Rooms are quite small and the bathroom even more, but considering the price was quite good value for the money. It is near the centre (even walking you arrive to trafalgar square in 15-20 minutes) and quite close to king cross station. All the streets around the hotel are really quiet. We never hear noise from the outside, neither from the other rooms. If you want a room just for sleeping and leave your things, this is perfect.

It's expensive because of the very small room with a little bathroom (you can seat on the toilet while brushing your teeth and while washing your feet under shower :) !)... but for London, it's a very good value ! Situated 2min from St Pancras, easy to found... For my next i'll be back to Wardonia Hotel !

nice hotel, small rooms but absolutely fine to visit London and stay in hotel just for sleep. Rooms are clean, the bathroom is small but clean. For the rates of the rooms I really think the service is very good. In 2 minutes you're at the station so.. I'll recomend it!

The rooms where so tiny you could barely move. The shower set-up was terrible- every shower flooded the room. The windows had no screens, and a pigeon came into our room. A homeless man lived in the courtyard below our window, and we witnessed a crime from our hotel room window. The room cost 60 pounds- and was not worth it. DO NOT STAY HERE.

No indications about breakfast, rooms at the upper floor have a microscopic bathroom, sheets are not change daily: is it a hotel or a hostel? One night we had a health emergency and the staff could not help us properly. Our overall vote is low. Not recommended, definitely.

Room too small! And without a closet. But clean and very near to metro station.

The instructions to find the hotel were poor: From Gattwick there are direct trains to St.Pancrass, from St.Pancrass it is 5 Min. to walk. That would have been much cheaper and faster than the express to Victoria, then the tube.

Great location for sightseeing (2 mins walk to Kings Cross tube and St. Pancras station), excellent value for money for people looking for a no frills accomodation without any extras.

Perfect location (close to St Pancras station and King's Cross) but we left the hotel after one night due to condition of room (room on basement level, window facing the brickwall of basement, window broken, room in direct connection with street outside and no lock or fastening on the door - it was scary). I assume they have better rooms and we were simply unlucky with booking this specific room as the hotel was fully booked.

Not a good hotel experience at all at the Wardonia. I stayed there for three nights and it was a hotel experience that I wish to forget as soon as possible. I’ve stayed in 100´s of hotels and while this one may not have been the worst, certainly it belongs among the five worst. You can really tell the bottom of the barrel establishments such as the Wardonia from the more respectable hotels by the attitude of the staff and management towards the guests. The girls at the reception, who were Russian, were helpful enough. The real problem with the place seems to be with the people who run the place, who I think are Irish. The first shock was the smallness of the room. The room was en suite but you could not open the door to the bathroom properly because the bed was in the way. It was just plain cramped, like living in a closet. The second shock was the bathroom itself which was just tiny and when you took a shower the entire bathroom floor would within minutes become flooded because there was no partition separating the shower area from the rest of the bathroom. It also became quite comical that when I stepped in certain parts of the bathroom floor, simultaneously in other parts water would squirt up from the space in between the tiles in the floor, since the adhesive had worn off. One day I requested a new soap from the person at the reception (one of the people in management, I think) because the one in my room didn’t look fresh (something that I didn’t say to him). "But you already have a soap, sir." He responded, and he proceeded to start an argument over a 3 by 5 centimetre bar of soap. Obviously the old adage: "the customer is always right," meant nothing to him. Eventually, he gave me a new bar of soap and then he came with me into the room, took the old bar of soap from the bathroom and then he stuck it under my nose and said: "this bar has definitely not been used." I would, needless to say, not recommend the Wardonia to any fellow travellers.

The room was indeed tiny. But since we only needed somewhere to sleep and drop our things we didn't really care. The room was clean and we got new towels every day. Remember to bring your own shampoo and shower gel - there is only a cake of soap provided. Walls are rather thin, so you can sometimes here people from other rooms. But it didn't really bother us or kept us from falling asleep. The location is perfect - 2 minutes walk from the underground.

The hotel is very close to the main subway line and the railway station. That is a big plus for guests - like us, my 15 years old daughter and me - who want to explore London. We had a twin room but it was very very small. Not even a chair or a little table had space there. When having dinner we placed our food on the floor. In the bathroom was no hook (not even one) to place towels, clothes etc. It was all very tiny and small. The nights had been quiet although or room was on the streetside. The personal was friendly but not overwhelmingly passionate. I recommend the hotel for pragmatic people who wish to have a clean quiet place to sleep when visiting London but have no other demands beyond that. In Germany the price for this type of hotel would be not acceptable but for London it is ok I got told.

The Wardonia is in an excellent location if you are travelling by train, it is just around the corner from Kings Cross at the end of a quiet street. The staff are friendly and competent. The rooms are clean but REALLY small, but was perfect for my needs, which was a one night stop in London. The price was cheap compared to other prices in London and I would have no hesitation to stay again or advise it as a stop off point for anybody else. We had a double bed which was quite small too (to be able to fit in the room I imagine) but comfortable. The TV even had Freeview, but there is no kettle in the room or facility to get a drink in the hotel. A quick trip down to Burger King at the end of the road for that cocoa night cap! Compared to some of the excuses for hotels in London at far greater prices the Wardonia is brilliant.

This hotel met my needs completely. It provided a clean, recently (albeit cheaply) refurnished, quiet, private and en suite room near King's Cross. The beautiful and newly renovated facade of the building and the pleasant street in which it is located were bonuses. On these bases I have no hesitation recommending the hotel to others. However, those who do not know the hotel should bear in mind that the rooms are really tiny. (Including the bathroom the total area of mine was about 3 - 4 times the size of the single bed.) You would have real difficulties getting massive "intercontintal" suitcases inside the room let alone unpacking them.

We were there with my wife doing a small trip to London. The hotel has excellent location - only 400 meters from King's Cross tube station. The room and the equipment correspond with web presentation. There was always hot water for bath and the heating operated well. The problem only was with very thin walls between rooms. The bathroom could be equipped with some carpet or pad to prevent dragging wet out of the bathroom. Fair value for the price.

I stayed one night in my cupboard room. The area was quiet and right next to the tube. As a simple place to sleep and take a shower it worked very well. My single room was absurdly small. There was no place to put my bag and no wardrobe on the room. When my bag was on the floor, I could not open the bathroom door.

Very small room, but clean and adequate. Great price for the location. Would not plan a long trip there, but would certainly stay again if passing through. Close proximity to train station is another advantage - easy walk with bags.

Very small rooms, but clean. Every day room service, excellent location in Bloomsbury (very close to King Cross-St. Pancrass), good relationship price/quality for London hotels.

The room was basicly what we had expected, very small, but clean. It is just few steps away from Kings Cross, which is a big advantage.I won't hesitate to go there again.

An OK hotel. Tea and coffee facilities would have been nice in the room. Good location. Strangest thing was the room to store luggage before or after room was vacated was unlocked and consequently unsafe!

For London hotels I thought this was reasonable; I mean who comes to London to stay in their hotel room the whole time anyway?! It was a cozy place to stay, not big at all but clean. And it was the cheapest I had found.

The hotel was very good compared to the low price. We stayed in the 'lower grounds', where the rooms did not have full height everywhere. But I guess you get what you pay for :)

If you want cheap, clean accomodation convenient for London Euston and the new St Pancras stations, this is for you. Strictly no frills but there are plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby.

It was a 5 day stopover enroute to Spain. We are in our mid 60s and were carrying 4 suitcases. Our booked room was on the 3rd floor. There is no lift. It was a struggle to carry the luggage up the narrow stairs. If you plan ahead, there is luggage storage on the main floor, allowing you to leave all but one suitcase there; but we didn't know this when packing. On leaving, we booked a main floor room for our return stopover a month later. It was excellent and slightly larger than our first room. The location is excellent. We would stay again.

Great value for money. Our room was down below ground level next to the street so there was a fair bit of noise from the pub next door and people walking past in the middle of the night. No traffic noise though which was great. Very handy to tube. Internal stairs very steep for luggage

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights. As soon as I got in the room I was ready to checkout. They put us on the 3rd floor. The stairs are extremely narrow and they have no lift. The room was clean, but small. There is just enough room for the beds and one suitcase each (nothing more). It took 2 days for the room to air out from the air freshener (cologne) that was sprayed in it. The bathroom is actually a shower with a toilet and sink in it. It's hard to explain, but the floor of the shower IS the floor of the bathroom. There is no division. When you use the shower the ENTIRE floor gets wet. The walls of the room are paper thin. You can hear EVERYTHING. The staff is not very friendly. The ONLY good thing is that it's right by the Underground. I will NOT ever stay there again. This "hotel" is actually a hostel. Great for younger, single people.

We didn't expect the 4 seasons and therefore weren't dissapointed. The rooms are in an OK condition and you probably won't find a cheaper way to stay in central London. The King's cross station is right down the street so you can easily get downtown. Even though we would return there, we can not recommend the employees' service. If you're expecting a warm welcome or a friendly attitude, you will be merely dissapointed. We wouldn't recommend this hotel to families with young kids.

tiny rooms, but quiet and excellent location. Shower was lovely - most unlike some I've had in London where it's barely more than a trickle!! Would stay here again

It was not super clean but it was OK. The rooms are extremely small. If you are a couple get a twin room. Don't get a double. The beds and rooms are very small. The bathroom is super small. Overall though the price that we paid was the best we could find for a low budget. London is extremly expensive and this worked. The staff was not the friendliest but they were helpful if you pushed them and were nice to them. The area is not the best but the metro is 1 block away and Pancras train station is 1 block away also. Eurostar will begin to have service to Pancras so this will probably be convinient. I would look for other hotels before I went back to this one. If there were no other option I would stay again.

Nice, quiet, clean and cheap. Excellent base for a weekend-visit in London.

Don't use this hotel! It has nothing to recomment it. There is no lift. There are very narrow, winding halls and stairs. The bathroom floor was dirty and there was not even a bath mat provided. One bath towel each. No hand towels. One overhead light. The place is a dive.

Tiny room but good value, very clean and tidy and excellent location - both on a quiet street AND right next to King's Cross Station.

The double rooms are significantly more spacious thank the singles. The bathrooms are uniformly tiny which was expected so no big deal. Everything was very clean and the duvets were great. One big thing. There is no functioning phone for guest use in the hotel. So if you don't have a cell phone/mobile you have to walk to King's Cross every single time you need to make a phone call. It's really, really inconvenient and a bit ridiculous really.

Hotel very central situated. Qiuet area, but close to ransport and Kings Cross. Only bad thing: The a strong SMELL in the hotel was awful. Complaining was useless and nobody could explain why. It is impossible to stay ther for many persons due to the smell. I would not come back until the smell is gone!!!!!
