When I arrived at the hotel no one greeted me, I just stood and looked at a guy who counted for the money for 2 or 3 minutes. After three minutes, he said, to give him a minute and then counted for the money again. This is not acceptable for me especially when it is a guy who is a management position ( Mr Ali S. ).This was my third weekend in London and a third hotel and would not recommend it to anyone. I ordered a double room, because I was not alone, and the room was very small and not overlooked. The week before I stayed in Mercure hotel on Southampton row and the staff was very kind and helpful and the room was much better.

I really didn't liked the way receptionist behaived ,they don't even offer you informations about the surroundings...we asked for a plug adaptor 5 or six times, they continued to tell us to ask for it anouther time....untill we gave up...I worked years ago as a receptionist in a two star hotel and the services we were offering at much lower prices were better. Also I didn't liked the fact that if you need to leave your luggage at the hotel because you have a late plane they will keep it for you just untill 5 o'clock...

I have been in London from 11 to 17 of July 2010, for vacations. Nice place to stay, close to an undergroung station, but also very nice to walk around; room was too small, but not aired as it was impossible to open the window ...

The two problems I encountered while staying there were the railway passing by my windows and the shower not working at its 100%, although fully operative. BTW, a very good place to stay. Rooms cannot be labelled as "big & spacious", but really confortable.

This hotel is really great. It is small but absolutely comfortable. I had a couple of problems in my first night stay and the concierge was really helpful and met my needs immediately. Location is excellent, just a bunch of tube stops from everywhere. The area is safe at every time of the day and night. Sometimes guests may find their rooms on ground or lower ground level, so in case you have problems with such solutions you should indicate it in the booking form.

We thought we would get breakfast in the total price, but no, if we wanted to eat breakfast in the hotel, it would cost us 30pounds pr. day. The room way nice, but we slept in the exclusive rooms, but under the groundfloor. The rooms were so small, that we couldnt open the bathroom door properly. They did clean up everyday, but no washing I think, and they didnt clean the bed once. we stayed for 5 days. Good location, but its to expencive for what you get, we will choose another hotel next time.

Staying at this Hotel does not give you good value for your money. One thing is all the errors the employers make, like charging you for the wrong room, or giving other people the same room you are staying. Twice some stranger used his keycard to open my room. Not very safe. But my main complain is about tv and internet, features they are promoting on their website. There is no satelitte tv, yes the flatscreen tv is nice but there are not much to see when all you get is 3 analog channels (2 BBCs and ITV) with poor picture quality. The "Highspeed" Internet connection is a joke. I had to use a slow network connection, i guess it was adsl but the speed was more like ISDN. There is no wi-fi, they said it was because of renovation. Hello ??? It's wireless!! The network connection was working, fixing the wireless connection should not be a big problem. So why stay here ? The rooms are small, some with heavy noise from the tube. Staff not very organized or friendly. I guess the flatscrenn tv and high speed internet connection probably are the main reasons why people choose this hotel. Until they fix these problems i see no reason to stay here again.

I think it's really for budget travellers - the decor is fab and location is ok but it is very very small (rooms ridiculous) and there are no facilities. Price was cheap yes but you would still expect to get a nights sleep which is very difficult with the underground running directly under the hotel - this should be disclosed along with the size of the rooms so customers know what to expect.

Personally we had luck since our room faced the main street (Hogarth Road) but the rooms in backyards were very loudy since there is train station nearby and I was wondering how could they sleep with such a mess. Always ask for a front room. The insonorisation of the rooms are very bad...

Staff were very freindly and helpful. I would first look elsewhere before returning. I can only talk about our room. It was very small, more suited to a single bed rather than a double. Air in the room did not smell fresh despite us opening the window and using the airconditioner. The odour was particularly noticeable when returning after a day out. The hotel is close to a rail line and the noise from passing trains interrupted our sleep. Bathroom was very tiny/congested - any overweight/'big' person would have difficulty using the toilet as their knees/thighs would be hard against each other in the very confined space. (The wash basin stand intruded too far into toilet space.) The entrance/alcove to our room contained the only wardrobe. However, no light was provided in the entrance and consequently using the wardrobe was difficult. When approached, some staff became confused because they could see a light fitted. It turned out to be an emergency light only working in a power failure. The telephone did not work but staff did assist by offering another room.

The room was quite small, the bathroom door couldn't open fully because the bed was too close. Also, the window was a bit loose and banged away incessantly until I stuck a toothbrush between it and the window sill. I will say the room was much cleaner and was furnished nicer than expected. Could be a little less expensive... I'd stay again though.

There was no mention on web page regarding close proximity of Underground to hotel, ie our room was about 30 feet away from the tracks. We were moved to a room at the front of the hotel, but you could still hear the trains go by. The rooms were very nicely decorated and furnished, though they were a bit cramped & I thought the layout of the room could have been better. Your web site said breakfast was included in price, but we discovered when we checked in, it wasnt.

My room at Hogarth can not be considered a room, as it was the size of a broom closet !! Shocking ! No space to move or breathe. No air-con, the entire hotel feels like a sauna ! Not a pleasant experience at all ! Besides the great location, close to the tube, no other recommendations worth mentioning about this disaster.

Unfortunatly our room was at the back of the hotel, which meant we had to put up with the noise from the london underground trains. Also the maintenance team started drilling after midnight for a few hours, we did not get very much sleep.

The hotel is equipped with an elevator, and breakfast was provided. The bathroom in the room was uncomfortable. It was a prefabricated self-contained unit that reminded me of a aircraft toilet. The reception was manned 24-hours per day, which was useful (no worry about losing the key!), and breakfast was provided. Unfortunately, breakfast was scant (a few slices of toast & cereal), with no hot food, fruits, pastries, etc, included. The demeanor of the reception staff was disappointing - they were remarkably disinterested and unfriendly when checking in & whenever we collected our key. Finally, we also had a £25.00 jar of Ella Bache moisturiser stolen from the room while we stepped out for an hour on the day we arrived (after finding that the room we had been given hadn't been cleaned from the previous guests).

The hotel's room is clean and not bad, the space of the room is enought and the price, for a room in london, is very low. the hotel is really close to the tube station of earls court, so it's easy to go everywhere. the only thing that was really bad is that my room was upper the train line, so till midnight it was really noisy. fortunatly the trains stops at midnight

The hotel is in a pretty scruffy part of town. It is also adjacent to an open air section of the Underground and with trains running constantly from 5AM to Midnight, it was very difficult to sleep. The trains thundered and hammered right outside the windows, shaking the rooms. The ensuite bathrooms were much like those in a motor home...3x4 closets inserted into the rooms. Most of the lights in the rooms did not work. There were no flowers on the desk as illustrated in the web page photo. The beds were jammed into the rooms with little floor space. Breakfast was very basic, consisting of cornflakes, rice krispies, toast with jam, coffee or tea and a orange juice. Two of the three desk clerks were reasonably helpful, but the third was very unhelpful. Some of the breakfast staff was courteous, but some were more concerned with getting their own breakfast: they hardly checked the dining room for new comers. The rooms are not modern, nor are they tastefully decorated.

The rooms in the back of the building are very very noisy. They are just in front of the underground and the windows doesn't fit well, so you sleep "into the underground station". In despite of the noise, it is a clean, confortable and cheap acomodation in relations to the standards of central London. The ensuited rooms are provided with a small bath cabin, recently remodelled, very clean and functional althought they are very small sized.

I've stayed in two stars hotels many times before and this one really SUCKS!! Rooms smelled funny and bathroom (tiny) were filthy. You can hear the train (loud) all night. Breakfast consisted of bad coffee and toast, the Corn Flakes are served in dirty containers and the service was not pleasant. I recommend that this property be removed from your listing.
