For the 4 star hotel (as it was indicated on the hotel's profile) it had a very poor value. It's quite far from any metro stations, the rooms are quite worn... But the most disappointing thing for me was the absence of hot water in the bathroom.

Travelling with my parents in a second room: both assigned rooms were in the basement with windows looking toward the breakfast room. Opening the windows meant getting kitchen smell at certain times of the day.Very small rooms for a 4 star hotel.

Although, I had a perfect stay, in the mornings I would wake up always by the smelll of breakfast and the last night, someome was smoking inside the next room to mine and I could smell the awful cigarette smell and couldn't sleep.

We had booked 1 quad room and 3 twin rooms. When we arrived they said to us there was a problem with one twin room and they gave us two single rooms. We couldn't accept because we travelled with children and they can't sleep alone. They didn't give us any other solution. We didn't use the two single but they even wanted we pay for them. It was outrageous.

Hotel great, clean. Staff very helpful and friendly. Would go back , good value. Room for three people good size. Didn't have breakfast in hotel too expensive, can be bought near train station for £4. The only downside was bathroom so small you could brush your teeth in the sink whist sitting on the toilet! Have never seen a bathroom so small. Bath a joke !should be taken out and put shower cubicle in also Doors closing during night or early morning very noisy. Otherwise great.

Whilst the room and the furnishings are to be complimented, the lack of space was appalling; I couldn't even open my suitcase. Also, the bathroom was extremely small. I am of average build but when I stood in the shower recess, when I tried to wash myself, I kept inadvertently hitting teh tap and so turning off the water.

Really nice hotel, clean and comfortable. More spacious than expected given this is central london. Great location, hotel is five minute walk from Paddington train & tube station. Don't bother with the hotel breakfast it is a bit pricey and you can eat at the many cafes close by for a third of the price. Staff were friendly and helpful. Only criticism would be rooms are not very noise-proof - i was woken up by noisy guests next door but this could've just been unlucky, overall a great hotel and good value for money, I will stay here again.

Not good value for money. The hotel rooms need refurbishing. Bathroom are a joke. They are not big enough to stand in let alone take a bath in. Joked with my kids that I was going to fill up the bath and do thirty lengths before breakfast, but reality was if I got into the bath might not get out again. Shower was only option and that was not good. Temperature of water was up and down and at one point scolded my son. THIS IS DANGEROUS. Airconditioning hardly worked at all and room was over hot all the time. Room was not big enough ofr a family of four. Wardobe space was only suitbael for one perosn. Hotel staff lack basic knowledge of facilities and London in general, although pleasant enough. Location was good but would not stay here again if you paid me.

With regard to the central London accomodation quality, this has been a convenient choice. Rooms were small, but comfortable enough for single traveller. Breakfast was too expensive, therefore I chose to have a morning snack at the nearby Paddington station. Would I choose this hotel on a prospective London visit once more ? Probably yes.

Bruno

The hotel was nicely presented, reception area had a contemporary feel. We did not find the staff particularly friendly on check in, however they were efficient. The room, which was our main bone of contention was the smallest family room I have ever stayed in and we only had backpacks, I would dread to think what it would be like if we had suitcases with us.

The hotel was good, excellent location, walking distance from Paddington Station, tub and buses. The classification as four star hotel is not adequate. It can be considered as a good 3 stars hotel. Rooms were clean and spacius, with some facilities. The main problem of this structure is that bathrooms were the smallest I have never seen. The room was very hot, but if you consider that the 6th of April was snowing... Finally I can recommed it, good relation quality / price

The rooms ar ejust too small. You have to create some more space within the rooms. For example, instead of conventional TV, just put a wall mounted LCD TV. Beside this, not sure if the keyboard based internet access is required. This can be done away with. Also, think of replacing the conventional tray with cups, and flask etc with a wall mounted (space saver design) kettle etc. the good thing is; the rooms are clean and the staff is welcoming!:) I will contnue to patronize your facility and also recommend it to others. Room tiny. No clean towels supplied one day- informed reception, said they would deliver some, did not. Restaurant only does paninis and chips in the evening time and I heard the sound of a microwave beeping. The menu is one photocopied page, which must be passed around between tables. V hot and stuffy in room. terrestrial tv only. make up on fresh towel one day when I returned to room. Would not recommend.

The rooms are very small and noisy. You can hear your neighbors and the housekeeping staff is extremely noisy (lots of loud chatter; doors slamming) I also was very surprised that the hotel censors internet access. When questioned, the hotel staff was unable to unrestrict access and could not explain why the hotel had restricted sites to their paying customers. The area is a nice one and the price is reasonable, however I'd think twice before staying here.

All in all I had a very pleasant stay. The staff was very pleasant, professional and competant. The room and bathroom were a bit small but this seems to be standard in Europe. Very limited choice of TV channels. This bothered me more than the usual customer probably because I was in London for over a week and spent more time than usual in my room. One minor annoyance was the smoke alarm repeatedly going off in several of the rooms on my floor. I wouldn't hesitate to stay at this hotel in the future.

The hotel is very nice and modern. Unfortunately, there are couple of things that were very disappointing. First of all there is possibility of writing comments when you are booking the room. I did this, but before actuall check in I never heard from the hotel. Then the room I got was wall to wall with the reception and with the window to the street. It would be an idea to let people know what kind of room is going to be offered... Also in the hotel of this quality receptionists should put on the smile and make people feel welcome. An episode which I found unbelievably disappointing, was during the departure after the receptionist ordered the taxi. I had one big suitcase (heavy) and a bag. None of the staff (three of them standing in the reception, doing nothing) offered at least to open the door or help me with the things out to the taxi. I am choosing to be anonymous so this doesn´t get on the website. I really think the hotel has huge potencial, but there are things that definately should be improved

This Hotel was the biggest mistake of our holiday in Europe & UK! Breakfast was not included in the advertised tariff but is advertised on www.venere.com with the intention to misleading guests. The Hotel demanded full payment for our stay on arrival but this not advertised on the website. Hotel address on confirmation letter was incorrect so had difficulty finding the Hotel. Hotel did not respond to email queries prior to our arrival and London Premier Hotels did not return phone calls to discuss our concerns. Hotel general manager refused to take any responsibility for inconvenience we experienced.

The hotel was very centrally located and the breakfast and breakfast staff were outstanding. The personnel in 3-11 shift were impersonal and not concerned with customer service. We asked them to call for a taxi and when we got down they had given it to another guest. The young woman at the front desk stated this to us herself and was not even apologetic about it. The light bulb in the entrace hall of our room was burnt out and we reported it when we arrived. When we left three days later, the bulb had not been replaced. The room was very, very small and actually had to slide our backs against the wall to get to the other side of the bed. The hot water took at least 5 minutes to reach our shower. If there is new personnel who is better suited to deal with the public it might make it better.

The hotel itself was good for travellers who wanted to choose an easy to find location..and lots of landmarks! Room ( duplex ) was nice, makes you feel more a bit like you're home. As per the reservations online, our breakfast was included..yet when we checked--IT WASN'T. The staff was helpful the 1st day we arrived, she's a Chinese Lady by d name of MYO..very helpful and accomodating. The "other" female staff at the reception was arrogant and was not having any clue what "customer service" is all about ! We got her name though, we still have little bit of respect for her not to mention her name on the net for the whole world to know! Next time we come back, we'll amke sure that the breakfast is confirmed as well as the staff has to be the same Chinese lady who helped us a lot.

From the moment they laughed at me tring to get all my luggage up the steps to the moment I checked out, this was a terrible Hotel. Night staff were very unhelpful. Room was hot and airconditioning not turned on until March. My fridge didn't work in room (they promissed me they would fix it, they didn't) nor did the internet via the TV and the double bed was 2 singles put together. Restaurant closes at 10pm and their idea of room service is to order you a take away pizza. Don't think for minute there is a real bar in this place as the web page suggests. I let them book me a cab and it turned out to be a fixed rate job. 25 quid later for a fair that with a black cab cost 12 quid. Very dodgy! A firend of mine was staying at the same time, she was given single accommodation when she asked for double and they tried to charge her twice. Location was great and it could have been so much better. Staff let this hotel down as did basic facilities. It may be cheap but that's because it's bad. Spend the extra and stay somewhere else!

Soggiorno positivo.

The room we were initially given was very small. After several attempts to fix the broken central heating unit, we were shifted to a larger, more comfortable room. The heating still did not work, but they installed an electric heater which was very adequate. Bigggest issue was the bathroom which although very clean and well appointed, was quite small. The staff were always very polite and helpful. The location is terrific - 2 mins walk from paddington tube station and the bus stop. Happy to stay there again, but would be sure to book the larger style room.

The hotel is in a very conveninent area and close to the tube. We were given the room right next to the restaurant (common wall and doors next to each other) therefore we were woken up each morning as what seemed like hundreds of people walked past our door talking/laughing etc. We asked to be moved - for the rate we were paying they refused. The keyboard in our room didn't work and despite numerous requests to replace it or fix it nothing happened. The night staff were quite friendly but the day staff were horrible and I would have been amazed to see a smile on their faces once. Overall if you need a place to stay that is convenient to the city then it is nice and clean but if you expect any service I would stay elsewhere.

I agreed that my name will appear, because people need to know about this hotel. DON'T GO THERE. It was certainly the most horrible stay I had to do in a hotel. Despite the cost of the room, always expensive in London, our stay was terrible, we had to leave to another hotel. Why? First they allowed us a room on the ground floor. You couldn't open the windows, and the temperature in the room was around 35 degrees, in November. So we decided to change room, because if it's 35 degrees and you can't open the windows, it's a bit in a microwave in there. So they gave us a room on the last floor, which was even more hot (because we were on the top floor), but we could open the windows. But it was so hot that even no cold from outside could come into the room. I complained, they said all the rooms were like that. What they gave us was 2 fans. So we slept naked, window opened, with 2 fans working on the bed, in November, in London. No you are not dreaming. We were sweating all the time in this fu... room. Then the shower was not working. Even a man with a prostate cancer is more powerfull that the shower we had... We left after 2 nights, we had booked for 6. The staff was useless, wankers. Don't go there, it's outrageous. Unless you like to be in a room when it's 40 degrees... Simply a nightmare.

Whilst i did not actually stay at the hyde park due to a problem the hyde park was experiencing which meant the room was not available on the day, the staff handled the situation extremely well. An alternative 'sister' hotel the Shaftsbury Kensington was organised at the same price as well as a cab, fruit basket & wine. The Shaftsbury, newly refurbished, recently open was excellent. I believe I ended up in a great boutique hotel that was fantastic value. Well done to the Hyde Park staff for organising the alternative and handling the situation extremely well. I'd certainly consider them on my next trip.

Great value for money!Good location, easy to get from there to anywhere. The hotel actually looks like it should cost more than it did (although we had to climb up five floors in order to get to the room, the elevator wasn't working). The room is small but nicely designed, and the free internet access (via the TV, we had to put in our own batteries)is a bonus. I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone who doesn't want to spend too much time in the room.

As somewhere to sleep while you explored London the hotel was good as it was close to the Paddington station and shops and Hyde Park. The room was on the small side but functional and clean. The only problem we had was with the front desk staff on arrival we stood unattended for 5 minutes while the 2 staff talked to each other and as we had an early flight to catch we asked the night manager for a wake up call which he assured us was fine only to discover on return to our room that there was actually no phone located in our room (we hadnt thought to check earlier) on arrival at the front desk early in the morning to check out there was not a word spoken by the night manager (the same man) as to why he hadnt been able to make the call. All up a clean handily located place to stay for the price but make sure you check for a phone if you want a wake up call.

When we arrived, me and my girlfriend, we were told our room was not ready. No problem, we went for a walk, but when we came back, they told us there was not our double room available, but just 2 single room: can you immagine. the cleanliness was not so good, but ok. the double room we got the second night had the shower not working properly. Price is not ok for service offered. Any way the location is ok.

Furthermor the house was under repair which the web info said nothing about as far as I recall. Which didn´t disturb us since there were no men at work during our 4 days....but did disturb us since the temporary arrangement effectively took away every glimpse of daylight from our room! Furthermore we asked for a new light bulb in the little hallway in our room so we could see what we put in and out of the closet, but no light appeared through the whole stay.

I was very disappointed when I got to the Senator Hotel. Directions on how to get there from the Airport or metro were done poorly on the webpage. The entire staff at this place was very unwelcoming and it made my wife and I very uneasy the whole stay. The concierge never bothered to greet us nor smiled at least once. Also, the only one elevator was not working and we had take the winding stairs. In addition, there was no a/c and the heat was sometimes unbearable. The entire stay was very unpleasant. I don't think the rating of this hote or motel was placed apprietely. I would say the Senator can be rated as 1 star not a 3 how is mentioned on the webpage.

Conveniently located in quiet residential surroundings, it is an acceptable choice. You get what you pay for, nothing more or less. Only if some staff could be more responsive and helpful, I probably would give it a higher rating.

The rooms was very small, the bed for the double room was small for two people, it was like a sleeper, the bathroom was very very small and very very old.
