It was our best choice in London till now. Location is optimal, very good connection to every part of London. Our room was quiet, had enough space (for extra charge). What we specifically missed was a hanging wardrobe. Kind staff, except in the breakfast restaurant. If English breakfast is availabe only for extra price, it is a bad solution to offer it in the same room.

Even though the hotelroom is the smallest I've yet lived in, in London, it is overall the best hotel. a little noice from the street and that we didn't manage to get the radiator working are the only actual negative things, but London is a big city so street noice should be expected and we never asked for help to the radiator. The 4£ ekstra for full english breakfast are well spend, and for the first time in London, we had breakfast on the hotel everyday.

Norfolk Tower is quite good. Room are very little but clean. There is no wardrobe in the room just a stand to hang cloths and few drowers. The bed is insetad vety confortable and the bathroom clean. In the room you find a boiler with coffe and tea. Personnel in the reception is helpful but not the one of dinning room. If you want an english breakfast remember to ask for it once you book, it means higher price. The hotel is located in a very good place, Paddington, near the tube. Just in front of the hotel shops and resturants and an internet point(cause internet in the hotel is not free)

The hotel was in line with my expectations: I wanted a cheap hotel close to Paddington station. The room was modest, the hotel settings very modest: but staying in London for 70 euro per night is a good bargain. I won't use again the hotel, and I will continue my search for a better place to stay in the Paddington area.

The staff were brilliant, we were dispointed that the room was so small. but it was clean, the room lacked that exxtra , smartness. the lack of a patterned bed spread instead of just a duvee would have smartened the room up, i just felt a little hemed in .

An OK average hotel which we would try again if our favourite hotel room in the area is not available. Attractive area with bus stop outside the hotel. (Bus from city and from the North East) They charged £7 more than the price promised at the Venere web.

The room could NOT have been smaller. The heating was full blast and far too hot with no means of control (we asked reception) except opening the window. the carpet was threadbare, actual threads beside the bed. The furniture, furnishings and bathroom were old and looked it. The room was clean enough. Breakfast was simple continental and included in price. The price reflected the bedroom, it was cheap. The location was excellent, a few minutes from hydepark and tube.

Stay 6 nights - feb 09 1- staffs are not professional, rude, not helpful case 1: (the room was extremely hot, coz of the radiator, the staff didn't help to turn down, but just left the room. luckily, another staff came and turn that down.) case 2: (when we asked for the time needed from the hotel to the heathrow by taxi, the staff at the front desk gave no help, and very rude, she shouted "can you give me a sec, i am on the phone, but obviously there was no one answering. case 3: (we booked the "van" from the hotel to st pancras, they charged us 20 GBP, but it only cost 11 GBP when we took the taxi in return) already ignored the long faces everytime when we get back our room keys from the front desk. APART FROM THE ABOVE POOR SERVICES STAFFS, I STILL LIKE 1) good breakfast included, with fresh fruits, bread, yogurt, cereal, coffee 2) clean rooms, with standard cleaning kits provided 3) excellent location, near to the tube/ fast access to heathrow/ safe n beautiful area/ many restaurants 4) good price i will stay again just ignoring those unfriendly people.

Paying 89 pounds per night (original reservation was for 2 nights, fortunately could do a last minute change for the second night before arriving), I must say it is way too expensive. For 40 pounds would have been ok (still ugly, but cheap), but the amount payed was crazy.

Fairly good hotel. Surroundings are great for exploring the city! The rooms are ok! However, staff wasn´t top notch...I had to make changes to the reservation since one of my travel partners had to stay home, thereby cancelling one of the rooms we had booked(several weeks before the stay). I received an e-mail from venere stating that I had to contact the hotel directly in order to make any changes to the reservation. When doing so the hotel wrote that changes had been noted. However, when arriving at the hotel the staff knew nothing about this. Luckily, I brought a copy of the e-mail to prove my point. The hotel staff didn´t take any notice about it though. However, they did not charge me for the room being cancelled. This, as I was told, was only due to their good will...O-kaaay

Very good hotel if you catch a good offer (i paid less than 40 gbp for a twin en-suite inclusive of breakfast). The room (303) was very small, but also well cleaned, which is the main point. The only problem of our stay was the noise from the street during the night and early in the morning. We had breakfast outside the hotel, so I can't say anything about that. I would stay again (but with ear plugs!) and recommend it, especially for the good location.

Very disappointing. Like being cheated. We were placed in a room on the ground floor where the A/C system just outside the window made a relentless noise. How can anybody being seriouss in this business rent out a room like that? We asked to be moved and we were given a room on the first floor. In that room we could not regulate the heating. The temperature was 25-27 degrees all day and night! What a waste of energy! Is this 2008? The staff promised to call maintenance. Didn't show up/fix the problem. Instead the staff closed the heating in the room. After that it was cold.

The staff was polite and nice. You could see that it was an old hotel, and especially when the water from the room above started dripping in to our bathtube. There was some noice from the street outside the window, mostly from the busses passing through the street below. Localization was perfect with just few minutes from Paddington station. Made it very easy to travel to and from Heathrow. Was not suprise of the qualty of the hotel since the price was so low, and maybe will be used again on a later occasion.

The area is excellent...close to Paddington Station, restaurants, internet cafes, tube, etc. Rooms on upper floors appear to be the largest and seem to be used for guests staying longer than 3 days. No frills, but adequate, and good for the price. Other than a mildew smell in the bathroom, the room was adequate. One problem....we asked for a wakeup call on our morning of departure and didn't get it. Not good!! However, we'd stay at Norfolk Towers again when traveling to London on a budget.

We just needed a place to stay overnight, but if I should ever go back I would definitely book a longer stay here. The rooms were clean, neat, and comfortable. The staff was friendly and efficient. The breakfast room was also very nice and the food was tasty. Plus the hotel is very conveniently located close to Paddington train station, lots of underground stations, and within walking distance to Marble Arch and Hyde Park. It was really very lovely.

The hotel is located on a perfect place, much closer to Paddington station than I expected. The room was just as small as I imagined, so no surprises, enough if you intend to sleep only. I was very pleasantly surprised by the coffee and tea facilities in the room. The personnel were very kind and professional. If you stay for more than 3 nights, you get a breakfast, included in the accommodation price. Although there are several hotels around, some maybe cheaper, next time I’ll definitely go to Norfolk Towers again.

Location is ideal for anyone arriving on the Heathrow Express. I only required a room for one night, as too late for train home. Only five minutes walk from Paddington station. In the heart of a cosmopolitan area with numerous restaurants, & small cafes open on a Sunday evening. Excellent value for money. Ensuite spacious bathroom. hairdryer provided, tea & coffee & T. V. I have paid over three times the price in Copenhagen in a a similar locality, with less space and services. The English breakfast is good and reasonably priced.

Bathroom very small( no bidet) but clean.Bedroom on the superior floor under the roof : in summer ,I think that this room is very hot-there is not a conditionator . Continental breackfast is sufficient but not flavorous( few fruit and vegetables ). Near to Hyde Park and bus and U-tube( Paddington station).Good idea: Big Bus Tour for city-seeing in London Street and Pub Pride of Paddington for fish and chips and other specialities. The Hotel is near Saint Mary's Hospital.Good collocation for tourists and students if prices could be comprised.

The hotel staff were not very friendly but the room (and hotel) itself was well-equipped, very clean, and quiet. The bed was very comfortable despite being a twin! This hotel is fantastic bargain for the money. I would definitely stay here again and will recommend it to fellow travelers to London. One word of caution: if you want to use wi-fi you have to pay extra; the cost of doing so is not worth it considering that the signal was weak and it was at times impossible to get internet access. The hotel needs to provide better service in this regard or stop advertising that internet access is available to customers.

Good surrounding, 5 min from Paddington station and buses 30m away from the hotel. Staff helpful although not always so prepared( depends on who you get). Fair room, not huge but not too small (and for London that' good!), ok bathroom with bath tub. Street in front of the hotel can get a bit noisy, nothing dramatic but you'll hear bus and cars passing. Unbeatable choice for London at 32GBP per night (single room), still competitive if you get the 69 GBP deal. Definitely remember it for next stay in London.

The room we got was obviously "a special price room" for a reason. Every night some guys stood outside the window smoking and chatting making us difficult to sleep early. The staff though were eager to go and talk to them and make them go somewhere else to hang but still it made our stay a bit difficult. The staff was nice and the location is very good. Only 2 min.walk to the underground and restaurants and 7/11 stores are only few steps away. I'm sure our stay would have been much more pleasant if we would have gotten another room though. But you get what you pay for and this was the best deal we found on the net. If you are not going to spend alot of time in your hotelroom this is a reasonably fine hotel and good location.

Fantastic value and very convenient for a couple on overnight (or short) stay. Other comments have complained about room size, but central London for 50 pounds a night at this standard can't be beat, honestly. You should be out and about in any case! Rooms we saw were clean and well-kept, everything worked: no problems. Hotel was happy to keep our bags for us when we were too early to check in, allowing us to go lunch and shop. Easy access to Tube on Praed Street (Bakerloo, Circle, Hammersmith & City lines) and Heathrow Express five minutes walk away at the railway station. Walking distance down Edgeware Road (Sheesh and Lebanese food) towards Marble Arch (20 minutes); Oxford Street a comfortable distance away (30 minutes, max). Day of departure, again, they happily kept our bags for the day. Ended picking them up at 9PM after more shopping and dinner! Overheard a complaint made to front desk about a TV not working (who watches TV whilst staying in London, FGS?). In our experience, however, excellent value and would gladly stay again. BTW, the restaurant Frontline just down the road though pricey (70 quid for two) is exquisite. Worth making a booking if you're too tired to bother searching further afield for grub!

Mostly because of it's excellent placing close to the Paddington station, this is a great hotel if you are in London as a tourist since most locations are reached within a short ride on the underground. The rooms themselves are tidy and well looked after, especially the bathrooms witch keep a pleasant high standard, but the furniture is not first class, bringing the overall impression down a bit. The bottom line is this, if you get a good quote from venere.dom, jump on it, it'll beat the price you'll get at the desk, and it is most likely a good bargain.

We, a young couple and my sister, stayed there for 5 nights. Our room was noisy and warm because it was on level 4 ( it was right over the street so we used earplugs to sleep) hers was on level 2, quite small but well temperatured and not noisy at all. The cleaning service was ok, and we had an elevator, so there was no problem of getting our luggage into our room. We didn't use the breakfast at the hotel because we prefered to eat in a little cafe close by ( just a 2-3 minute walk) and it was affordable and typical english. Tube station, bus station all within 3 minute walks, same with different fast food stores and a supermarket.

Being on the third or fourth floor, apparently meant that getting hot water was often delayed. After nearly an hour of letting the water run, the manager agreed that the shower was not going to work. Tried moving to another room but that was the same. Finally, third room was ok, but not overly hot water. Great Italian restaurant nearby. Obviously popular with locals. Service not perfect, but pleasant enough and food was very good.

This was my first time at this hotel. The hotel is in an ideal location walking distance to paddington station and one of the hop on hop off bus stops. There's lots of small restaurants in the area... Unfortunately the room itself was very small. the bathroom is so small - the sink and the toilet are almost conjoined! There's no space to move around or even turn around in the bathroom. There's a big hole at the bottom of the hotel room door - I noticed all the rooms on the floor had this. Its rather irritating because you get to hear all the sounds coming from the hall way, and the light gets in, plus someone can quite easily put their head under the door and take a peek at you!

I booked single & double room for 3 people. Especially,Single room was too small to open ruggage. That's the smallest room I have ever seen. And doesn't have bus tub. I believe that the room size is like king-sized-bed! So I recommend everyone should book double room for single use. We were annoyed by a labyrinth of corridors, but Good location, Nice staff.

If you an individual, budget traveler who needs to leave by train from Paddington, it would be the best choice to stay at Norfolk Tower. Actually location is not bad for touring around London. The room was clean and well-equipped and the bathroom even had bath-tup. All this was provided only at 30 pounds. I missed a lot the hotel when I had to pay more for worse accomodations in other countries.

Good value hotel walking distance to Hyda Park and just a few Metro stops to the City Center and all the most famous London's turist spots..Rooms are a little oldie style and need to be re-furnished..remember to book romms with private bathroom, because there are some rooms with public toilets. In general good location and services provided...I would book again if come back to London

Very good for a London hotel in this price-range (around GBP 50 per night for double room). Clean and nice. Great location close to tube station, many resturants and pubs.

This hotel was very well located. Paddington station and the Heathrow Express were just 3 minutes walk away. Local cafes, restaurants and pubs were great. The hotel room was very, very small, hot and stuffy. We were told it was an 'executive' room on the 5th floor. I looked at a double room on the fourth floor which was even smaller. The bed did not fit! The staff was not helpful or friendly. Nobody cared about us. The phone didn't work. We were asked to pay the full amount when we arrived at 2am due to a problem at Heathrow.

You can't believe how small is the single room but once you know it... Anyway it was clean; the hotel is a few minutes walk from Paddington stn and very close to Oxford Street. Recommended for a short stay with a low budget.

The location is perfect a very short walk from Paddington Station. The room we had was on the front street which is very busy. The room we had was the smalest hotel room I have ever seen or been in. On our return to London we asked for a bigger room and were accomidated. Suggestion...ask for a double room. Over all a good location, clean with a helpful staff

Don't ever try to have reservation of room of this hotel ! Solely because of the so-called hotel female staff “Yolanda” on reception. She was the rudest person I ever met. When we arrived at the hotel the staff “Yolanda” was extremely rude. She did say though we had reservation of room via internet (what kind of service- guaranteed room), we had to move to another nearby hotel with better quality without stating any reason, without mentioning number of nights to stay (even though 1 night is applicable). Only we had to do was to pay prior their sending us to that hotel. We don’t think this practice (payment before check in; shifting to other hotel without prior notice by email but just upon our arrival) is viable in UK, that is a EU state. If the staff was polite enough, we could make it without any complain. But the most pin-point was the rudest staff kept saying “No, No, No…” to our question (observe the new hotel before pay) and kept yelling and “bla, bla…” without saying excuse me/apology. She was the one, ever since I met, make customers extraordinarily feel upset. When we want back our luggage from the luggage storage after touring, there was a crowd waiting for check-in. The said staff just kept us waiting and waiting several and several minutes, we were again being ignored and of course we got to catch our flight at that time. We don’t think she had rendered the right service to customers. She could simply ask other staff’s assistance if she could not well manage the front desk matters. But we only noted that she stared at us but facing the crowd. Norfolk Towers Hotel needs urgently be refurbished with receptionist. The elevator was a challenge getting luggage into; old furniture; very low room size; breakfast very average; street nearby is quite busy; TV didn't work properly.

Front entrance very smart, didnt quite match the room we stayed in, although the room had everything we needed. the restaurant was a bit of a mystery to us - i think they were doing meals in the bar which was full of middle aged contractors i didnt particularly want to eat in front of. shame breakfast wasnt included either but theres plenty of places nearby to eat. room we stayed in was on the road so a bit noisy early in the morning and it didnt help that the radiator came on one night so we had to keep the window open because it was too hot.

Hotel room was very small no wardrobe (hooks on wall ) bathroom too small for more than one person at once. hotel staff did or would not open bar for residents told to use "pub " further down road we had upgraded to executive room ( this meant that the room had been painted that year ) as we arrived a first floor window was broken from the inside with glass landing on the street outside two days later the window was still broken I reccomend that you only book this hotel if no other hotels are available

In one of the days i stayed at this a hotel, the police were in the lobby. a spanish family have complains against the hotel. i inquired at the front desk as to what was happening. a male staff informed me nothing has happened. i don't think this was an honest thing to do. i would have appreciated if the staff explained to us the situation so that we can check our own rooms for our valuables, if a theft had occured or not. we can actually overhear what the guests were complaining about and even though that there is still no conclusion as to what has happened, transparency from the staff would have been appreciated. afterall, safety, apart from the rooms and locations, are important when choosing a hotel.

I booked a double, then my travel companion canceled on me. Good thing I kept the double, because the room was very small. We would have been stepping on each other had we both been in there. Other than that, everything was terrific. Great location, easy to reach public transportation, lots of cabs around, great walking area with shops, restaurants, pubs, parks. Great service at the front desk and restaurant. Room was clean and cozy. Water pressure was good in the shower. Given how expensive London is anyway, I felt satisfied with the price and quality.

Don't get the suite! Is more expensive and smaller than any other room. This hotel is a rip off. They are so rude to the costomers in the desk. Really missleading pictures. The room was smaller than the bed! And it was the suite! BAD!!!

Knowing that London was going to take a toll on my wallet, I wanted to make sure that we spent money on the sights and just use the hotel to sleep at night. Staff was very nice and competent. Rooms were small but not teeny - basically as expected. Saved money by walking to Piccadilly Train Station for breakfast. Stay at the hotel but spend your money on the sights of London! Too much to see!

Very convenient for Paddington Station and Hence Circle, District, Hammersmith and City and Bakerloo Tube Lines (about a 2-3 minute walk) so all parts of London very easy to get to. Hotel in quiet street with very little noise. The only downside was there was only one lift which took ages to arrive and we were on the 5th floor

Hello! It was a really quiet and cleany room. The best thing of the hotel was the continental breakfast. It was wonderful and sufficient. The location of the Hotel is really good. The way to the underground only takes about 5 minutes. For example Madam Tussaud is only 2 circle-line stations away from the hotel. So everything was fine! I will stay at the "Norfolk Towers Hotel" with pleasure again the next time. :-) best regards Mario

The pictures didn't correspond to our room thats for sure. It was teeny tiny. Peeling wall paper and very dated furniture. It was so small that the double bed was pushed up against one wall so only one side to get in and out of, which was a right pain! and even then it was a squeeze to get around the bed! Add a bit of luggage to the mix and you have a very very cramped room! The bathroom was clean and definately the best bit although it was definatly only one at a time in there! The only good thing was the location. which was 5 mins walk from Paddington station.

Hotel was good value for money, however extremely noisy (thin walls, windows and floors). Bathroom was very small but very clean and functional. Proximity to Paddington Station is great.
