Spain, Jun 2010
We book a family room, in the web was told 1 double bed and 2 sigle beds, and we got 2 double beds (one smoller than the other), with no place for suitcases, neither for having seat all the 4 of us. Really small, but the employees were very kind. The door didn't close properly and make a noise every time someone opened or closed a door.

Room dark and difficult to move around in (3 beds) but hotel location great, bathroom large, modern and light, staff very helpful and friendly, good breakfast.

We enjoyed our stay, and will likely return to the hotel next time we come to London.

Very nice hotel indeed. From here you can in fact walk to all major surroundings and tourist attractions in London! The rooms are small, but clean with ok bath/toilet. However do change your room if you get one with an inadequate sliding door to the toilet... All in all, we highly recommend this hotel :-)

It was perfect with Baker Street station so close (200m) where 4 different subwaylines took you almost everywhere in London. Many shops and restaurants nearby (on Marleybone High Street). Can recommend the Giraffe for families. Madame Tussauds is about 400m frm the hotel.

Grandparents and granddaughter
United Kingdom, May 2009
My wife and I planned to take our 11 year old granddaughter to Madame Tussauds. We were pleased to find a hotel close by that offered a triple room as this has often been a problem. Although the room was small (we knew this already from reading the reviews)it was clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff were incredibly helpful and obliging; cheerfully giving us directions to nearby restarants and bus stops, maps of bus routes and additional tea/coffee supplies. The area is quiet and well placed for underground and bus routes; with a large car park further down the street

Excellent breakfast!!! Close to the tube. We chose this hotel partly because of its location close to the London Planetarium. When we arrived we found out it (the Planetarium) had been moved to Greenwich three years ago. Nice, tiny hotel lacking space but full of comfort and warmth.

Very pleased. Okey the room is a bit small, but we were four people and it was ok. Overall - we are very happy and will stay there again if we are going back :-)

Convenient location one block from Baker Street Tube Station, safe neighorhood, with restaurants and Old Globe Pub within two blocks. Small rooms but comfortable beds, clean private bathroom, safe in room and reasonably good breakfast each morning. Staff was quite helpful and I would stay again.

Everything was good, except the following: even though we paid by cash on the first day the hotel blocked our bank account 1 day of accomodation fare after the last day of our vacantion (retro activery) for two weeks. But after all the money was released. The Crew was very nice and helpful. Highly recommened!

The hotel is OK but the problem is how small the rooms are. Breakfast is OK but all the rooms are small.

The family room was quite tight, but served the purpose. The close location to the Undergroung was excellent and the system can take you anywhere in London. The lobby was lovely with a nice coffee/coco machine.

The hotel was exactly what my wife and I were after. The service could not be faulted nor the surrounding areas. It is conveniently located close to the tube for access to area of London. Will be staying there again.

Hotel was very nice (close to Madame Tussauds). Only the room was very small and the bed was to short for my husband. But the best hotel we have been in London.

For an overnight stay like ours, I'd recommend this hotel for a quiet, clean and pleasant night sleep and decent breakfast. Our room appeared to have been recently refurbished and was very pleasant - small - but adequate.

I arrived way before check in time after a 24 hour flight from Australia. I was given a room virtually immediately which was really appreciated. A charming little hotel and all the staff were extremely helpful. It was a nice start to a lovely holiday. A nice convenient location. Have already recommended to two people.

My husband and I stayed at the Blandford for 2 nights in late October. It is in a great position very near Baker Street tube, walking distance from both Regents Park and Oxford street. Lots of varied places to eat nearby. We had an early morning surprise when the fire alarm went off, but that din't spoil our stay. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We would definately stay here again.

Great location - maybe 200 yards from Baker St station and even closer to bus stops. OK, the room was small: all London hotel rooms are and you don't go to London to play indoor baseball. The Queen size bed was a bonus, the breakfast more than adequate and having air-conditioning was a real plus. On the downside, my room had a light on outside all night (I think it was all night - it didn't keep me awake). All round, I was very satisfied, slept like a baby, was able to skip lunch because of the breakfast and I appreciated the quiet location. I was in London for a college reunion but stayed at the Blandford for 2 nights before it started so that I could be conveniently located for where I wanted to go.

Friendly and helpful staff, comfortable rooms (although a bit on the small side; typical London hotels I guess). Overall this is a wonderful hotel. The air conditioning works really well and my parents didn't complain about anything! Just a short walk to Baker tube station, you can practically see the station from the front door of the hotel. The price are reasonable, considering the location. A little tips if you take a taxi to get here: just tell them you're going to the Sherlock Holmes hotel (which is straight-facing Blandford hotel). Coz the taxi driver I went with didn't know this hotel... yet.

quite a nice place for the price but very noisy and the breakfast room could do with some organising as you were expected to share your table with stranger
