PROS: Few steps to St Pancras / King's Cross Station, so it's very easy to travel around London downtown. Very clean rooms. CONS: Ridicolous spaciousness of rooms and toilet facilities. Got a single room with bathroom for 70 pound: the sink was close to the bed, while the water and shower were separated in less than 1 meter square. Staff was not helpful: asked for a silent room, I was given a noisy room facing the road. Breakfast busy and basic. No lift and narrow stairs. I would just reconmend this hotel for one or two nights, to single travelers who can adapt to spartan conditions.

I stayed in room that had shared bath. The room was excellent, but the bathroom did not have good ventilation and smelled very musty. The breakfast was good and the staff was excellent. I think excellent value, but next time I think I'd spring for the en-suite.

The initial greeting was a bit curt. We arrived early and were told to come back later. The room was very austere, but clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good - a nice switch from the Full English Breakfast everyone else pushes. Meats and cheeses as well as cereals, toast, juices, etc. Overall, a good experience (and a fair price considering what everyone else is charging in London).

Hotel is within walking distance of the kings cross station. easy to find and has great access for all other public transport. Room was a little small and the pillows were very hard. Also the breakfast room was more like a circus with people having to wait a long time for tables to be cleared, staff were also slow at providing toast and drinks to the table. we waited nearly 30minutes!

Crestfield Hotel was our first stop on our trip. The hotel was as we had expected from reading the advertisement and reviews. Our room was small - but it is difficult to not get a small room in a place like London unless you want to pay alot more money. The customer service wasn't great, but you will find that all over London, in the shops and train stations etc. The double bed was small but we slept well. The toilet, wash basin and shower were all separate within our room which was better than being all crammed into one bathroom. While the room was small, we did have enough room to put our bags and hang clothes. The breakfast is not as advertised - the only hot food is the toast. However, if you need something to eat quickly before heading off for a more substantial meal, then there is cereal, toast, fruit, juice and tea and coffee. The food may not have been 5 star - but i wasn't expecting that anyway - especially when it is free. The tube station is literally a 2 minute walk away, as is the St Pancras international station which was good for us as we were catching the Eurostar to Paris from there. For the money paid it was a decent hotel and we have no major complaints.

Clean hotel with good access to the tube (2 mins. walk), quiet neighborhood but still close to the main roads. Thank god I stayed in a double room although being a single traveller. Small bed (1.20 m or so) and even smaller room. Fine for a single room but impossible for a double (and it really was a double). No space for stowing anything. Steep stairs, no elevator. Disturbingly thin walls. Awful breakfast, spare it if you can. Starbucks or other cafes are only a block away. No hot food for breaktfast (tomato, beans etc) as indicated on website. Just industrial marmelade and toast. No internet connection/WiFi in the hotel. WiFi is only available at the tiny reception room (there at least for free). The hotel is fine for one or two nights if you just want to have a bed in London.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Nasty not accommodating owners. asked for an extra towel, they would not give one, there was not a place to put clothes, no drawers, a really bare room below ground level on a main street. I reserved twin beds they gave me a room with a double bed and would not change the room.

The bathroom is a little bit too small and there is nothing to hang up clothes. We stayed 3 days and the Crestfield is very well situated near St-Pancras International and King Cross station. We'll recommand it without any problem. Thank you to the employees, especially at breakfast time.

Just one word: Great. The staff is very helpful and very qualified, they were always in the mood por trouble-solving. Everything was way above our expectations with this hotel. Our room was nowhere as small as some users have stated, so maybe there is a big difference between them. The staff was really nice and helpful. The only inconsistency with venere's info was that they just provide continental breakfast (decent and far enough in size by he way).

This is an excellent hotel for the price. We ordered and paid for shared facilities, but when we got there they upgraded us to ensuite with no extra charge. We had some problems with the toilet flush, but the staff fixed it at once we reported it. The rooms were not large, but absolutely sufficient for a few nights stay. There was a large window facing å quiet street, and we had no problems with noise, neither from outside or from other guests. The little qourtyard is very charming, a nice place for guests to relax in spring and summer I suppose.

Persons working at the hotell should be sent to some sort of charming school. They need to learn about how to be caretaking and nice to their guests. A smile once in a while is a cheap investment, dont cost anything. Although, overall,a good stay at a good price.Would go there again.

We have been given a room on the top floor, the room was really small and not really for two people. Once arrived, we have been "welcomed" if so I can say form a girl that seemed to be from east europe, that was really unfriendly. the day before to go, I've called and asked for wi fi availabilities. They gave confirmation but once there, there was no wi fi into the entire hotel, and no one could help on that. The position is ok, but I would not return into this hotel.

This hotel is situated in what was once a formerly downmarket area of London, which has since been cleaned-up and made very safe by the arrival of the channel-tunnel rail link at the newly-refurbished St Pancreas station. The hotel is ideally situated just across the road from the main underground rail hub of kings-cross which can get you anywhere in central london within fifteen minutes. The hotel itself seemed very clean and well-organised for the price range. The rooms were adequately spacious and the shower-room was positively luxurious compared to some of the london hotels we've stayed in. This hotel is ideal for someone on a reasonable budget looking for a clean, simple - but very central base for exploring London. My only gripe was the rather half-hearted breakfast arrangements of toast and coffee. But with more than enough McDonalds and cafes nearby, this shouldn't be a problem. The hotel is even gaurded by a freindly terrier called Jack who relaxes at the front door. All in all a pretty safe bet for the average london traveller.

The hotel is situated insemi-central zone og London but it's easily reachable by underground or coach. The rooms aren't big but however confortable and it are cleaned everyday with attached exchange the bedding. The breakfast is continental. This hotel is advised people who haven't many much demand.

The room was nice and quite clean, and the toilet seemed like it had been recently renovated. Although, there was no heating in our room, and since we stayed in the ground floor (or cellar), the room was moist and too cold. Perhaps other rooms in the upper floors would have been better.

Small and ok hotel with perfect location opposite King Cross/St. Pancras station, which mean you can take the subway directly from Heatrow (less expensive than other means of transportation). Fair size rooms, but small and worn bathrooms. Continental breakfast inkluded in price, contain toast, cereals, coffee and juice. Well kept backyard with seating and tables, bar serves 24h. We stayed at Crestfield on two separate occasions in June. The hotel was clean, quiet and very welcoming; we were completely charmed by the owner's old, friendly dog welcoming us at the door! Staff was very nice and friendly throughout our stay. There was a distinct downside, however; the advertised breakfast was VERY poor quality. In addition, on our first stay, we got a small and cramped room on the 3rd floor, with an old, noisy (but comfortable) iron bed. On our second stay we were pleasantly surprised to get a ground floor room, which was a LOT bigger and FAR more comfortable! A pleasure to stay in! This hotel is good for a quick, easy stop-over stay, but not for long-term visits. Recommendations: Request a ground-floor room in advance, and skip breakfast. There are many places nearby to buy food; take some back to the hotel and have a picnic in the back yard! :-)

Decent hotel at resonable price for London. Great location, easy access to almost everywhere by tube or bus. St Pancras international station is within 2 minutes walk, so the train is also v accessible. Excellent places to eat close by, for any taste, from McDonalds to typical London pubs, at reasonable price. The room is small, like any inexpenssive hotel in Europe's capitals. No regrets.

The room was little, but clean and enough for having a good stay. Breakfast was without luxury but right. Location is good. Hotel is beside Undergroud's King's Cross station and Saint Pancras railway station, that is the arrival for trains from Luton airport. King's Cross is also an important point of bus lines. British Museum is about 20 minutes by foot. And there are several pubs and restaurants not far away. Good relation between price and quality. Suitable for a week-end in London.

We stayed for a whole week in a 4 bed room together with our 2 boys. We enjoyed our stay and we fully recommend the hotel since the location is perfect as St Pancras is a few steps away and there is plenty of buses and taxis also. Places to have meals everywhere, supermarkets, and the surrounding area is so safe that my boys had no conflicts in going in/out by their own during the day and even in the early night. The whole installations are very nice, with a pleasant decoration and the room was in perfect conditions. The sheets snow-white as well as towels. The breakfast was very well served. We really spent a happy week in this hotel and we fully recommend same. If we ever return to this magnificent city, there´s no doubt we will stay at Crestfield Hotel.

The Crestfield Hotel is located next to Kings Cross station, so its easy to take the underground to any location in central London. The rooms are very small but clean and fully equipped with TV, coffee, tea and with bathroom. For a romms ensuite the price for London is really reasonable. Breakfast was also included but was a bit poor, toast and jam and some cornflakes. In general if you need a room to make trip to London for some days its a good choice.

This was a great hotel in a great location for the money. Very convenient to tube. The bed was comfortable. The room was quiet. Apparently the norm in london though is that you have to pump the toilet to flush. You have to pump a lot though here. Skip the breakfast. The offerings were limited and the dishes were dirty. With this price you can afford to grab a bite elsewhere.

The hotel is near to King's Cross station, so that you can easily go in the London center with the Tube.It is located in a calm street, if you're hungry Mc donalds is in the same street and you can sleep deeply without worrying about anything, a nice dog is guarding the hotel !

The management was great, and very responsive. The breakfast staff, however, was abrupt and not responsive. I thought breakfast was served until 10:00; I got there at 9:00. When I tried to eat I was informed, rather bluntly and with force, that breakfast was over at 9, and I should have been there at 8:45 if I wanted to get served. I ate elsewhere. Otherwise, the location is perfect for using the Tube, and there are lots of places to eat close by. Room was very comfortable and clean.

THERE IS NO LIFT!!! All rooms are upstairs and the stairway is VERY narrow. Once the luggage is to your floor you will find there is not enough room for your luggage to sit on the floor, choose between: luggage open, laying on the bed, standing - you can have any two but not all three! Aside from this the location is awesome, quick walk to the end of the block to the underground, or McDonalds. At night the street looks unsafe but no problems. Perfect room if all you do is sleep and then go. Also the bathrooms are the smallest I have ever seen. I'm in the Navy and been on submarines so I know what crampt quarters are:) TV has 7 channels, but only one came in clear.

The Hotel Crestfield is directly across the road from King's Cross, so it's a perfect base for a sight-seeing trip. While it is fairly basic accommodation it is comfortable and has a very pleasant atmosphere. There is a nice little courtyard with picnic tables and I liked the fact they have a dog. (If you don't like dogs don't worry - he doesn't make any noise or bother guests.) The room was small but it was well laid-out so it didn't feel cramped. One side of the bed was a bit uncomfortable, so if there are two of you and you really need a decent bed I'd check with them when booking. The shower was decent and there was hot water whenever I showered, morning or evening. The loo was separate which I liked and it was very clean. The room had tea-bags, coffee, a kettle & uht milk. The tea & coffee in the room was grand, the tea & coffee served at breakfast was pretty horrible. Breakfast was cereals, tinned fruit cocktail, orange or apple juice, and white sliced toast. I'm a bit picky about food and if you are I'd recommend skipping breakfast and going to a café - there are a good few close by. All in all I'd definitely recommend this hotel. I think it's good value for money, I had a very pleasant stay, and I would stay there next time I go to London.

Our stay in the Crestfield was not pleasant to say the least. Whilst the common areas of the hotel had been modernised the same could not be said for our uninviting third floor room with its warnout and minimal furnishing which didn't even include bedside lamps for reading in bed. Our stay was during a hot spell and the hotel offered no method of cooling what so ever, one of the 2 windows was jambed shut and no fridge in the room. This hotel doesn't have a lift so we had to climb up and down 6 flights of narrow, stuffy stairs. Quality of the breakfast available was very average to say the least and didn't include "the delicious buffet breakfast consisting of eggs, bacon, sausage, tomatoes" as stated on venere.com. The only thing that the hotel had going for it is that it is close to St Pancras/Kings Cross Station.

- Unpolite and rude owner, poor breakfest, no lamps above the bed. + Quiet room, very central, OK for two nights.

This is a very nice little hotel. I stayed in room 35 which was a single with an en suite bathroom. The bed was comfortable, the room was small but bright, the window faced out to the street so it was a bit noisy, but I tend to sleep like a log anyway. The breakfast was fine with cold cereal, fruit, juice, toast with jam and butter, coffee or tea. Just enough to get you on your way. Overall a nice stay with very good value. The location was great, just steps from Kings Cross station.

Hotel estupendo para hospedarse en londres. Tienes el metro en la misma esquina. Fantastica situación en zona 1. A pocos minutos de cualquier lugar turistico. El desayuno escaso. Poca variedad. Todo no se puede tener. Jejejeje. Me alegro de haber estado alli. Buena calidad/precio.

The hotel throughout was very clean and all of the staff were very friendly. Please beware; the Venere.com website states "full english buffet breakfast", but the hotel only serves "continental breakfast".

On venere.com it says about Crestfield Hotel: "Enjoy a delicious buffet breakfast consisting of eggs, bacon, sausage, tomatoes, toast, cereal, tea, coffee, orange juice and apple juice, served in the breakfast room from 7.30 a.m. to 9 a.m." That is bullshit, a total lie! This is what made me choose this hotel, but when I came there they had not even "heard of" egg, bacon, sausage and english breakfast. What a disappointment. I am disappointed about the hotel, and about venere.com. I have to add that the hotel was extremely clean and tidy.

Simple, clean hotel; competent staff. Good place if you need to be in King's Cross area. Nothing special though.

+ Very good location, near tube, a lot of pub and fast food around. Ten minutes walking to British Museum. - Small room, but for a short time it's ok. We stay in London 3 days.

The rooms were very small, but I think for english circumstances and for the low price ok. Breakfast was good. I would go there again, but not longer for max. 2 nights...because the room was noisy and very little.

PLeasant clean hotel delivered the basic comforts. Hot water and clean towels daily, and the room was nice and warm. Basic breakfast but all you need really. The double room we had was big enough but lacked basics like bed side lighting, towel rails. Quite noisy but what do you expect in London! Still managed to get good nights sleep.

Quite good for a short stay if you are alone, because rooms are very small ! east to access: 2 minutes from King Cross underground and train station.

The room (52) was very very small but quiet clean. The King's Cross Station is really close to the hotel so it is very easy travelling by tube. About the price I can say that a same level italian hotel costs 50% less... but the Crestfield is in London....

I stayed in London while on a business trip. Booked a single ensuite room, got a double room ensuite, overall a small room, but ok for me. Hotel is in perfect location just 50m from tube and railway Kings Cross, very calm road, low traffic, several fast food restaurants around the corner, save area, rooms ok for price, breakfast not really good, but sufficient. Would definitly stay at this hotel when again in London!

Hotel perfect for tourism, either in front of the Kings Cross station and 15 minutes walk from the British museum. Rooms fair and proper breakfast. The value for money for a hotel in London is perfect
