Very nice room, with kitchen facilities. Bathroom very small and without bidet, but everything brand new and very clean. I was in London for three days of shopping and the hotel is at walking distance to Portobello market. I surely stay again there when I'll be back to London.

The hotel is very clean, nice and closed to the underground station of Bayswater.

The hotel rooms are small but enough space for people who are visting London and do not stay much time inside. We enjoyed the facilitys of the small kitchen to prepare a breakfast before leaving the hotel in the morning or for having a fresh drink ready on a late arrival. The furbishment of the rooms and the hotel in general is modern and nice but even we know it is quiet new it looks in some parts already very used. The room and the kitchen were cleaned daily and the towels changed but the shower always looked as the the maid forgot to clean it. The shower itself is a bit strange...but anyway. For the price of this nice little hotel would not be easy to find a better place in London. The area is lovely and the way the the subway short. Lots of bars, restaurants and shops are close by. We really enjoyed our stay there and we would come back any time. Thank you Hyde Park Hotel for a nice stay!

Hotel was as expected and as advertised. We were in a street facing ground floor room so it was quite noisy. You could hear everything in the rooms next to you as well as at the reception on the floor above. Hotel was located around lots of cafe's and restaurants (although most closed fairly early) and was easy to get to from the airport via the Heathrow Express and was close to the Bayswater Metro Station. We found it a good location that was easy to get to major tourist sites by a short ride on the metro. Would recommend for short stays of 2-3 nights max.

Very clean and nice room, even if the one provided (609) was in the basement but this was not said when booking. Only cons: - shower not working properly - room in from of the 609 was a deposit for cleaning ladies... so noise starting from 7 am !! - welcoming quite cold Apart from that the hotel is very very clean and confortable, and well located. I would definitely suggest !!

I booked a twin room, but I received a double room???The room had a nice flatscreen television but poor reception. I hope the hotel is willing to make some small changes. If they do so, it will be perfect!

Very nice hotel and zone indeed! Nice, competent and helpful staff. Fine renewed rooms and premises. Pretty close to Bayswater tube station (about 5 min). Just one thing: same price rooms' size may vary! We went twice, first time we got a tiny -yet cozy- room; second time, room was much bigger.

I warmly suggest this cosy hotel to everyone who wants to have a nice stay in London even for several days. Rooms are small but clean and with all comforts, mainly the very useful small kitchen which can "solve" somehow the fact that the breakfast is not included. The bathroom is small too but perfect for your own needs, only the shower could be improved. Reading opinions before making my reservation I read about "hard" beds, I found them absolutely comfortable and they're not hard. The Receptions are kind but the strongest point of this hotel are the surroundings, the Notting Hill quarter is very nice, clean and elegant. Bayswater (circular and green line) e Queensway metro stations are two steps walking and you can easily get within minutes the main attractions from Buckingham Palace to the Tower Hill. You can eventually walk along Bayswater Road to reach Oxford street or Regent street for shopping in 35-40 minutes. I don't know whether you can find something better in London or not since it was my first time but surely next time I'll be in London (probably for shopping only) I'm gonna make a reservation in this hotel again.

Buona vacanza

We went to London for the first time and liked the hotel and it's location very much. It's close to the Tube and the local centre. We had a very nice and delicate Doubleroom with our own kitchen, but missed a night table (to put down books and afternoon drinks). Did'nt get any of the free WIFI anounced, but we werent business travelers so it was ok for us.

Its not a cheap hotel, but the facilities are clean and ordered. Our room was not big, but it was enough for us. The employees were competent and kind with us. Some people said the bed was too hard, it was true, but we like it. The buses, and the metro stations were so near, and a lot of shops and pubs.

We wanted to spend the weekend in London, so we needed somwthing easy to reach from the centre. The hotel was a bit dificult to find at first, but it was well connected to the centre both by bus and underground. The room was exactly as advertised. There were four of us and one of the rooms was quite big whereas the other one was a bit too small. Apart from that, I would strongly recommend this hotel.

This was my first time staying at the Hyde Park. I have been to London more times than I can count -- staying in everything from charming flats, to run-down family-run hotels,to a private club, to giant anonymous tourist hotels, to a suite at the Ritz -- but I made this reservation very late at a time when London was almost sold out. My room held a large bed, a kitchenette and a tiny bedside table without even a clock. There was no closet nor a real shelf for organizing. And the bathroom was so small it was impossible to wash one's face at the sink with the door closed. I was surprised at how hard the bed was and that it did not have a mattress cover. Americans are accustomed to that. But it was surprisingly comfortable. It would be helpful for someone in authority to stay there one night, because all but the tininess of the bathroom can be resolved. The shower was extended so high that when I turned it on the spray fell outside the shower, causing a major puddle. This can be easily corrected. The window was painted over, and room had absolutely no light even at midday, which was unnerving and should somehow be addressed, but what was most bothersome was I could clearly hear conversations in my neighbor's room...as a matter of fact, I could hear but not understand the person on the other end of my neighbor's telephone. I don't know if anything can be done about that. Carpeting would help dampen the sound. These people have a lot of little glitches to straighten out. But the place is brand new, kept very, very clean, and the staff is eager to make it work. I think they will succeed. If all you need is a place to sleep, this is a good choice.

The hotel was lovely, completely remodeled. Room was small (which I expected) and decorated nicely. Issues were: Reception area is not clearly indicated. It is in a glass walled room at the rear which is more like an office. Elevator was broken when we were checking in (eventally fixed), so we had to walk up to 4th floor with heavy luggage. It would have been nice to have been put on first floor in this situation, as I got the impression the hotel was not fully booked. It had a bit of cold, new feel to it, but I am sure in time that will change. Hallways are hardwood so every passer by our room could be clearly heard...especially if female in heels. Walls separating rooms are thin. My biggest issue was the bed. I was awake what felt like all night. It was litterly like sleeping on a concrete slab! I cannot emphasize that enough. Absolutely awful! I have never slept on anything like this in my entire life and looked to see if there was even a mattress on the bed. There was, but it was more like the box spring that goes underneath a mattress. Absolutely zero give or cushioning. I had a pain in my arm the next morning as I generally sleep on my side. I mentioned when checking out that they must have spent a lot of money to renovate the hotel, but obviously tried to save money on the beds. I told them it was awful. There was also only one pillow on the bed. Most hotels provide two and even extras. I would stay at this hotel again ONLY if they changed the beds.

The breakfast is not included (but the room rates are quite expensive!)! You will find a kitchenette and coffe&tea facilities. The hotel is new and very clean. We staid in a double room and it was not very big but it is not so important if you stay in London to visit the city.
