My room was the size of an enlarged closet. The bathroom was clean and nice size. I would come back again, but I would request a "Double" room which is larger. The standard departure time of 10:30am is a little early. I requested a late departue at noon. The hotel is in walking distance to restaurants and stores.

The room was VERY small, but it worked for sleeping only. Bathroom fan was not working, which caused black mold to form on grout between tiles. Fan fixed immediately, BUT the mold was not cleaned, even after telling the desk about it twice!! Day two...still not cleaned??? If mold had been cleaned up, actually not a bad place to stay, close to Bayswater tube, places to eat, and lots of shops to spend your money in!!

Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone going to London. Had a great stay at this hotel! The rooms are clean, the staff is nice, and above all, the location is exellent (basically in lovely Notting Hill). If I had to point to something negative, it would be that the maintenance staff did not provide additional hand soap when the orginial one was used up. A minor slip I guess, however, it doesn't matter that much when the whole experience at London House Hotel was that good.

For the location of the hotel, the price is reasonable (for london prices). Our room was very small but sufficient for our needs (no desk or anything like that). Room was clean. Bathroom also small but clean with nice shower. Staff were friendly.

The hotel was clean and efficient. The breakfast though was rather weak and needs to be improved. If you don't like cereal or bread, you are out of luck.

It was a very nice hotel and situated perfect in the Bayswater area. Near subway and Paddington Station. The staff was very friendly and helpful. A bit noisy and "thin" walls was the only "minus". I will definitely return.

Single rooms are VERY small but cosy. I was first offered a very tiny room right behind the elevator shaft with the bed right against the separating wall. the lift isnt noisy but there's a loud voice announcing the floors, so i asked for another room. I got one on the ground floor. Small too but nice and cosy, though the view was inexistant. the problem there was doors banging outside, but it was only in the evening. I slept like a baby. The bathroom was outstanding. Very clean and enjoyable. Breakfast was simple but nice. all in all, good value for money considering it's in a nice area of London with Kensington Gardens a stone's throw away... I would have liked to be informed in advance of the 1.50 pound surcharge when paying by credit card, though...

The hotel is very well run. Rooms are small and basic yet clean and efficiently serviced. Public areas are spacious and comfortable. Staff are courteous and helpful. Breakfasts are very simple but adequate. Location has numerous interesting places to eat and to go shopping, and public transport to all parts of London is easily accessed from the hotel.

It was the first time I stayed at this hotel in August. It's a nice place especially if you want to be close the center(Oxford Street and Hyde Park) There are two underground stations and a bus stop nearby. Although the hotel was in repair at the time of our stay, it was quiet. The staff was friendly. The room and the bathroom were clean and renovated. The only disadvantage was the spaciousness of the room -it was too narrow. As to the breakfast - it's the standard continental breakfast - tea/coffee, cereals and fruit jam. There is also an electric kettle and coffee inside the rooms. All in all I'm satisfied with the stay. London hotels are quite expensive and this hotel offers good service at a reasonable price.

The location is excellent, very close to the underground and the shopping and restaurant area of Queensway. There was some renovation going on so the front was covered with scaffolding, but that is temporary; the back looks onto the rear of Whiteley's shopping centre, so in the mornings we could hear a slight continuous noise from the air conditioning system, but otherwise the place is very quiet. As usual in Britain, floors are made of carpeted wood, so if your upstairs neighbour has a heavy walk you may not be able to sleep. The rooms are really small but not bad, the showers are modern and excellent, the washbasins are so small that you cannot really use them, but the single hot-cold tap is a real innovation, long overdue in England! Breakfast is simple but sufficient, the breakfast room in the basement is a bit like a canteen, as the photo shows, but more than ok. The only other common space is a café. You can leave your luggage extra hours without charge in a locked room. I would certainly recommend this hotel for short stays, and I would choose it again.

But before 8 inthe morning and after 5 it was very nice and quit

The room we stayed in (203)was modest but very clean and comfortable. An extremely quiet area with easy access to Bayswater tube station, shops, Hyde Park and pubs. We stayed here after a concert at Wembley Stadium and it was easy to get there and back on the tube (about 20-30 minutes). Breakfast was very basic but there are many coffee shops / cafes in Bayswater Road around the corner. Highly recommended for a cheap and comfortable stay.

When I booked the room I sent an e-mail to the hotel specifically asking for a twin double room. Unfortunately they never saw the e-mail and never let me know that I was going to stay in a double room. Other than that, London House is a great and quite cheap solution for a decent stay in central London.

Very good hotel for the price. The toilet and shower new and very nice. The only bad thing was the noisy breakfastroom. The location is super on a calm street but near two tube stations, buses, a shopping mall, pubs, restaurants, shops, post office, Hyde Park. All you need.

EVERYTHING WAS OK APART FROM THE FACT THAT AFTER TWO DAYS THEY CHARGED ON MY CREDIT CARD 50£ BECAUSE THEY SAID THERE WERE PILLOW COVERS MISSING FROM MY ROOM AFTER THE CHECK OUT. WHEN I COMPLAINED THEY WANTED TO CHARGE ME THE 20% OF THE AMOUNT. I COMPLAINED AGAIN BECAUSE WHEN I LEFT THE ROOM EVERYTHING WAS OK AND I STAYED AT THE INTERNET POINT IN THE HALL OF THE HOTEL FOR MORE THAN AN HOUR (SO THEY COULD HAVE TOLD ME IMMEDIATLY THAT SOMETHING WAS MISSING FROM THE ROOM!. IN THE END THEY REFUNDED THE AMOUNT BUT NOBODY REFUNDED ME FROM WHAT I MISSED IN THE CHANGE FROM £ TO € AND CREDIT CARD EXPENSES FOR THE OPERATION. IN MY OPINION THEY SHOULD HAVE ASKED ME EXPLANATIONS BEFORE CHARGING ME (I'M NOT USED TO BE TREATED AS THIEF!!).WHAT I THINK IS THAT THEY TRIED TO TAKE 50£ FROM MY CREDIT CARD WITH A STUPID EXCUSE. BY THE WAY...THEY DIDN'T EXCUSE FOR THEIR ILLICIT BEHAVIOUR

The room was very small with barely enough room for our suitcases. However, it was very clean. The staff was excellent and very helpful. There were no washclothes. There were public computers and internet but the service was expensive to use. There was no lift to help us with our heavy suitcases.

The best hotel i've ever stayed in London. Beautiful room, 100 mt form the tube, calm place, splendid ensuite toilet for english standards (no plastic on the floor!), good bed, very clean (never seen such clean room before in england), good public rooms, room for luggage when you check out, room for internet connection, very kind people. If i must said something not good, they have only continental breakfast, and they don't change the towels every day, but if you aks they give you fresh ones very promptly, and that's all. i definitely will stay again, and more and more. thanks to all the staff.

The staff was great and the breakfast was good, but the beds we had was absolutely horrible. The matresses were very old and it was like sleeping on rope. We couold feel the springs comming out of the matress. That was bad. We also had bad luck, with our neighbours being a group of young LOAD german guys. Which didn´t help when we were trying to sleep. Otherwise the hotel was very good. They are in the middle of renovaring so there was a bit of noise, but it was never disturbing. We had to share bathrooms with other people. The showers were great, new and all,but the had not renovated the toilets yet. Overall this was an okei stay and this was my second time at this hotel.

I've been here in the easter's week end, everything was ok, we were four, two young couples, we arrived on 1 a.m. and two guys at the reception were waiting for us, they welcomed us in an excellent way and explained us everything. They gave us two close rooms on the second floor and they were pratically perfect, better then the photos on the site, the bathroom was really good, shower and everything else was italian or german brand, so it's an high quality standart, we didn't have to get the tv but we found an lg lcd tv in every room. I would strongle recomend this hotel to relatives and friends and would definitely come back here next time. Bayswater then is very central and the undergound station is just 200 metres away form the hotel. we had a really nice stay.

London House is a perfect place to go, because it´s well situated (2 min Bayswater station), the rooms are as they tell you in their photos and in general the place is a nice place to go. I´ve been there with my girlfriend in a double ensuite room(shower and bathroom included) and it was perfect.

I was at the London House with my 3 friends of mine. I would recommend this hostel to young groups, most of the guests are young people. I spent 3 days in a quadruple, beds were good, the room was on the 3rd floor (no lift), we had the cleaning every day but the floor was not so clean. Wc and shower were always clean! Then I moved to a double room and this was so small!!

We made thw reservation two months before and asked for different types of rooms. we werw said that it was ok but the double room for two girls was then one room with a medium-small size bed ...(?)...and breakfast was enough but simple. rooms very old and not so clean also. sorroundings very very nice, with everything to eat, to buy...just for young people travelling with no money. photographs are not real.

Best prices, good location, but the web site shows a different hotel, since the rooms are very very modest. No radio or TV in bedrooms, it makes your stay a bit boring. Theres a computer room with free internet, that was great. Theres a big TV on the computer room, but thats it. Good breakfast also.

The location is the only thing excellent about this hotel. I haven't seen any room like on the pictures, thinking of the hotel it's hard to imagine there are any. From a good friend I heard that the hotel is really cheap regarding the surrounding. It's one of the most expensive area's in London. Don't have any expectations about the included breakfast. It's just toast with jam. When you are going around and just want to sleep and have a good shower, the hotel is fine. When you're looking for some days of good rest, go somewhere else. The beds where clean but with tons of iron in the matresses. Very shabby place, for us it was good enough (catch breakfast outdoors!).
