All that you need and nothing that you desire. No problems and no luxuries - Staff included. I would definitely stay there again. The area is a huge dormitory for tourists, with identical hotels in identical buildings all along the long, nice street. Thus many restaurants and kiosks open till very late at night (Warwick and Wilton streets). A couple minutes' walk from Pimlico tube station, and a pleasant walking distance from main (Victoria) station. Bus 24 runs 24/7 and takes you to many of the tourist sites, even lands you right in front of Westminster Abbey. I asked for a downstairs room because I can't carry my heavy suitcase up the stairs (no elevator) and they said they couldn't commit, but when I arrived they were waiting for me with their only ground floor room, even if they were almost fully booked. The room had a double bed and an additional single bed. In the lobby there's a tube and railway poster just like the ones at the tube stations on the wall. They have fliers of a shuttle company that picks you up and takes you to the airport, I used the service and it was absolutely great and inexpensive. I couldn't ask for more, really. Direct all special requests to the main clerk, Ms. Shaz. All the staff are Indian. They took great care with a parcel I had arriving before me to the hotel.

I was very difficult to find the number of the road. I asked the Best Western Corona from the other block, and nobody knew this hotel. They charged me more for the room, but as the owner told me the pesonnel needs more experience. He refunded me the money. I have to leave the hotel earlier, and he also offered me to refund me the day. The location is very convenience, it near the Victoria Station and Pilmico station where you can go everywhere from these two main points. I did not like the bathrooms they are too small. No stairs at the hotel, which it causes many problems with luggage.

GTP! If you want something cheap and you cannot find anything cheaper, go there. There was nothing for breakfast without sugar or carbohydrates. There was no cheese or sausages. It would be much better if they would give you the choice not to have breakfast at all and get a discount on the price. The room was decent enough. Stuff was very polite and helpful. Neighborhood was very good, quite, beautiful and in a very convenient location. There is NO ELEVATOR. Choose your room at a low floor.

It must be stated upfront that there is no elevator to go to upper floors. For senior citicens like me absence of it can be a big hurdle. I was not clear if there is a proper luggage deposit room.

I came to London with my 17year old daughter to get to know the city. For our kind of trip the hotel was perfect. Its perfectly located; just 20 minutes walk from the inner city (means big ben, westminster Abbey or the parliament) and the next bus station is just in front of the hotel. The rooms are indeed tiny and not the right thing to live in for longer than a week. We had a room with a tiny bathroom and for us it was more than enough. But Carlton isn't the right place to stay in with a family or little children eighter. All in all the only thing my daughter and I could complain about is the breakfast because it's everyday two pieces of toast with jam and a coffe or orange juice. But we would return to Carlton for sure.

The hotel is what you would expect in London for this price. The location is good. The Pimlico Underground station is 4-5 min. walk away. Our room was on the street side but we were not disturbed by any noises. The rooms are small and probably not the cleanest. Shower or house shoes are a must to avoid contact with the floor. Beds were okay. The bathrooms are not much bigger than those found on an airplane and they include a shower. As a result everything gets wet, so set the toilet paper outside of the bathroom when showering. Breakfast was very simple toast, instant coffee, milk, cereal and yogurt. The breakfast room is also very small and you will wait for a table if you come late. The personnel were very friendly and cooperative. They even kept our luggage locked up on our last day in London after we checked out.

Bathroom was a bit small and the street noises were a bit loud if you aren't use to city living, but over all we found this hotel to a be a convenient place from which to explore London. Very convenient to buses to/from Heathrow (which is MUCH cheaper than train), walk to Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey and Victoria Train/Tube stop. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Autobus e metro a pochi passi.

The strongest point of this hotel is its location, near the subway station of Pimlico (it's only one station away from Victoria Station, where the coach from Ryanair arrives and also other trains that comunicate to the airports). It also allowed us to reach fast the centre of the city, where the main touristic points of interest are. The neighbourhood is also clean and quiet, so you can take a good rest after an exhausting day in the city of London. The weakest points are mostly the bathroom, made all in plastic and with not enough space (you have to put the feet into the shower plate to be sit down on the toilet), and the fact that the whole room needed to be renewed (the beds were too soft, the blankets and the sheets had also many years), until the point that we didn't use the shower when we saw its state of conservation. There is no elevator in the building, so i don't recommend it to the people with any mobility problem. The breakfast was poor, just included toasts, butter, fruit jam, corn flakes, orange juice, milk, tea and coffe (but we neither touch the coffee pot after seeing the package has been reused a lot of times). We personally recommend one of the hundreds of coffee shops to buy better and not expensive meals to take a good breakfast (Starbucks, Subway, etc.). We won't repeat the stay in this hotel, but we'll search another one into the same neighbourhood.

This was not our first family trip to London. We knew what we were doing. Carlton is a rather nice hotel. It is not too big (but as we only sleep there). It is rather cheap (for London). The rooms are not huge but OK. The staff was very nice. ONLY!!!! Breakfast hour (!) is between 8am and 9am. And as the breakfast room is not spacious... Apart from that, if you want to stay in a hotel not too far off... Carlton will be one of your best bets!

The hotel is absolutely filthy i don't know even why it exists in your data base we have encountered also some difficulties trying to move out, as it is impossible to live there - even the smell of the room was funny tha bathroom was very very small and dirty and old being a prefab one made from plastic the only thing a little bit cleaner were the sheets when we arrived, we could't see the room as it wasn't ready so they say so we left to visit london and came back late at night so when we saw the room it was nothing we could do but after one night there we ran out so please take my advice - pay more and live decent (the room was 89 GBP per night, which is really huge)

I've stayed in a lot of awful hotels, so it would be hard to say this was the worst. But the staff were probably the unfriendliest I've ever come across, and the breakfast was definitely the worst: a choice of cardboard-like cereals and toast, with hot water for teabags and instant coffee on the tables. I won't be going back.

Ground floor single room had door lock held on with pieces of cardboard. Bedding had dirty blotches that hadn't washed out, though the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was served by miserable staff who handed toast from the toaster then went back to chatting to each other. The Carlton is in a row of similar hotels. It is a pleasant walk down Belgrade from Victoria Station as said. We arrived from Gatwick. The staff were very friendly and helped set me up with a posh but reasonable (by London standards) ride to Heathrow as I did not want to do transfers on the way home. There are 2 theaters within walking distance and a number of excellant Pubs and Restaurants. Check out Balti House Spicy World and Cafe Nero. Bfst is routine. I had an inner courtyard room with views of the neighboring building and trees rustling, it is quite nice. Being at the further end of Belgrade it is quieter than being closer to the station. There was internet access right in the lobby so you could check out things as you left.

Hotel was fine for our needs. Close to Victoria Station. Upon arrival they had stuffed up our booking saying we had booked 3 beds rather than two, so lucky we had bought along a print out of our booking for only two which settled this.

The Carlton is a modest hotel, but it is all the budget-minded traveler needs for a few days in London. The location, for example, is excellent: close to Victoria Station, and thus linked by a short underground or bus ride to most areas of interest. Staff at the Carlton were very friendly and helpful, especially regarding storing luggage on the day of departure and recommendations for eating out in the neighborhood. Our family room (four adults) was enormous and very quiet, situated as it was on the back of the building. Bath was small; breakfast in the hotel was worth skipping. But these two minor points hardly detracted from a thoroughly pleasant stay at a very good price. I will definitely stay there again. Best, CWH, Munich

If we think London is not a cheap place to visit at any way I think Carlton Hotel and many more situated in the same Belgrave Road str. are the answer to medium families that are looking for cheaper places to take bed and breakfast. Don't wait for any marvellous chance, but it's very correct service for the price they asked. We can repeat again without problem for three of us. Very well situated to take a walk to every place.

LA VERDAD ES QUE LLEGAMOS EL PRIMER DIA Y NOS PUSIERON EN UNA HABITACIÓN DEL SÓTANO, QUE ADEMÁS CREO QUE NI ERA LEGAL, PORQUE ERA UNA SALIDA DE EMERGENCIA O ALGO ASI EN LA PUERTA PONIA FIRE DOOR KEEP SHUT, ASI QUE PEDIMOS INMEDIATAMENTE SER CAMBIADOS PERO ESA NOCHE NO PUDO SER, ASI QUE NOS CAMBIARON EL DIA SIGUIENTE A UNA HABITACIÓN DE LA PRIMERA PLANTA, QUE AL MENOS TENÍA VISTAS A LA CALLE, EL RECEPCIONISTA MUY ANTIPÁTICO Y ENCIMA POR LAS NOCHES NOS QUITABAN LA CALEFACCIÓN Y TENIA QUE LLAMAR A LAS 4 DE LA MAÑANA PARA QUE ME LA CONECTARAN ¿QUE ES ESO?. OS DIGO SINCERAMENTE QUE YO AHI NO VUELVO PORQUE PREFIERO PAGAR UN POCO MÁS Y ALOJARME EN HOTELES QUE ESTAN TAMBIÉN EN BELGRAVE ROAD Y MUCHO MEJORES (POR 20 EUROS MAS).

I'm disapointed. When we arrived, there were postcards on the wall writtens by several travellers from several countries. All these people were delighted. Well, i guess that the tenant wrote the postcards himself. The rooms were small, especially the bathroom. The Heating was working though the température wasn't so cold (about 13°C during the night) and we had to open the window so the noise came in... The bathroom wasn't really clean. There was moisture on the curtain of the shower. The breakfast was given in a small room without comfort. There was toasted bread (2 or 4 slices, if you want more, you have to ask and wait and perhaps...), butter, jam... A small and too simple continental breakfast. Good luck ! We won't come back.

I WAS NICELY SURPRISED. I DID EXPECT TO GO IN QUITE A FILTHY PLACE INSTEAD I MUST TELL ROOM THOUGH SMALL WERE NICE AND CLEAN, TOILET INCLUDED IN ROOM CLEAN AND WITH WARM WATER. STAFF WAS KIND, ESPECIALLY THE YOUNG LADY WHO WELCOMED US. I WAS THERE WITH MY TWO KIDS AND FELT SAFE. IF EVER I WILL BACK TO LONDON I WILL SURELY BOOK AGAIN THERE. I FEEL THE PRICE/QUALITY RATE FOR A LONDON HOTEL WAS GOOD AND FAIR. HAVE BEEN HAPPY TO STAY THERE FEW DAYS.

On the whole the hotel was all right. The hotel room was small and the bath very close, but if one is there only in order to sleep, it is okay. And, finally, one does not come to London to spend the whole day in the hotel! The nearness to Victoria Station is ideal and the bus route (line 24!)to belgrave road which drives 24 hours the day, is from big advantage. If one has no covered expectations to a hotel and is content with a modest, but, nevertheless, clean accommodation, one can spend the night in this hotel well. The price-performance ratio votes.
