Hotel is situated in the very nice area (lots of shops and restaurants) and close to the Paddington Underground station. But our room was very small (two people and two luggages couldn't fit in) and the bed was very uncomfortable. The price was not so bad but if you can invest a bit more money book in some other place.

although the price of venere.com includes breakfast, the real price doesn't include breakfast. And we booked 3 double rooms, but 2 double rooms and 2 single rooms were provided with no additional money. Basement room is always shocked by the noise of underground.

Room small, but adequate. Didn't sleep much, because of the neighbours arguing till 3 in the morning. Breakfast is not included, but for 5 pounds you can eat from a very nice buffet. Indication of the hotel on the Venere map is WRONG!!

When we arrived at the hotel they didnt have a room for us. But we had a reservation..So they told us about another hotel! so everything went ok in the end. i would recommend all customers to call them first to confirm your reservation.

I was very disappointed when the morning after I found out that breakfast was not included in the price, whilst when I booked on the web among services breakfast was mentioned. I had to leave the hotel and go to have breakfast in a bar nearby.

The locksystem in our first room was out of order. One night at 1 am we woke up for fire-alarms groundless yelling. I had to tell 3 times about the lift, that was out of order, but nothing happened to have repair it.

Our stay was exremely pleasant. I must comment on the excellent manner of the reception staff both on arrival at the hotel and previously when telephoning regarding our visit. Each member of staff were extremely helpful and polite each time. We had the experience of the male receptionist having to deal with, let it be said a "toublesome" customer and although this customer gave him an extremely hard time ( through no fault of his own), his manners and politeness put this customer at shame. the abuse that your staff member had to listen to was unacceptable, however thorughout this he managed to stay polite. This hotel is not the " plushes" of accomodation, however for value of money it was excellent. This is our second occasion and certainly I would return.

The breakfast isn´t included in the price you quote. Good location. Correct, medium quality. We could repeat this hotel.

Great location but very tired decor. Our double bed might have been squeezed into a single room which would explain why we had to move our suitcase to open any of the doors. still the staff were friendly enough and at the price, it could have been a lot worse!

The room was very very small but at that rate for London it was to be expected. But the great location, short walk from Paddington Station, made up for it. I would stay there again.

The first room we get had problems with the toilet flush, so we get directly a new room where the toilet flush works. The room and bathroom was clean, but the room was a bit noisy, because it was directly laying on the main street. I was five times in London.

The worse hotel I have seen in my life.
Italy, Nov 2006
This hotel is without hot water and the service is very very poor. it is very ugly hotel.

What the website failed to tell us was that their discounted price was actually for the teeny tiny attic room, NOT the one in the picture. The stairs were the steepest I've seen in a hotel and we tripped over the bed on opening the door. Having said that, for London, the price was fine for what we got and right near the tube station.

We were actually relocated to the Reem Hotel in Bayswater. We were told that there was a leak in our room at the Brunel. Apart from the change of location, the Reem Hotel was excellent with friendly staff, especially the night staff.

The room was very hot without a way to turn down the heat. In order to cool off the room we had to open the windows and the street noise was very loud. The breakfasts were good and the staff was very pleasant.

Very pleasant and well situated small hotel (easy access to two tube lines) although rooms may be quite noisy. Friendly and helpful staff. Overall: good choice and good value for money

Nice hotel which offers what you need and not more. Pretty sourindings and not too noisy in the mornings and silent in the nights. The stay helped with a good night sleep that helped me doing good work days.

we stayed in room 307 which is beside the lift which made a lot of noise, so ask not to be booked into 107,207 or 307! the location of the hotel is top class, being only a minutes walk from paddington station.Prices are very reasonable and rooms are very clean and well equipped.I would definately reccommend the Brunel.

The hotel in itself was fine BUT having booked a twin room two weeks in advance, and receiving confirmation from the hotel, my wife and I arrived to find that the hotel had overbooked and our first night was spent in two seperate single rooms....at least they were on the same floor but hardly the ideal situation.
