Hotel Paddington - London

The double room was very small but ok for a single person with hand luggage. Not sure how a couple with suitcases would have managed though. Decor tired, but clean. Good value for money considering the location. More suitable for a short stay.

I've found this hotel excellent and the right compromise price/quality! Good position in London near two different metro stations and a very beautiful park. The room was clean. The hotel staff was kind. If I come again to London, I'll return at this hotel.

Our room was very nice, big and comfortable. Breakfast was good but not typical british! We were in London for 6 days and we had any kind of problem!!!!

Pros - good location - not far from the Paddington train station Cons - Room very small, bathroom was dirty, blind didn't work properly, loud noise from street below. Man on reception didn't know where the train station was. Reception across the road. Overall . . . I would not recommend this hotel.

Paddington hotel is in a terrific spot for dining and exploring London. Thoroughly recommend for location.

I was travelling with my brother. We wanted to book an affordable hotel near Hyde Park. So Paddington was great! Although it's a very basic hotel and not everything was very clean, we had a great stay!

Luckily we got a big and special room from downstairs with the wiew to the street! The staff was wery polite and friendly. Web pages didn't tell the reception is across the street.

Fairly old and cramped but nice and close to Paddington station it may be standard for the price in London I will let you know after our next stay in another hotel in Notting Hill in 2 months

Only one problem: 2 days without water in the bathromm. The breakfast is not typycal english breakfast.

Above the standards. Old building, dirty mouquette on the floor everywhere. Bathroom very small and poor in the furniture.

Nice and clean hotel with good price/performance-ratio. Hyde park and subway (lancaster gate station) to reach within 5 minutes walk.

The hotel I originally arrived at was across the street from the main reception. And the condition of the hotel I was supposed to stay in was appalling and depressing and rundown. So they found me a different room accross the street. This room was a mini studio with a kitchenette which was nice. But the room itself, rather rundown again. The breakfast is just a bit of cereal and coffee in a sad room. The staff just watched me struggle with my bags and never bothered to help. I chose the hotel based on location. But have stayed in other hotels in the neighborhood before, and will do so next time. This is not a desirable hotel.

Didn`t like the neighbourhood, breakfast was served across the street on another building.

It's not really the place to meet people, centrally located to the land marks and close to the underground, breakfast was good, rooms were spacious by London standards with a new ensuite, however if you have trouble climbing stairs this is not the place for you as there is no lifts and there are 5 stories.

The paddington has been a nice stay, the double room was very clean, quiet, with a nice bathroom(quite small, though), comfortable beds and a lot of space. The staff wasn't very nice, quite silent and austere, sometimes with nothing better to do than starring at you(??).The breakfast was sufficiant, but the room where you take it and the staff down there were really not welcoming at all. Anyway I slept like a baby and that's really all I was asking for! cheap and nice!

Very noisy street below. no elevator. no public area except breakfast room. good neighbourhood. close to underground. toilet broke but fixed quickly. check in at hotel across street.

We where very happy with the hotel. Short walk from Paddington Station, where we connected to Heathrow. Lots of good restaurants and shops in the area. Friendly and very helpful staff. We would stay there again- good value at the price.

Very central, just 200 m away from Paddington station. Ideal when you arrive with Heathrow express. Big roms. Very good quality, for so little money. Veldig sentralt. Bare 200 meter fra Paddington station. Kjempesentralt når du kommer inn til byen med Heathrow express. Store rom. Veldig bra kvalitet i forhold til prisen.

All of the staff at the hotel from check in, breakfast room and housekeeping provided excellent service. The actual room had an odour that was somewhat unpleasant (maybe cigar or cigarette) and did need some repairs to be done. A hint for future guests, this hotel has no lift so be prepared to carry the bags up the staircase, and no air conditioning. The hotel is located in a good area one street back from Hyde Park, no problems with walking or public transport and plenty of places to eat very close by.
