Hotel Reviews Four Seasons Hotel
Family with Elderly Mother & Older Child
Spain, Jul 2009
After some initial confusion regarding my pre-visit request for a room on the ground floor for my elderly mother-in-law, the situation was resolved satisfactorily. We stayed in the newly refurbished annexe across the road from the main hotel. The rooms were very clean and pleasant - the large family room on the ground floor was spacious, the double room upstairs was a little cramped but perfectly acceptable, as we did not intend spending too much time in it. The bathrooms were very clean but could be improved with the addition of some hooks to hang towels etc. The staff were friendly. The breakfast, for which we had to go across the road to the main building, was fine, although some fresh coffee / hot chocolate etc would be an improvement and would also help to avoid problems with the coffee machine. The location of the hotel is good for sightseeing and is close to public transport. There is an NCP car-park close by if required. I would recommend The Four Seasons to families or anyone on a sightseeing holiday as it represents good value for money for a Central London Hotel.

Buon compromesso prezzo/servizi/collocazione.

Cannot fault the place; excellent for the price. The location was great as I had a meeting in Regent's Park. I forgot my cardigan there and it was sent to me the following day!

This hotel is in a good location within five minutes walk of Marlebone and Baker Street tube stations. The room was quite small, but adequate. The bed was comfortable. The key negative point in my view is that the walls are not very thick, which means it is easy to get disturbed by other guests. Road noise was low (even though my room was on the road-side): the main noise problem was internal. The continental breakfast was fair; the hot chocolate was not good! The excellent cleanliness went some way to make up for the above niggles. Overall I would be happy to stay here again.

We stayed in a 3-bed room right on the top floor. According to the reviews we'd read, we expected the room to be tiny and the breakfast to be poor. However, we were pleasantly surprised. The room was not big but could do for tourists who spend there only little time. And it was light, nice, with comfortable bed and nice clean bathroom. The breakfast was continental but included everything that we needed. We were told the breakfast coffee and tea maker would be on all day for us to use freely, which was true on the first day of our stay, alas not on hte second one. The location is perfect, although the noise level might be a tiny bit over "completely quiet" in case your room faces the street. Generally, the place was a nice surprise and we would stay there again.

There was no room service as stated in the information. No tea making facilities. As I was a woman on my own I felt very vulnerable as I had to walk the streets of an unknown place to find somewhere to have a cup of coffee after travelling for several hours. That drink having to last me until the next morning. Breakfast consisted of 2 slices of toast, a selection of cereals and exceptionally strong coffee. The waitress was less than friendly with not even a good morning or smile on her face. I set for 10 mins before she even noticed me. The other staff were friendly and polite. I asked for a taxi to my seminar. When it arrived it was a 'chaffeur' car and cost me £10 instead of the usual £5 I was not informed of this. One of the reasons I chose this hotel was because it stated it had room service.

A very warm welcoming hotel. The room was rather little but enough for a long weekend stay. For a longer stay I would prefer a bigger room. However the location is great, just 10 min walk to Oxford Street, Baker St Station within 6 min walk, excellent!!!

The bread for breakfast was covered in mildew and when asked the server was off hand and was not concerned in the least with either the state of the food or us as customers. We have made a report to the appropriate government body.

Petit hotel calme (pour les chambres sur l'arrière seulement). A 2 pas de la station Baker Street, donnant accès facile à toutes les destinations. Accueil simple et convivial. Breakfast banal...
