The only reason for the low scores re value for money is that i paid well over the odds as i stayed during Olympics, otherwise under normal pricing this would have been good / value for money being in London.

In Switzerland this hotel would never be rated as a 3 star hotel but rather 1 star. Rooms are so small you can hardly turn around. It is not a hotel room where you can spend an evening on a rainy day. It is really only for turists who travel with a back pack and want a room just to sleep.

Fine as a modest tourist hotel. Not so easy for a business traveler. Surcharges for more than 1 hour of wi-fi, have to ask the front dest to unlock the phone for a local or toll free call (and they don't have written instructions for such things in the room). But absolutely fine, convenient and clean if you want convenient location while visiting London -- and if you don't have much luggage!

The staff were very helpful and very polite, really nice people. The hotel is kept very clean, anyway in our bathroom there always was this strange rancid odour (not too strong), which improved slightly using vent. The wifi didn´t work well in our room, I´d go for a different modem. There was no wardrobe in our room. Generally we liked the place and will come back again. The Tube is behind the corner, as well as many cafés and different restaurants.

We were welcomed on Saturday with enthusiasm. We arrived earlier than check in time, but the person at the desk was very helpful making suggestions about how to spend our time until the rooms were available. The rooms were very clean and the staff exceptionally friendly. I would stay at this hotel any time due to the friendly nature of the staff.

We really enjoyed our stay here. It is in a seemingly nice area with several different restaurants close by that were good and reasonably priced. The Earl's Court tube station is a two or three minute walk away and is directly connected to the District, Circle, and Piccadilly lines which will take you to every place you likely need to go as a tourist (Heathrow, plus all major attractions). We were in a room with a single double bed and the room was very small, so if you have a ton of luggage or are very large/overweight people it might not be the best choice for you. Also don't try and cram more than two people into the room. The bathroom was also very small but the shower was nice with good water pressure and there is a small desk good for putting on makeup and such. There was a small flatscreen TV in the room with a nice selection and range of channels if you want to relax and watch some TV before bed. In summary if you are a couple who is traveling light and wanting a nice, clean room to use as a "base" where you basically just shower and sleep I would highly recommend this place.

Very clean hotel in an excellent location. Would definitely stay here again. The only down side was that our room was so small (as in you struggle to sit on the toilet and close the door as it was crammed against your knees!) If you have small legs or don't mind being a bit squashed it's fine. Overall great value for London centre and the proximity to Earls Court tube station. :)

Room very small, very noisy in the morning, but we were at street level.. ask for a room upstairs and it will be better! Staff are nice, location fantastic. A bit expensive but it's London... in another town you can find better, but here is ok. Location perfect for tourism. Ideal for young people or couples in holiday without many problems.

Very good location and area. Very nice, kind and helpfull staff. We refused the first room offered because too tiny (impossible to put two persons and two suitcases in the room!). They offered us a family room to be helpfull. The beds are good quality. A nice place to eat: the lebanese take in and take away in Earls Court road (number 170 to 180).

The people at the hotel were very helpful, but the room was small, shabby- sorely in need of paint and new wallpaper. There was NO storage in the bathroom. The shower was almost impossible for my wife to get in and out of as a handicapped person. The water pressure in the shower was non existant as was the hot water. Fortunately, we spent very little time in the room itself, we were too busy loving the city of London.

The room was smaller than expected and it was impossible to use the toilet without sitting at an angle to avoid the sink. The hotel was under renovation and our room had been completed so it was freshly painted but flooring and bathroom were still dated. Close proximity to the tube station is a mixed blessing if you are a light sleeper. Overall, location and convenience to transportation is great for the price but don't expect to spend a lot of time in the room.

Unfortunately my stay was quite a disappointment. I woke up the 1st morning when water from the room above came through the ceiling to my room. Got another room in the uppest floor the next evening but no compensation. And even in that room there was mold due to an ealier water damage. Rather unfriendly staff and poor service. Despite the excellent location I can't say price / quality is worth recommending to anybody.

The hotel is on a quiet corner in a neat and well cared for community. The tube was so close we could get anywhere quickly. We had two rooms to accommodate our two college aged kids. Rooms are too small for squeezing. Closets doors hit the foot of the bed and could not open all the way. But hey, we really only needed a place to sleep. After traveling two days to get to London from Hawaii, the bed felt very good. The staff was very accommodating to our requests. We loved the convenience of the Oliver Plaza and would return. Warning: No Internet in the hotel, but a very good selection of internet cafes and other creature comforts exist on the main drag. a block away.

Rooms were okay but you could hear pedestrian traffic well into the night (had a corner room). Cheap, and easy access to underground. You should also get supplementary directions, venere.com directions only gets you with the vicinity of the hotel. You won't even know which was to turn when you leave the tube station. By the way, you make a left when you leave the Earl's Court station then make your first left. Walk about a block and the hotel will be on the corner on your right.

The location is the best thing about this hotel. It is extremely close to the tube which leads to everything in London. It is a small place with not many rooms. The night receptionist wasn't really wellcoming, he demanded the payment straight away even before greeting us. Apart from that, the room/bathroom is small but enough for a short stay specially at these prices. We were leaving on a late flight and it was offered to us lo leave our stuff in a luggage room (no charge)which was really handy. Stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. Room looks quite run down with wallpaper peeling off. Location is not that near to the train station unlike what the map provided by the website states. Along the way, saw more nicer hotels at much cheaper price which is closer to the train station and cheaper by 10-20pounds. Got a room in the basement which was next to the area where the hotel prepares food. Terrible experience as you will smell deep fried oil in early morning which really spoils your appetite. Unfriendly reception staff as well.

I got a nice room, very little space, but clean and quiet. But that was after refusing another room, below ground level. What if I had got in later and had no choice? Very well located, close to Earl's Court underground station.

Tha rooms are tiny but if all you want is a place to sleep in a nice part of London it is fine. Breakfast is chaotic with unraind staff harrassing guests who are bemused about what they have to pay for.

It's well located, close to the tube and in a nice neighbourhood. The rooms are brights but quite small. The bathroom can barely hold a person.

I stayed at the Oliver Plazza for 3 nights and it was globaly ok. The 2 first nights we were in a tiny but really clean and nice bedroom with a nice view. Then we ask to stay 1 night more so we had to move and the room was not that nice: older with a dirty carpet and a smaller window without any view. Concerning the staff it depends on the people really: some of them were nice, some other not really... Anyway, the area is beautifull and I realy enjoy my time there . I would like to go there again and I think it wasn't expensive. (less than in Paris)

Good evening, My stay in Hotel Oliver Plaza is good. The director and work'persons are nice. People who come to the hotel are various, such students and strangers persons, but the people are not very distinguished. I'm staying in London on 3 days. Earsl'Court is a quarter very animated for visiting and doing purchases.

In overall the hotel was as expected at this price. We stayed over weekend. The quality of the room is not outstanding and not that good as on the picture, but its quite clean, though small. There were only two things that could stop me from returning to this place: 1) the double room was specifically requested but only twin in the basement was provided, the staff argued, that the booking came late and 2)the wallpaper was hanging off the wall in one corner of the room. But the location is excellent, its Kensington for such low price and 2 min from the tube station and there are a lot of night busses coming nextby. So if you have a room not in the basement than I reommend to stay in hte place. Can tell anything about quality of the breakfast, never managed to try.

Affordable hotel extremely near to Earl Court station, room was good enough (but not very well cleaned),TV and bathroom were OK,walls and glasses are good enough to keep the pace quiet, continental breakfast was ok even if not remarkable: one negative thing was that our last night we were suddenly woke up by the fire alarm at 3 AM and as soon as,very worry,I called the reception they simply told me it was a false alarm (...) Fire alarms can cause great fear and would have to be avoided at any cost if unnecessary...in particular in the middle of the night...pay more attention next time and think that people with heart diseases could have strong problems with such a similar experience...

All the, except one of them who stays for the night, receptionists was very helpful and friendly, specialy for the morning, they were really nice persons. The room inwhich we stayed first night was on the top floor (roof level) and it was very hot, small and the bathroom also was very small, but second night they changed it and we stayed in a triple room which is quite ok. In bath only problem was: when you take a shower, evenif there was a glass material attached to bathtube to keep water inside, the floor was getting wet. If you want, eachday they can change the towels. Breakfast was as usual as should be according to price. Cheese, cornflakes, ham, butter, jam, toast, yogurt, tea, coffee, milk. Hotel is very good situated, just 2 minutes walk from Earl's Court tube station. And around, there are supermarkets and McDonalds, other fast food restaurants and other restos. Also there are bus connections. After check-out you can leave your baggages into baggage room. There is a small kettle to make tea or coffee in the room, they put also tea and coffee, sugar, they are free. I never used kettle since I was afraid of using pipe water. We passed a good holiday in this hotel. Maybe I can suggest one thing to owners: it is better to renew pillows. The other things are ok.
