This hotel is located in the old part of London, very close to Paddington station, which is extremely convenient for both in-town excursions and to Heathrow Express. It is literally 3 min walk to Paddington. My biggest dissatisfaction was that they did not post about not having an elevator to the 2-nd floor (I had to carry my luggage upstairs by myself and I really cannot do it on my own, I struggled badly). And, even the room was clean, the carpet and bed covers and furniture are so old and worn out, they belong in the dump, at least in the US. Bathroom was clean and OK size, breakfast was OK too, but you need to come down before 8 am to not stand in line there. Reception persons were polite and friendly. I guess, to stay in this part of London, this is not a bad choice for the money.

The Orchard hotel is well located. The rooms were small but very clean, especially the bathrooms. For the breakfast, we could choose between cornflakes and eggs/bacon/white beans supplemented with toasts. We met a lot of French people with young children.

Group of five people (1 triple room+ 1 double room), bathrooms really spaciousness, really poor arrangment of rooms: towels have not been changed (the second day we left towels on the floor but these were simply put back on the bed.We asked for a change in the evening but the answer was "It's not possible"); the rubbish has been left in the rooms. Never ask for a taxi at the reception: it will cost you much more..and drivers are not reliable (we risked to miss our return flight)

It is a conveniently located small hotel at a reasonable price. Not real fancy, but a nice place to crash for a night or 2. Close to transit lines and central London.

The rooms were fine. Exceeded our expectations although they were on a third floor with no lifts. Pitty the shower didn't have enough flow pressure and the soap was only replaced after three days. Breakfast was very limited in variety and quantity.

As a budget traveller I wasn't expecting much and therefore wasn't too disappointed. The room and bathroom were clean - small, but that is to be expected in London. The location was great (10 mins from Paddington station and about the same from Hyde Park - important as a runner!). The front desk staff were friendly enough, although the women serving breakfast were a bit rude (i.e., like they were "put out" if you asked them for something). The continental breakfast was disappointing - cornflakes, white bread toast, and something masquerading as "juice". Cereal and toast are fine, but something other than cornflakes and "Wonder Bread" would have been better. Also had to ask for clean towels. I have stayed in the same area, but at a different hotel (same price) and had a much better experience. I wouldn't go back to this one.

The sheets were double bed size on a queen bed and could not be tucked in. A hole in the bathroom ceiling should have been fixed as well as the curtain which could not be closed fully due to missing curtain hooks.

... e poi Londra ripaga qualsiasi contrattempo! Buona vacanbza a tutti!

Pessimo Hotel! ATTENZIONE, Assolutamente poco seri!

The staff were very helpful with information about getting around London for tourists. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was not very good. The location was convenient and you can always easily get in and out from the hotel on buses and trains.

The ladies serving breakfast were not helpful, they refused to warm up some milk for the kids. Breakfast wasn´t very good either. Bathroom terribly small for a quad room. We were located on the third floor with no lift of course. Receptionists were eager to help though.

The room was small with little space to move about in & only one chair to sit on. The sheets on the bed were on the small side. There was no tea/coffee making facilities & cupboard space was minimal. Also the bathroom had nowhere to store toiletries/toilet bags. However there was always plenty of hot water & the breakfast was good. We can recommend the Ryath Indian restaurant & the San Marco Italian restaurant, but would advise against the Scotch Steak house as it serves overpriced, bland meals.

Grazie Venere.

Well! It was much a hostel rather than a Hotel, I think all are the same in Paddington. The first day we had a bad experience of the staff, she seemed like welcoming inmates. we couldnet check in until 2 pm even though they got noticed we were arriving at 9 am. The breakfast is quite poor and lacks all luxery, it is the same all year long. much pre fabricated. there where no lifts and the stairs quite narrow, we got our room in the third floor. Some of the staff were really friendly and we could change romm on second night. TV is 14 and shows some local channels, there is no place to hang clothes in the bad rooms no either place for shampoo and stuff. but quite clean, at least the two rooms we saw. It is much a place to stay near the centre rather than staying at the hotel, despite the price of 130€ per night.

I can't rate it as "the best hotel of my life", but considering the accomodation English standards, the price and the location it is a very interesting solution for short staying in London. Rooms are clean but pretty small and with very (very) basic conforts and utilities. The most uncomfortable thingh is the grasp and steep stair-case (very typical in the London's hotels) to go up in the rooms...the unique way to bring all your luggages with you is on your shoulders!! The hotel is perfectly linked with the center of the town both by tube (less than 5 minutes walking to get the station Paddington) or by different buses. I would suggest this hotel for group of friends (who need just a place where sleep) but maybe not for families or romantic couples!!

Cmq consiglio a tutti...

When you consider the location of this hotel the price is reasonable. We walked into central London in 45 minutes. Close to Paddington Underground which is great getting to and from Heathrow. (One hour coming in, 15 minutes going out) Very good restaurants within 5 minutes walk. Less than 20 minutes walk to Portobello Road. This hotel is very adequate for the price. The breakfast is reasonable.
