I did not like the luggage storage service, is made without any control, I actually got the feeling (I'm sure about it), anyone can access and take any case without problema, t'he staff do not have any control about it no me gusto que el servicio de custodia de maletas, se haga sin ningun control, me dio la sensacion de hecho estoy seguro, cualquiera puede acceder y llevarse cualquier maleta ya que no tienen ningun control al respecto

The spaciousness of the room was very different compare to what one would expect seeing the images on the website. We had a very noisy air conditioner in the bedroom. The breakfast was not included.

A recently and nicely renovated hotel in London's Queensway hotel area. Almost everything is new. Good quality with reasonable price. And close to Paddington station - you can walk or take a taxi with £5-7. We will come again.

I was given a room located in the basement (!), the bathroom had a stench of tobacco that was impossible to remove even by leaving the ventilation on all night (adjacent room with smokers, or staff premises with smokers ?) I have stayed at other hotels in the same district for less and with breakfast included.

Hotel was as promised, and an excellent experience. A point of note: we were on the to floor, and on a rainy night we had a drip coming through the ceiling into our room. The hotel staff immediately moved us, into a larger room, and provided a partial refund. The location is excellent, the hotel is clean and well-maintained. I recommend it.

Stayed in the Byron for 2 days. Thought it offered it offered great value for money and I would stay there again if in London. Staff were very friendly. My room was very clean. I didn't have breakfast. Bed was very comfortable and the room warm on a night when it was snowing outside. A very quiet street. Close to 2 Tube stations and numerous bus stops. A couple of streets away from Queensway where there are so many different places to eat. A couple of minor issues. Had a problem getting hot water on the first day, due to an air lock in the tap. Maybe caused by the cold weather? But this was fine on the day that I was leaving. I also feel that the left luggage area should be a locked room. It is really just part of a corridor and in front of a fire exit. Lift slow if you are fussy about such things. Hotel very welcoming from the outside and a bright and airy lobby. Checking in was fast, friendly and very easy. The few staff I spoke to briefly were all very polite and friendly. I think for its location this hotel offers excellent value for money.

Could be fine to precise that there is a direct bus from St-Pancras to the hotel (#390). Journey that can be a bit longer due to the traffic in Oxford St. but worth a first sight of London !

The hotel was situated in a quiet street in the Bayswater area. The main areas in the hotel were quite nicely decorated. The room in which I was placed should NEVER have been offered as a double room. It was barely large enought to be regarded as a Single accommodation. Very disappointing. I knew it was going to be compact - but really!!!!

A clean, well-run hotel with a very friendly welcome. The rooms are small, but that is no exception in this price class in the middle of town. The location is very convenient, with a park almost before the door and 2 underground stations, more than 50 cheap restaurants and 2 supermarkets nearby.

The hotel is in a perfect location with very easy access to the underground station and bus station to any sightseeing points. The staff at the reception is helpful and friendly. I do really appreciate their help. The room is bit small but it is a normal in most hotels in Europe. And with the price that I paid, 148 pounds for 2 nights, I think it is acceptable.

We are regular customers (this was our 3 time for a long weekend) and the hotel is always friendly and in a very suitable location near 2 underground stations,a lot of walking green and a galaxy of nice restaurants on Queensway. The rooms are not very spacious, but this time it was quite acceptable.

The only negative comment is that the hotel contacted me separately insisting on my security no on my credit card or threatening cancellation. It was very difficult to get an explanation why and when I sent it they immediately debited my card for 1 night ( a pre authorisation). If you were travelling and not checking your emails you could find yourself with the room cancelled. On arrival they insisted on full payment before giving the key, which I found very odd. On discussing it with them they said it was normal pratice in London. After that they were never very friendly.

Had a pleasant stay at this hotel. All staff we met were friendly and polite. Hotel is quiet, clean and welcoming.Breakfast a bit hit and miss, but waitresses lovely. The children loved it,especially the quirky staircase. They accomodated the needs of my elderly mum and she was delighted with her room. I would definately book again. Thoe only negative was, I made the mistake of asking reception to book a taxi and they obviously have a contract with executive cars and we were ripped off on the journey back to Victoria(we were overcharged £15!).So always look for a black cab, they pass by fairly frequently.

For a four-star hotel, the room needed a bit of cleaning behind the ears, so to speak, and maintenance. Otherwise, the room was a great value for London, was easy to get to the tube, and was quiet and the employees competent.

London is always expensive, and this room was very small. It was a single with its own bath. When I first tried to take a shower, the shower door fell off in my hands, but they fixed it within 12 hours (to be fair, I was sleeping a part of that and asked them not to come in then). Easy access two blocks away to two Tube stations and a small shopping mall plus lots of other stores. The Internet service worked well. Some of the reception desk staff were very helpful -- for example, to recommend good restaurants nearby (good Indian about 3 blocks away). Others seemed less friendly but not unfriendly. It was nice that the hotel had a lift. It would have been helpful to have had a luggage rack in the room -- but no space! I did not try the breakfast, so cannot comment on that. I would return to this hotel if my goal was mainly a place to sleep.

The location of the hotel is excellent. Just a 5 minute walk away one could find a variety of restaurants, pubs, convenience stores, places for breakfast and 2 subway stations. The room was small, the bathroom was roomy enough but it could use some maintenance. Hotel stuff extremely helpful and polite. There are 6-7 other hotels on the same street, next time I would try one of those.

We have been to London many times and have stayed at different hotels, mostly 4 or 5 stars. However this hotel gave absolutely very good value for the money (except the price for breakfast, which was not included). We experienced a very good service and welcoming emplyees. Very nicely decorated rooms. There were 3 of us and we had two rather spacious connecting rooms; perfect for us. The location was also perfect for us, so all together, we enjoyed the stay and will most probably stay here the next time we visit London

Very friendly hotel with efficient, helpful staff. Rooms nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. I requested a double room but was allocated a twin on arrival - when queried the receptionist told me the available double was smaller and he thought that as I had travelled a long way I would want to stretch out a bit - nice touch! Elevator is slow! Location is spot on, in a quiet street but only a few minutes walk from the centre of Bayswater and also two Metro stations on differing lines. Wireless internet was not working for most of the time I was there but staff most apologetic and when it did work they allowed me to use it for free. Breakfast room light and airy and does a good full English fry up and the staff are efficient and pleasant too. This hotel had both business and leisure travellers in it, and I would recommend it to any kind of traveller - you won't get much better for the same money in London.

American visitors may be dismayed by the size of the room, but in London, at this price, you're not going to get much better. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The location is good, in a nice leafy tree-lined quiet road only two streets (10 minute walk) from Bayswater tube station on the Curcle line. There are plenty of shops, pubs and a great variety of restaurants nearby. We had a 4th floor room overlooking the rear, and there was no noise or disturbance at all, from the street, or from adjoining occupied rooms. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel, which is available at extra cost, but had (surprisingly) a superb full English breakfast in a Bella Italia restaurant near the tube station. Everything worked, no air conditioning, decor slightly jaded but pleasant enough. I'd certainly use the Hotel again and would recommend it to others looking for a budget-priced Hotel to use as a base for touring or shopping in Central London.

Queensway full of restaurants, pubs, young life (many student hostels nearby). Internet café very close, Sightseen bus stop 50 mt, taxis available down the street any time. Strectly recommended if you do not look for anything luxury.

We arrived at the hotel and found out that they had given away our second night of our reservation because they tried to run my credit card through ahead of time although our booking confirmation said we would be charged at the end of our stay. My card had been comprimised and a new one had been issued to me between booking and our trip so the card didn't go through. They emailed us about 12 hours before we arrived saying we had to confirm within 24 hours - and although we arrived 12 hours later they had given away our second night - but kept our first?! Turns out it was Wimbleton week as well as Nelson Mandela's 90th birthday party in Hyde park (across the street) and they could apparently get more for the room that we had secured it for so we were stuck without a room and had to leave London after a day... they were incredibly rude about the whole thing.

We travelled to London mid-march 2008 and have in general been quite satisfied with the hotel. It is ideally located in a quiet street with 2 tube stations within a 3 minute walk and lots of shops and restaurants around the corner. Our room was clean and the furniture new, only the bathroom lacked a bit in trimness, though it was acceptable. However it had been nice if we could have fully closed the bathroom door which was impossible.. The lobby makes a very good impression and the staff was friendly. The only real minus is the breakfast: very low quality of bread and jam, every little extra is being charged and the toaster broke down "today" five days in a row. Also the breakfast staff is not very friendly, and the view into the open kitchen revealed a clear lack of cleanliness, and the carpet in the breakfast room should be replaced by a new one. In total I'd still recommend the place to those who are willing to accept that the standard in London hotels is much lower than in Germany and the price unfortunately much higher. However, having seen a lot of London hotels before, this one has certainly been a better experience than many others.

We booked the Byron based on reviews here and on other sites and felt that they were accurate in their positive nature. Unassuming exterior but interior is clean and welcoming. Room is small as you'd expect from London ( building was probably originally a large domestic residence)but beds were firm and of good quality. Room has TV (5 channels) and Air Conditioning -(didn't need it in Feb). Each room had a quaint name as well as a number .. hmmm. Our room faced the street but it was very quiet at all times. There's a lovely seating area on the mezzanine that you'll only discover if you take the stairs instead of the lift -check it out. Inclusive continental breakfast was excellent and hotel was close (4 mins walk) to queensway and bayswater underground stations. The Bella Italia restaurant on Queensway was fine but we were not happy with the standard of the Maharajah Indian restaurant also on Queensway. We'd be happy to return here, which is more than can be said of many of the budget hotels in London that we've tried out in the last few years.

At first glance, we were disappointed. But, as we made our way to the very close tube stops each day and remembered that the average hotel in London for the same price is smaller, more run down or miles outside of town, we liked the place. Rooms are small, as all budget (and other) rooms in London. Carpets in halls are in need or replacing (big deal). Tube stop is less than two blocks walk, which is great. The price (we paid about $140/night) made it very affordable for us.

We were very impressed with the quality of the hotel and neighbourhood for the price we paid. We have had much less for this price in the past. We thought we would get a full breakfast since we had booked a room including breakfast(although ones without breakfast were available), instead we got a 'continental' breakfast while we watched others in the breakfast room eat a full breakfast. That was our only disappointment. The room was very clean, but small. We would come back, but next time not bother paying extra for a continental breakfast.

Quaint old country-style hotel in a great location, very close to Kensington Gardens & Hyde Park as well as restaurants, shopping and the underground. Our room was very small, but clean and quiet as it was on the top floor facing away from the street. Breakfast of cereals, toast, processed cheese & ham, juice, coffee/tea is included in the price. The price on Venere (85 GBP) is much cheaper than advertised at the hotel (120 GBP). We would definitely stay at Hotel Byron again.

Colazione continentale e, a richiesta, all'inglese, con scrambled eggs e, a scelta, bacon, sausages o fagioli neri. Scadente il the. C'è una conservatory dove poter fumare. Il personale è molto gentile e disponibile.

The hotel is situated at a quiet street, full of similar small hotels. OUr room was small (as expected) but clean with window overlooking gardens belonging to private houses on the other side, so we could have heard birds singing!. The only downside was that towels were not changed during our stay (4 nights). Ohterwise we were satisfied also with location (quite close to subway and kensington gardens). I may recommend the hotel for those who seek decent accomodation for a good price.
