I needed a room for the night before going to catch the Gatwick Express from Victoria. I have stayed in small hotels in Belgravia before and was prepared for something very basic. This hotel, however, was a pleasant surprise compared to my previous experiences. The room was miniscule and the service impersonal, but it was immaculately clean and freshly and tastefully decorated. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in and it was all just 5 minutes walk from Victoria Station. I was very pleased and thought it was excellent value for money. I hope there's a room available next time I need it!

Our room was at the top of the stairs and since there are no elevators it was nice it was only one level. The room was a nice size and the bed was clean (no bed bugs) and the bed was soft. The carpet was old and disgusting. We tired to shower and you had a choice for water either scalding hot or freezing cool. We arrived on the hottest day of the year therefore air conditioning in the room would have been nice. We were not told the a/c did not work in the room but it was known to the hotel as there was a small mobile fan in the room when we arrived. In the morning when we were checking out we told the desk clerk the room was super hot and he pretended not to speak English.

Great price, great location. Clean and nice public areas. Breakfast room a little small especially at busy times but staff were really good brought toast as soon as we sat down there was rolls brown & white, butter, jams, yogurt, cereal & cheese, tea, coffee and juice. Not much storage in the rooms we had a 4 person room but was more than fine for 1 or 2 nights. Tea/coffee in room and supplied towels. I would recommend it.

Poor service, no warm water, no air condition, no security locks for all windows in every room, flooding lobby, extreme long stair and extreme small room. This is the worst hotel I have never met before, won't come to this hotel again.

We were four people in one room on the ground floor. Room was clean on arrival but never been cleaned in three days. They only made beds and changed towels. Average breakfast, not too much choice but enough to start the day. Very quiet area close to coach and train stations. A good value for money if you think you are in London. Talked to a lady that was given a room in the basement and she did not like it at all. I saw carpet rolls around so guess they are renovationg it. This was my second time at the Hanover and I would definately come back again.

You can walk to the centre of London, it's a quick and pleasant walk. the underground stations are quite close, there are restaurants , pubs very near. We stayed 4 nights and we were very happy with the facilities and the team of the hotel : it's good value quality/price.

As a family of four (two teens) the room was a bit small but totally adequate. We spent very little time in the room; left early in the mornings and returned late in the evening. The price was fair. The breakfast was good with prompt service. The location was perfect; within walkning distance to many tourest sites and close (a few min walk) to the underground and train station (Victoria) and coach station.

The Hotel was actually surpsising well, rating price and quality. We arrived late at night, but the service was still fine. When we booked the Hotel (1 double room and 2 single rooms), we wrote in the application, that we wanted rooms as close to the ground as possible, because my old father was one of the guests and he has difficulties about using the stairs, but anyhow they put us in rooms at 3 different floors and my father on the 4. floor with no lift. A little disapointing. But overall a very nice stay, quiet surroundings, Subway not fra away and very fine restaurants near by.

The room was small and the bed was not very good, but it was ok for the price. The only thing I didn't like is that I asked for a low room in the booking form because I was trevelling with an old man and a 2 year-old child and we get the highest rooms in the upper floor. For young people is a good place to stay, less than 10 min from victoria station.

The room was far too small, the drawers collapsed ehn I tried to use them. No space to hang clothes. No bedside lamp - had to trun off main light and then grope way back to the bed in the dark. No milk for coffee making. Even at 42.50 a night it waw poor value.

Do not encourage people to stay at this HORRIBLE place, there were 2beds squished into a room with space for 1 ,no where to put your suitcase let alone open then.We asked if the room would be avaliable for another few nights 9while we looked for better place) and was told that it was at the same rate then the rate suddenly went up by 20 pounds a night, and the management yelled at us and other guests and wouldnt give us our room key until we paid the money owing (the money was locked in the room) they have so many tables crowded into the breakfast room that people get stuck, breakfasT is cereal and toast .The staff ignore you while they have personal conversations and then they yell at the guests its an AWEFUL place

In my entire life, I have never been in such a dirty hotel. Itwas impossibile to use the bathroom because it was so dirty. The breakfast area was filthy and no-one cleaned up.In the breakfast room they also had the laudry room!! To get to my bedroom I had to go through a corridor where they kept all their cleaning equipment. There was fresh paint on the doors without any notice - so we all got covered in paint!!I would never ever go back to that hotel again. The photos on the web page had nothing to do with what we saw and what we got. The only good thing was that the hotel was central.

I stayed at Airways Hotel, not at Hanover. This is not important beacause I´m sure they are similar. My room was double, not single, so I enjoyed my stay because I had more space. The bathrooms are clean but very small. The employees seemed relaxed (excesive?). The worst for me was the breakfast room, very small, old and not beautiful and really not quiet. The breakfast was good and complete.

It has been the worst experience so far in my life. The hotel's quality equals to a youth hostel in terrible condition. The dirt in the room was disgusting, I could not even take a shower. I felt betrayed due to the complete difference of the photos of the hotel on the internet and the reality. And it is not about the size. If you pay so little, it is expected to get a really small room (hole i would say). But for God sake, at least clean the room!

Upon arrivel there was a bad smell (of damp) inside the building. Reception area & the main sitting areas were tiny & shabby looking. Room size was ok but again their was a funny smell inside the room. Window glasses were cracked & windows were difficult to open. Once opended they were difficult to shut or to keep them ajar (we were afraid that they may fall down). We could hear people living above us moving as floor boards were squeeking. Breakfast was a complete disaster. We had to queue. Tables & chairs were extremely uncomfy & there was little room between the tables. Staff serving needs a lot of training & so does the guys at reception. We didn't even bother going for breakfast after 1st day. Certianly not a 3 star accomodation. Call it 1-star or a B&B. Not a good value at all.

It was a "bait and switch". The room was small, the bathroom a converted closet (very small) where you could not shower without the shower curtain (which smelled really bad) touching you. A shower soaked the entire bathroom. Wall paper hung loose from the ceiling. It was our last day in Europe, we had spent the most for this particular room thinking that we would "finish in style". It turned out to be the worst of everywhere we had stayed. Stay away from Hanover!!

It was an awful experience. The floor of the rooms were sloped and the doors of the furniture opened by itself. The room had just enough space for the bed and the bathroom was smaller than that of the airplains. We have to climb up to the third floor with our luggages by the narrow and very steep stairways, which had each step different of the others. Take care with the kind of breakfast they offer to you!!! If you take english breakfast they charge to your account about 4 extra pounds each time and each person. The breakfast included in the price is the continental one, and they don't tell you. We will never go back to this horrible site that names itself "hotel". We can't understand from were they stole the hotel's stars.

Other than that rudeness of one of Front Desk Staff, my stay at the Hanover was ok. SInce I arrive earlier than the usual check-in time, I was charge and 15 Pounds additional to cost.

La colazione all'inglese è abbondante.

i was very sorry to realise that the hotel facilities were very poor(damaged furniture and very narrow spaces and above allnon optimized)after i arrived to the room -Nr. 7 in the basement - a triple. EXTREMELY HOT almost unbarable for us and when we open the window we had a smell of gas that was very unpleasant, why? because all the sorts of gas were placed in the wall in front of our room so we had a great view and a lovely smell and we also had tv but it was broken...the hairdryer was so hot an slw that to burn my hair i would take a week and i only stayed 3 days. poor restaurant not good food but then again you are not suposed to eat well in London. very near victoria coach station not as near the undeground but good location only we believe that 3 stars is too much to define this hotel.

Nothing of to better catch buttons which had with the dirtiness of the rooms. It should be noted that the health facilities did not function correctly!!! A hotel which would pass very close to 1 star in France. In short, I do not recommend it!

very very bad hotel my room was underground, dirty and smallest the sheet was broken off and dirty. TO AVOID !!!!

Maybe this is typical for accommodations around London. Room was extremely small and was overrated by the website. Not even one chair in the room. Carpet needs replaced. Bed needs replaced. NO AC....and no fan even though temperature was over 90ºF. No lift. Left the hotel as early as possible each day and returned as late as possible. Hotel needs to be gutted and refurnished.

excellent value for stay in central london, nice quiet area and a short walk from main attractions. It was a great help to be able to leave baggage as we did not travel home til the evening.

Good value stay -- my room was tiny as can be, but it had a bathroom. I didn't expect more for that price.
