At first we were put in a basement room and I would not recommend this hotel if this were the only option. However we were moved to the upper floor with proper window/ventilation etc. and on this basis everything was exactly as indicated in the website. The kitchen is quite small which is perhaps typical of London. However it is extremely convenient being near the Paddington Railway station, tube stations and also Hyde Park. We will definitely stay here again but will be very careful to request an upper floor room.

Staff is not personable to cleints. The room is so inaccessible to the elevator that you would have to carry your luggage to your room.there was partial accessibility to the elevators...then we had to carry our luggage through some staircases to go to the room on the 3rd floor. The sofa bed for the 3rd and 4th occupants of this quad room was unprepared and the beddings were sent when we called on the phone late at night after we arrived from excursion that day.I frankly wonder if this place deserves a 4 star rating it claims to have .The room as a whole though was large and generally comfortable and quiet...inspire of its unusual location in the hotel. Not recommended for people with disabilities or a lot of luggage.

Very very nice - big room, with a kitchen, all very modern and well looked-after. The building is quite grand and has a pleasant olde-worlde feel (wood panelling, marble fireplace) in the lobby area. Well located near Bayswater shops and tube stations, easy walk to Paddington station. Lovely area, safe and clean, near Hyde Park. Relatively expensive, but that's London - represents good value for money, given the location.

Unfortunately we got a cellar room and it smells a little bit mouldy especially in the bathroom and the garderobe. But the room was nice designed and very clean.

The hotel was quiet and well located. But the room we were given was dark and for handicapped persons (we are not). Quite many things were broken (tap, bathroom door, toilet leak..). And the reception desk was not that pleasant. So we found the price too high for the room.

This was our first time to London and I found this hotel is an excellent hotel for the price. I will recommend this hotel to others. Not too far from Bayswate and Queensway Tube Stations. Worth the money.

Cleveland Square dispells the myth that London hotels are bad value. My husband and I stayed there for 5 days and were upgraded to a suite. We loved the space, the location (it was quiet, safe and clean - close proximity to Tube and Paddington Station where Heathrow Connect runs to i.e no need for an exhorbitant cab!!). There was free and reliable wifi also. THe room was modern, clean and did I mention S P A C I O U S, bed comfortable etc etc. We did not have breakfast there so cannot comment on this. All in all I would highly recommend Cleveland Square to anyone looking for a home away from home in London. Would be a great place to stay for business travellers for the same reasons...

I was travelling with sister and niece. The hotel is situated in quiet surroundings, close to Kensington Gdns. and tube stations- Queensway, and Bayswater- and within walking distance of Notting Hill and Portobello Rd. The only failure was: the sofa for the third person had a very flimsy mattress, not very comfortable

Brilliant hotel, specifically the fact that you have a bit more of an apartment and as far as I have experienced the fact that the wireless internet is for free is really a luxury

Yes, it was expensive for us. Comparing with Austria private hotels in Alps it is about twice more. But clean and kind people. I destroy the bedcover, the hole about 5 cm. I said it them and no finantial penalty wanted. Really excellent accomodation with kitchen and toilet inside the room.

Large rooms, very quiet except during room cleaning, excellent wide beds. We booked 3 rooms : 2 fridges were out of order. Small kitchens in the rooms : very nice but no pan. Why are there hotplates? A little bit far from the subway. Easy to reach from Eathrow Airport.

Das Hotel war wie beschrieben, sehr nettes Personal. Leider sind die Zimmer 1-10 im Keller. Zwar war unser Zimmer, sehr hell (No. 8) jedoch extrem laut wegen der Heizung/Klimaanlage.

For London in this range of hotels, we had an unusually large studio room with two double beds and a kitchenette, and space left to move around. The hotel being new from May 2007, everything functioned OK and was very clean. Staff was very helpful. The hotel does not serve breakfast or meals, but Queensway and Paddington are close by. Location is quiet as the Square is a no through road.

I had a wonderful time there. The hotel is new and clean, with friendly staff. Nice location, close to bayswater tube station and paddington. The only problem is with the heating. It automatically turned off at mid-night, which makes the room a bit cold. One of the best places I ever stayed in London. Will definitely visit again.
