Hotel Searcys Roof Garden Rooms - London

We have stayed in this hotel previously and returned because of the cosiness and prime location for central London. The last time we stayed we requested a twin room, which we duly received, this time however, we received a double despite a twin being booked. The room was slightly noisy even though it was high, noise coming from a function below & the clearing away of chairs was particularly audible. Perfect location if you are intending to shop & some great restaurants nearby - we only needed a taxi once to get to Soho,everything close to hand or within tube distance.

I stayed 6 nights. The room was quite big. The breakfast is provided in room which was nice. I could smoke at the garden room. Only thing I couldnt stand was the water pressure was really low.

This time we stayed three nights. In general I find the hotel excellent as well for business purposes as for private holiday (as in this case). It is well situated (not far from the center, but still in a quiete part of the busy city). The atnmosphere is friendly and very service minded.

A good value place to stay in a good location. The rooms are a bit small, the wallpaper a bit worn/stained, some small holes in some of the linens, but the hotel feels quite clean, the staff is very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast, while basic, is not bad. A great place to stay if price and location are important. Not a great place for those who want a luxurious room. I think the photos on their website make it look a little more posh than it is.

The staff are excellent-welcoming and friendly. The rooms are comfortable but a bit tired; the seats on the lavatories of both rooms we stayed in were very loose, and the hook on the bathroom door of one hanging by one (loose) screw (which presumably is why we didn't get the promised robes)and the curtains need cleaning. The breakfast was rather pre-packaged, with weak coffee and tasteless fruit salad; surprising for a hotel run by Searcy's. But the hotel is well-located, and good value for money.

Unique. Quirky. Definitely will return.

Although it is a B&B, after getting used to the rather mysterious way of getting in and out of the premises. Searcy's was a little gem. And to know what I mean, you have to stay there. This would be more fun during a warmer month than March in London with some slight snow, as the garden was not used. Not suited for large suitcases. Breakfast service in room only, and nice. Reseption and staff very friendly and attentive.
