This hotel does not correspond to a 2 ** hotel. The close-system's window of our room was broken and we cannot close it. One of the common bathroom was cold like Alaska! Service was not smily except the persons at the reception!

If you are a budget traveller, this is the right place to stay in London. You will be hard to find any B&B is cheaper than this one. But the quality of hotel is very bad. If you are a not heavy sleeper, don't even think about it. Because you will not able to sleep. The room is off the main street. London bus service is supper frequently. When you lay in the bed, you will feel the bus drive pass beside you.

The location is super convenient. It only takes 5 minutes walk to The British Museum and the nearby street is Tottenham court road. The room is small but considering to the price and location,I'd probably stay here in the future when I go to London again.

Stayed for 2 nights in a single room (travelling alone). The hotel is very centric and it's quite easy to find. The staff was kind and they offered me if i wanted to order food, something i apreciated as i travelled the whole day and i was very hungry. The room was very small placed in something similar as a cellar. It was a bit noisy as i could hear people from the bedroom near mine but during the night it was a bit more quite. Breakfast was excellent. The bathroom is located outside, but it wasn't a problem because it was very near from my bedroom. The main problem was a window without curtains so the room wasn't dark enought to sleep well. Everything was clean and the price is affordable for young travellers.

It was the first time that I stayed. It was suprisingly close to all major London attractions and cheaper than others in the area. Any noise was not down to the room as that was great but the fire door outside and other guests not reading, understanding the notice or caring about other guests. The room was warm and the bed comfortable but the window catch was broken which meant the window did not shut properly. The 1st floor shower room was a tad grotty with mildew and The shower of comfortable size needs attention due to rusty fittings. The Reception was extremely friendly and helpful but for breakfast those in the dining room except for the cook -seemed almost as if it was a chore when they had to stop reading their newspapers to serve. However, that said I would like to stay there in future excursions to London but I think that they have the price right unless they perform some much needed maintenance. The property suited my needs for the length of my stay at a reasonable price.

The hotel is in the heart of London, very near to British Museum. The Northern (Black) Underground station Goodge Street is 2 minutes walking far and it takes almost everywhere in a few minutes. There is also a bus station in front of the Hotel. The employees were very nice and there is no time restriction on when you can get back, you will always find someone to open the door. We had to carry our luggage upstairs on our own (no lift). The room (double) was small but enough for a young couple. There was a TV and a coffe/tea set that was replenished every day. The towels and sheets were changed almost every day and the common bathroom was kept clean. The walls are really thin, so you may be disturbed by people coming back late. The english breakfast was satisfying and good enough (egg, sausage, beans, tomato, bacon, toasts) and you can always get some milk and cereal if you want.

BEWARE!!!!!!!! IT'S A FRAUD.. The worst place I've ever been, better sleep in the tube. We've been asked to pay and then ranged in a kind of smelly and wet cave in the underground without windows and with a door leading to a mini dirty court. We asked our money back to look for something else, but they didn't give us. We went to the hotel beside losing our money. Receptionists and owner all time saying sorry, we can't do anything. Be sure we weren't the only unhappy guests. We wanted to call the police but we preferred just to go away not to see them and that awful jail any more.

Worst hotel I have ever been.(El peor hotel en el que he estado). When we arrived, we were told that our room was upgraded, so we had a private bathroom. Unluckily for us, It ends up that we slept in the basement, in a kind of Shreek's lear, some homehow an old warehouse with a bed, cold, small, filthy and with really low ceilling. Furthermore that the bathroom was disgusting piece by piece, the security measures were completly disabled : the fire alarm was cover with a plastic bag, and the fire doors were open, when they have a sign were said that they were suposed to remain open. The breakfast was good,if you didnt look to the kitchen or the tables, cuz they were all but pretty. I must say that the location of this hotel its great, but thats the only thing, and on top of all, the price was unceptable, a 100 euros for this filthy room????it was kind of a con. Its a pity that they take advantage of the tourist like that.

Stayed at the Langland Hotel for 2 nights in October. I've never stayed in such a small room before. It was a triple room but would have been barely adequate as a single room. A double bed and a single bed squashed up against one wall and about 1.5 feet of floor space between beds, wardrobe, dressing talble and sink. The room was very hot so window had to be open all the time which was a problem as the room was on a very busy street so it was very noisy even during the night. The room was clean except for the net curtains which were filthy and the other curtains where torn and did not close properly. Asked for another room but was told none available. The first morning the breakfast was reasonable but the second morning it was a complete shambles. No table available so had to wait a long time, when we finally got sat down there were no cups, glasses, knives and forks, fruit juice, coffee or tea again had to wait ages to get them, when breakfast arrived it wasn't very good. This hotel was cheap, now I know why. The only good thing about it was its location, very close to British Museum and West End. I would recommend paying a bit more as although this hotel is cheap it is certainly not cheerful. I wouldn't stay here again.

I had a room facing Gower Street and it was extremely noisy (and I'm a deep sleeper). The problem is compounded because you pretty much have to keep the window open because the rooms are relatively hot. It was bad enough that I slept through my alarm the first day, and on the second day I stayed up all night because I was afraid I would miss my flight early next morning. The wake up call I requested never happened. Other than that the Langland was nice though – just request a room away from the main street. The location is great, a couple minutes from Goode St Tube station, and there is a variety of food places nearby.

Overall a good experience. Location was great for a week in London during Spring very handy to public transport (buses & underground) not far from supermarket. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfasts good, though dining room struggled to cope with number of guests at times. We had family room without ensuite that was a bit of a squeeze with two teenagers but fine if you are not expecting to spend a lot of time in the room. Ask for room at back of hotel - away from road noise. We stayed one night at front then moved to the back which was much much quieter. We noted that beds were either double or queen so if important clarify what you are getting. We would stay there again if a back room was available. In the hot weather you would need to have a window open which would be fine at the back. There was a fan in the room which helped.

The bathrooms and showers were shared in this property which we didn't realize until we arrived. There was a bathroom on our floor but the nearest shower was two flights upstairs and that was very inconvenient. The staff was certainly helpful and we were pleasantly surprised to find out that a full breakfast was included with our rate, not just continental breakfast. Also, the location was pretty good with tube connections nearby. It was within walking distance to many restaurants and interesting neighborhoods as well.

Beds and bathoom were not exactly clean but it could go. The room was definately too small. IN THE END: OK for a few days.

We did not expect much from a budget hotel, but we did not think that one had to sit on the bed if the other one wanted to turn around. Tattered curtains also did not improve our impression of the room. After the first night the room stayed untouched by the cleaning person - NO service. Breakfast in the basement was soso. Overall: We do NOT recommend the hotel. Price/Quality relation is pretty bad.

The hotel was situated on a moderately busy street, and since my room was at the front, traffic noise was audible but not particularly intrusive. And things quietened down at night. Given the cost of the room in relation to London hotel prices, I thought Langland was excellent value for money. The freshly cooked breakfast, served by cheerful young waitresses, was excellent. I stayed in many hotels in London. Good about this one is location and breakfast. But its not that cheap to get such a low quality accomodation. The room I got has nothing to do with the photographs. Its really old, needs painting and new everything. Noisy street. There was no kettle and towels - i had to go and ask for it at the reception. Shared bathroom - 1 per floor - dont expect it to be clean. Be aware of incompetence / bad will of staff. I stayed there 3 nights. On the 3rd evening I came and realised that they moved me to different room without notice. The new room was a sh*hole in the basement, smelled with toxic paint, no towell, no kettle, no single electric socket (but there was TV - funny joke). When they relocated me they lost my belongings (bag, clothes, money) !! They had no idea where it is. How can one be such a a**hole ? They found it after, in the morning, in the room i stayed before, where now someone new stayed. He could steal all my stuff. They thrown in the litter bin my toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo. F**! If you plan to stay in Langland dont pay in advance and dont leave any of your belongings there if you go out. I will never stay here again and I will never recommend this place to anyone.

definitely a bargain, but a welcoming attitude would have gone a long way and the staff had no clue about that. in a service industry, isn't it your job to be polite? otherwise, rooms are ok (never stay on the ground floor - too noisy), fairly clean (walked into a clean room but in my two night stay all they did was make the bed and give me a fresh towel). I've been there for four nights and I had a great time! The relationship between price/quality is quite good, especially if you consider the hotel's location-it's next to the British museum and the Tottenham Underground,so you are very closed to the centre town. I was very disappointed with this hotel - it was the worst of our entire European vacation. The staff were slow, bumbling and did not speak English well. Additionally the rooms were tiny and very poorly furnished with uncomfortable beds and insufficient linens. I will say that the breakfast was good and served quickly. Also the location is close to the subway and only a 10 - 15 minute walk to the Soho pub district and Oxford Circus area. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and I have no idea how it can possibly be rated as 3 stars!

My room was very small, but clean. There were one bathroom for six rooms, but was confortable and clean. Breakfast very good.

Nice little hotel, with very comprehensive and nice employees. I would recommend it to friends :) .

A three star hotel should have toilets and shower inside the room ! I didn't even think to ask about that before booking !

Larger room than most. Clean rooms with some charm. 5 to 10 minute walk to the tube station or the British Museum. Bus stop across the street.

The service was very friendly, efficient and generous. My only complaint was the quality of the room furniture and linen, the bed was a little flimsy and the linen insubstantial for a cold night. My impression overall was a very good one.

I think the price is too expansive in london for the hotel , one room whitout bathroom in the room , relationship between price/quality is not justified.
