I was making a short break in London and this venue was ideal from the point of view of convenience to transport and places I wished to visit. I was very very pleased with the pleasant and helpful staff and how clean and well-appointed the room was. My only problem was that when I booked the room I told the person I had mobility problems and yet I was given a 3rd floor room when there was no lift. However, I was given assistance and managed okay. I was also told that the hotel staff had not been advised of my mobility problems.

Good value & very useful for early travel from St Pancras. Breakfast good & served promptly & efficiently. As an older traveller, it would have been very useful & helpful if there had been a luggage lift (it is understandable that the hotel cannot add a passenger lift because it is a Georgian building).

The location a couple of blocks from The station was great for me. I had a room at the back of the hotel that had no street noise, but the room Dorris are on automatic closers that caused them to slam shut which was very noisy. The included breakfast was a sorry excuse for a full English breakfast so after my first morning I didn't bother to go back. The hotel has three floors of rooms all located above street level and no elevator so be prepared to carry your bags up one or more flights of steps inside the hotel.

the hotel is a small comfortable place very close to kings cross /st pancras stations...although my single room was small it was very clean it was adequate for a short stay...the problem was the tiny childs bed in the room...i had a terrible nights sleep it was not big enough for an adult...it really spoiled an otherwise very pleasant stay.if i cant get a decent nights sleep i dont see the point of staying at this hotel again

We stayed at the Meridiana for three nights, and we were quite pleased with the value and location of the property. The en suite room was small, but clean - adequate for our needs. And the location was superb, being only one and a half blocks from Kings Cross & St. Pancreas stations. From there, we were able to easily access all areas in London by tube, as well as catch a train to Scotland. We would stay here again.

This is essentially a youth hostel with individual rooms. There is barely room for luggage in the room (if you do manage to get a bag in next to the bed you can't walk around it to the door or the bathroom), there are no phones, the common areas smell, and they have construction work beginning at 7am directly outside the rooms with no warning or apology to guests. In addition, the safety is questionable. We were put in a basement room with no air conditioning and no bars or screen on the window. The room itself was reasonably clean but I think "hotel" is a misnomer here.

Great location for the budget traveler (5 minute walk to either St Pancras Station for Eurostar for the Underground stop) and reasonable price for such alocation in London. While not the Marriot or Hilton, for the price it served my purposes well and provided a comfortbale and quite place to sleep after my day's adventures. This is a very pleasant place to stay in London. I stayed here two years ago and shall probably stay here again next time. The location is excellent and the manager is very friendly and helpful. I do wish that they had yoghurt for breakfast since I don't want much of the traditional English breakfast, but that is a minor item. Carluccio's at St Pancras Station is a great place to dine.

Arrived at 1.00am in the morning but Lorenzo my host, had very kindly waited up for me. Room was extremely small but ample for my stay, everything I needed. Breakfast was wonderful - bacon, egg, sausage, baked beans, toast and coffee each morning, saw me through for the day almost. People complain about rude staff in the breakfast room but all I found was rude guests. Travellers from certain countries forgot to bring their manners to Meridiana. Location to Kings Cross/St Pancras railway was a two minute walk. Heaps of eating places and activity at all hours, nothing you couldn't buy in the area. Very safe, location couldn't have been better. Overall, for the price and location, you couldn't beat this B & B. Thank you Lorenzo.

Excellent quality to price ratio, unbeatable location if you're arriving by train for a one-night stay in London, but at this price don't expect to get more than a hole-in-the-wall place to sleep. The shower in the room was OK, but it would have been better if there was a WC in the room too, instead of one downstairs, without any tap to clean your hands.

At the picture on Meridiana's web page, we saw a double room with a bathroom in it. Even we had booked a double room, we only got a very small room (very different from the one on the picture) and we actually had to share a bathroom(!) in the hall with other rooms. To take a shower, we had to go via the reseption and upstairs. This is something Meridiana should inform their guests about before confirming the reservation.

The room was small but comfortable (see photo), quiet and "homey". The free breakfast was very good, the staff were friendly, and the location was excellent - very close to Kings Cross train/subway station. Unfortunately, I misunderstood what it meant to have a room with a shower. I thought that came with a private toilet but I was mistaken -- the toilet was on a lower floor. The shower was nice, though. Also, it was a bit of a struggle to get my big suitcase through the hallways and up the stairs. But, I was very happy with the value overall and would stay there again.

As a younger more budget friendly traveling couple on our first trip to London we were truly impressed. The location was perfect for a main tube and train station. There were tons of easy food and pub options within walking distance and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms, although small, were quite adequate. The room and bathroom en suite were clean and in good condition. The breakfast room is also tiny and there are not always immediate tables available but the food is hot and the coffee is good and it's all included in your room costs. The only complaint I had was that the guests directly above us were quite loud and the walls are a bit thin. All in all a very enjoyable place at a very reasonable price.

Even though it was advertised as shared bathroom it was still a bit of a shock to discover the ‘facilities’ – if you can cope with that & the so called ‘English Breakfast’ & all you’re looking for is a hotel in central London that's handy for getting around then it's adequate (just); not sure how disabled visitors would cope with all the stairs & no lift plus the tiny ‘breakfast room’…get your timing wrong & you have to wait outside the room for a table to become vacant. Having to get cash to settle the bill because their card machine was broken was an interesting end to my visit. Next time I visit London I will not be staying at the Meridiana Hotel, nor would I recommend it, as there are other hotels in the vicinity that are better appointed.

The hotel was comfortable and clean and the breakfast was good. The only problem was the unpoliteness of the owner, who did not told us about an extra charge of the 5% by paying with credit card, and we discovered it the last day when we had to pay. It is true that it was written in a advertisment in the hall of the hotel, but it was a bit hidden and they should have told us before. The other problem we felt so unhappy was that we asked him to book a taxi for us -because we were leaving very early in the morning- but we waited for 30 minutes and the taxi never arrived. We almoust lost our flight, because there were no free taxi on that sunday morning. We felt very unhappy with this inconvenient as he probably never called the taxi for us.

Hotel is only a few underground stops aways from all famous London sides. It is recommanded location if you are planing to stay in London for a few days and you need room for sleeping only. Breakfast is strong. Staff are nice. They do not charge late check in in case you arrive late in the night. Be aweare that rooms in London are very small expecially cheap ones. Our room has TV and was fresh painted. At the same time room was very small with also very small bathroom. I would say reasonable room for London conditions and charged price. Hotel is easy to find as it is very close to King Cross station. At the same time there is no train noice in the room as Hotel is away from trains. I would book this Hotel again

I stayed here because I had a 6:25am train from St Pancras st and it's literally a five minute walk from hotel to station. It's a very basic room at a good price for the location. A one night non refundable booking deposit is charged at time of booking! most other hotels on Venere have a better cancellation policy!

Tidy, clean, fairly compact. Good value for London. Good area very close to Kings Cross Station. Breakfast probably needs to vary each day rather being exactly the same day after day. Very obliging and helpful staff.

Very very bad welcoming (no welcoming at all in fact! you disturb the employees). Impossible to leave your luggage later than 16 pm. Rooms are correct and the surroundings really near from everything you need.

Excellent service. The room was clean (daily cleaning service) and the bathroom was big enough. Perfect english breakfast!!! 100m from the hotel to king's cross underground station (one of the most important stations of the tube serviced by the lines victoria, piccadilly, northern, circle, hammersmith and city, and bakerloo). Good price if you consider our stay was in August and we were in London! I recommend this hotel.... perfeeeect!!!

The connection is excellent, close to the King cross station, less than a minute by walk. You can choose between continental or english breakfast. Our room was with the bathroom inside; all was very clean, but the room and the bathroom were very small, but confortable. The internet conexion was able only in front of the reception, sitting in a sofa, with your own computer. You have to ask for the wire to connect. To dinner there you have a lot of fast food restaurants around the station. For us it was a very good place to stay.

Single rooms are very small, but its London! Clean and comfortable and great value for a place to sleep when spending all day and night out having fun. Very convenient location near Kings Cross Station and the leafy park across the street is a lovely outlook from the rooms. Staff are very helpful.

We are a young married couple who left our kids home for this vacation. We were very pleased with our stay at this hotel. Great price for London, EXCELLENT location to major tube lines, and very welcoming and helpful staff. As mentioned, the rooms are small which could have been a problem with our kids but just fine for a couple. Highly recommend.

The hotel is very convenience, near tube and trains to/from all the London airports, just 5 minutes walk. And the area is quiet and safe. Room is clean and bright, even we stay in the ground floor. Breakfast is great too. The staffs are very very helpful. Overall I'll recommend to my friends and I'll definately stay in the same hotel again.
