 3 nights during the stay.

I like this hotel so much. In a quite and nice zone in Kensington. Clean and with a warm ambience. Good and varied breakfast. Rooms are large enough to stay with 4 bags... A very nice place to stay to visit London.

Very nice stay. Close to tube stations, direct to Heathrow and to town. Friendly staff. Nice enough breakfast with good coffee. Wireless internet was available and free. Big comfortable bed. I'd be happy to stay there again.

Good location, very good ratio spaciousness and service level vs. price. Only disadvantage was the breakfast - the organisation of it = total chaos, zero experienced staff, more than 30 minutes waiting for free table every mourning! Hope next time when I will visit this hotel breakfast will be ok again.

Excellent and elegantly furnished hotel with big rooms (for London), not too far from Tube on Gloucester Station. The staff tried to be helpful but was way too new at the job. Also we had a light snack at the bar upon arrival, but quality of food was way too low, even for a very quick bite. Still, undoubtedly best hotel I've ever stayed in London.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights to allow us to go to the Royal Albert Hall for a show. The hotel was situated off the busy Cromwell road, it was a very quiet street. Although the hotel is in a period building, the interior is modern and very clean. The reception area spacious and welcoming with some striking chandeliers which gave it a luxurious feel. The receptionist was polite, welcoming and friendly. The room was spacious (double deluxe)and so was the bathroom, all very modern. The bed, big and confortable (not a small double bed fitted in a single as was a previous experience in a hotel in London). The breakfast plentiful, for an extra 3 pounds was delivered on a trolley to our door. On our departure the staff was also very friendly. A very nice hotel which I definitely would recommend.

Rooms very clean and spacious for a London hotel in this price range. Closest tube station is Earl's Court at about 500ms. Good connection straight from the Airport on the tube. We would stay there again.

I stayed there for one week, and liked the hotel. The location in South Kensington is a little "off". With the tube it's really no problem though. The breakfast was a bit basic. The staff at the hotel were nice and helpful.

Stayed at Parkcity for 2 nights at end of August 09. The hotel is in a group of period houses in a side road in Kensington. The room was spacious (for London), modern, air-conditioned and very well equipped. The bathoroom was large, with tub with shower over. The breakfast included in our rate was excellent - lots of choice. The reception areas and room were all contemporary and stylish without conflicting with the period setting. Our only issue was the noise. The windows in our room were period sash windows with no secondary glazing. Overall a very good experience. We will return if we can get as good a deal on price again.

Great Hotel for the price and having the continental breakfast included was good. The continental breakfast was very good and the hotel room as the best on our trip. Had a bit of trouble with laundry but it all got worked out. Loved having the supermarket right around the corner and this hotel is easy access to the undergournd. We would stay here again!

We stayed at the Parkcity for 6 nights in all and would happily stay there again. It's an excellent hotel in a good location. The superior rooms are spacious by any standards and spotlessly clean. The king size beds are so comfortable! The bathroom had a deep bath and modern shower above it. Again, the bathroom was large and very clean. The hotel is on a quiet Knightsbridge street and the rooms themselves seem well insulated from the surrounding rooms. Ours had a large bay window with high ceilings, making the most of the Georgian row of houses that form the hotel. There aren't the restaurants and bar-lounge areas of the bigger hotels but the continental breakfast in the small dining room is very good. In fact, it goes beyond continental, with eggs etc. included on request. The staff are friendly and co-operative (especially in the breakfast room) though the staff at the front desk seemed overwhelmed with the number of people checking in and out. We arrived early afternoon but had to wait 2 hours for our room to be ready. I note that other reviewers complain about problems of communication with the largely foreign staff. But we had no problems at all. Our only complaints are the limited room service menu and the absence of tea/coffee-making facilities in the rooms (we bought a cheap electric kettle from the nearby Sainsbury's and left it for the next guests - or the cleaners). Overall, it's a very good place to stay, and reasonably priced for an expensive city. I can see why it's been rated in the top 1% of hotels world-wide by Expedia.

Nice neighborhood hotel on a side street off a main road (Cromwell). It is located half-way between two subway stops (five minute walk to each). Major supermarket around the corner. Seven minute jog to Kensington Park (beware of low-hangigng branches). Breakfast was great, but A/C never worked, even after numerous complaints. Would stay there again.

This was a fabulous hotel. Venere site post was a bit misleading though because we thought that breakfast was included. We had a great breakfast which we found out after that it was not included - Cost was 33 pounds for the two of us. Wow! We looked at our confirmation print out and it stated that breakfast was not included. We expressed our concern to the Front desk staff and they were very understanding and only charged us for one meal. Great Great place to stay though! I would highly recommend it. Ask for the 1st floor (balcony was fabulous!).
