Really just exactly what I wanted, a cheap but perfectly decent hotel just 2 minutes walk from King's Cross. Excellent value. Easy to find and access. Room was very small but OK for just me and just what the picture showed. Clean, bright, warm and comfortable. Adjustable heating and even a bit of a view from the (openable) window! TV and tea making facilities and having a sink in the room means sharing bathroom is not a big loss. Enjoyed the breakfast too. Staff very friendly. Lots of cafes, restaurants, bars, shops within walking distance.

The hotel is located very close to King's Cross St Pancreas underground, which is ideally placed to visit the attractions. The room was a good size and the fact that it included a full English Breakfast in the budget price we paid was excellent. I would have liked an en suite but, for the price we paid, it was excellent value for money, as we were out until late each night and only used it as a base.

Stayed overnight in a twin room on the top floor. Receptionist was courteous & helpful. The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable. Though the bathroom facilities were shared there was no problems with using them. The shower was fully functional with adequate room for drying. Free wi-fi worked throughout my stay. Full English breakfast with toast & cereals was excellent. If you require an excellent B&B close to Kings Cross then based on this stay this is highly recommended.

Very tiny room, but for one night OK. The only complain is, that I was charged (creditcard) in Euro, not in Pounds and the exchange rate was 10% higher than normal bank rate. So be carefully to pay your stay in British Pounds Sterling!

It's exactly what you book; a clean room to sleep and very close to king's cross st. Pancrass station. As I said, is very clean, the breakfast is very good and they always ask you if you want something else. It's a B&B, one of the best I've been on the London City (I've been 7 times on differents about this area). The staff are really very helpfully. If somebody want to go to a 5 star hotels, it's not the hotel, neither the price.

The Hotel is close to King Cross, St Pancras station, Approx 2 mins walking distance and there are a few fast food restaurants at the surrounding areas. It is very convenient for travelers accessing the Eurostar train service to and from London. Hotel provides simple English style breakfast. Staff was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay in London. The Cons: - There is no elevators in the Hotel, the Stairways to the rooms are small and narrow. Hotel room is small so limit your size of your luggage bags. - Sound proofing of the room's wall is poor

I left an item in the hotel and they posted it back to my home in Ireland. And they covered the cost. I would absolutely stay in this hotel again. Thank you so much. Dermot

great location, room was clean, nice view onto Argyle Square, new towels every day, friendly service and helpful staff. on the downside, a bit run down, frayed towels, toilet seat fell apart, some electrical outlets didn't work. I chose this hotel only because of the price. It was the only hotel that I could find at the time with resonable price. Since I was backbacking, i didn't want to spend too much. However, even if I consider its low price, the facility was awful! Especially the shower room. Im not the type of person who writes comments and stuff. But this time, I really feel like I have to tell the staffs something. They really need to change the shower curtain. It was the most disgusting thing I've ever seen in my life!!

This hotel is a very good solution if you're going to stay in London for few days and have a suitable amd "warm" place to stay without paying too much. We had a family room en-suite, very comfortable, clean, quiet and with a nice view on a little park. For breakfast is possible to choose between British and continental one and both are very good. The position of the hotel is really practical, very close to King's Cross station. For sure we will suggest this hotel to our friends and to those people who want to stay in a comfortable place

The hotel is small but pretty. Rooms are very small but cleaned and nice. I've slepd in many other othels in London and what I can say is that at the same price I've always found very bad accomodations. This hotel is good for young couples who wamt to vsit london in a few days. What is perfect is the position: very quite but just 5 minutes walking from the train and underground station. Employees nice and helpful!

The hotel is very good located, staff is kind, rooms are cleaned daily... for this price, in London, it's hard to get any better. The only problem was that the shower alternated between very hot and very cold at random. Breakfast was simple, but okay. However, as the breakfast room is too small we preferred to have breakfast somewhere else than wait for the tables to be free.

We used it for an early morning Eurostar departure and were asked slightly brusquely to pay that evening as our card had not been debited, we later found out that this is due to the reception being closed in the morning. The carpets in the communal areas are grim. The skirting boards are damaged with most of the paint scratched. Looking up at the walls and ceilings gives an equally depressing feeling. I understand that some of the rooms have been decorated recently, but the family room that we used had not and was again depressing. The mattress springs could be felt through the bed clothes and resulted in an uncomfortable sleeping experience. Granted, the staff were very friendly and the breakfast was adequate, but the bulding needs a complete renovation

We were three friends who stayed at the hotel for four nights, had booked a room for three and although it wasn't spacious, it was clean and that counts for more. The reseptionist was a nice man, who helped us when we needed it (find a place to eat, book a cab, get extra blankets). The dining room/breakfast room was too small, only 4-5 tables, and we didn't eat breakfast there at all. We asked the woman in the kitchan if we could carry the breakfast upstairs to our room and bring down the empty plates afterwards, and she started yelling at us! Not the best of service there. All in all though, I would say it was good value, the hotel was a couple of minutes walk from King's Cross/St Pancras Station, and that was good.

Nice and helpful staff, quiet and near-central location near a variety of public transport options - two railway stations, multiple underground and bus lines. Our room was quiet and clean, and the beds were comfortable. The cleaning and kitchen staff were very competent and friendly - our beds were imppecably made every day, and the English breakfast was a substantial meal, although made with budget ingredients. A few minus points on the property, though; all the furniture and equipment - from toilets to TV - felt very old. The stairwell looked like it was about to collapse; the carpet was worn out. Everything works, but only just.

It was exactly what we needed. Clean, nice, quiet, near the city and a very good price! I will return and also recommend you to my friends. This was my first visit in London, but not my last!

Our room (n°3) on ground floor was really excellent because it had been completely renovated and refurbished recently. It seemed that there were rooms in a poorer condition but we did never enter any. The staff was very friendly and cooperative. On the whole, we enjoyed our stay very much since the location is really central to explore London.

This was my 5th time in London and since my stay was going to be just of 3 days I was looking for a hotel just to sleep at night. I was in a double room and I found this small and confortable hotel with a very good location because it's just a couple minutes walk from King's cross underground station and this is probably its best quality. The room was very small but quite clean even if a bit noisy at night. The bathroom was very small as well but since only some rooms are en suite, it was good anyway. No public areas, just a reception and a small breakfast room, but the personal is very kind and welcoming. Breakfast is included. This hotel is a very good choice if you need somewhere to sleep in London for just few days because it's quite cheap and clean and very close to the underground station.

Tiny rooms. Weak breakfast. Nice view over the square, if on the right side! Limited friendliness.

Considering this hotel is in London, it has a good quality vs. price ratio. The room was clean, and not too small. The location is very good, with 6 undergound lines in the immediate surrounding. Just one flaw: the room was quite noisy, not due to the surrounding (very quiet), but due to noise coming from other rooms (mainly the vent in the bathroom of room next door, which was very disturbing at night and early morining).

Very close to King's Cross Station, many bus to the centre (Trafalgar...). Small room but daily cleaned. They'll apply 5% if you pay by credit card, but it isn't expensive. Good accomodation.

The hotel is ok, location perfect close to underground, quite central. The surrounding is pretty calm however the walls between the rooms are so slim that you can hear your neighbours breathe (or doing anything else!) We couldn't sleep for entire nights! The bathroom piping is very noisy too (like a plane taking off when you flush the water!) Don't go there!

For me this is not a Hotel. It's an Hostal. The rooms very small (as usual in London). It's very noisy, you can ear all that happens in other rooms, and there are some pipes that make a terrible noise. The Breakfast it's great ant the location also....

We had a very nice Stay at the McDonalds. Friendly Staff, good Breakfast. We will come back. The only not so good Thing is the surrounding Area. Kings Cross/St Pancras is not a very nice Area to be. Luckily the Tube station is quiet close, so you can go nicer Parts of London.

Cheap and cheerful hotel, very good value for money in central London but it is basic, curtains could have done with linings as the street light shone in and there was a cold draught from the window, also the sheets and one blanket was only just big enough for the double bed, we should have asked for more blankets as we got cold.Good for underground and railway stations.

Bedroom comfortable and adequate, breakfast was just cooked breakfast and toast (no choice of cereals or anything). Bathroom facilities were inadequate and shabby - on first floor there were only 2 showers, one was out of service so it was very difficult to get a shower in the morning! Cheap and cheerful - don't expect quality at this price.

we had a very enjoyable stay in London at the MacDonald. The room was small but clean with en suite bathroom, and we only needed a warm shower and a bed to sleep, so it was ok. The breakfast is good. The position is really perfect, only few meters from King's Cross station. We could also leave our packages at the hotel the last day. So if we'll come back to London we will stay agin at the Mac Donald.

I wouldn't recommend this hotel to any of my friends. Nor would I stay there again. The place need major renovations. The people don't speak good english though they are trying to be nice. The only good thing with this hotel is location, which is very close to King's Cross station.

Overall this is a good place for a short trip to London! The room is to small for a longer stay, but this does not matter for a few days journey. Service is ok and everything give the impression of a clean and nice place. Technically we found some annoying issues, like the bed (press board and an old useless spring mattress), shower (shower head defect and fossil) and water pipes (heavy beating each morning ...). In particular the last two should be no problem to be corrected (we live to see the owners themselves working on their house) and this would make a much better impression. The price is ok (for London), or a bit to high, thinking of the named problems. Not to forget: The location is perfect - just a two minutes walk to King's Cross / St. Pancras!

The Hotel was kind of pricy for the quality of service provided. There was no phone in the hotel room, and while the hotel was very close to King's Cross/St. Pancras train station for catching the tube, the hotel was not as near to Covent Garden as the advertisements suggested. Overall, the stay was mediocre.

Booked a triple room in this hotel and there was no notice that it would be a bunk bed. Not very comfortable if you have to climb up your bed after a day out in the city. Full English breakfast was provided (very good actually), staff was friendly and helpfull. Good location, King's Cross Station is just steps away. I would probably stay there again, but not with a party of three.
