the room offered was good value for money; breakfast was moderate and in the breakfast room was not enough space available, thus I had to wait 5 minutes for a free table to share; paying 5 GBP for storing a piece of luggage on the departure is a rip-off in my opinion!!

Well first off, the guy at reception upon entering couldn't be bothered to look up from his phone when we first got there. While most of the staff were nice there really wasn't much enthusiasm from any of them. Our room was on the 3rd floor (really the 4th) up a lot of narrow stairs. There was no heat or hot water for the first 3 days (we stayed 4) which they didn't bother to mention that this was an issue in the entire hotel. There is small and there is tiny, the room was pretty much a cubicle. I really think they need to start indicating the actual sizes of rooms on the listings. Breakfast - we ate once, it was cold and the two woman working in the breakfast room couldn't be bothered to even acknowledge us. For convenience being so close to the train station the hotel is fine - other than that, I would not be tempted to stay there again

other well known budget hotels in the area were charging twice as much and believe me, their breakfasts are bad! Although rooms were compact, they were clean & the staff are friendly. These are B&B not intended for weeks hols!I had looked at comments before I went and found them unjustified, you get what you pay for in this country and in London less than £100 per night is good!.I am actually a Londoner myself but live in Kent I have noticed that a lot of basic foods/drinks have been over priced because of the tourists (I hate being ripped off myself); I suggest going to either MacDonald's or Burger King (prices are virtually the same around the country) or go an ordinary cafe (will probably look like a dive) but you usually don't get tourists there) the food will be cheaper!;Don't go to a fancy fancy cafe/restaurant-they will charge you the earth! If you're being charged more than £3 for a coffee and £4 for a burger - forget it!I would recommend Elmwood, the price is right, in the right location near a major tube station and rail links and within walking distance of the center of London and the best tourist places. Also one last point, cheap way of going round London cheaply get open top sight seeing bus, one ticket to all major attractions(with discounts) but you can keep using the same ticket all day and get on and off!

Our rooms at top level. There nil lift at this making us stressful to carry our luggages to the room. If you decide to stay in this hotel ,please ensure you do not have a bulky luggage. Breakfast is acceptably good. Hotel location closed to main transportation system.

I suppose it is cheap, but it really is basic. The staff were adequate, the room tiny and the bed slithered around the floor. The bathroom was fine, and things were generally clean. Breakfast was rudimentary and there was not enough room for everyone. On top of that they charged me £5 for keeping my bag for the day. For very little more money you can get a great deal better in this area.

Stayed for 3 days, requested twin rooms, on arrival was told there were none available, nothing the fella at reception could do about it. Nothing wrong with the hotel, but I would not have booked it had these rooms not been available. Expensive for very basic facilities.

good location (close to tube station King's Cross; rooms are newly refurbished and clean, but rather small; room was not ready at 1PM; breakfast was appalling (not even toast available); 5 GBP for storing luggage for several hours on last day is also on the negative side; overall price (60 GBP for single room) too expensive for service/quality -- got better rate at Hotel Meridiana also located on Argyle Sq.

Single rooms were very small, but the shower was a bit larger than in other comparable hotels. Maintenance of the rooms was poor..when I arrived my bathroom faucet was extremely loose. I reported this, and was told it would be ok. The next morning I woke up to a flooded room. Breakfast was good, better than average. Location was good (5 min walk from St Pancreas/Kings Cross) but neighborhood a bit dicey at night. The hotel is on a side street, but there's still a lot of noise from the street outside at midnight/2am.

Single room was very small, which is to be expected at a budget hotel in London. Perhaps seven by eleven feet. Single bed, small desk (could not pull out chair as it hit the bed), night table and a wardrobe about 18 by 24 inches. Toilet and sink were in one room and shower was in another. No towel rack near sink and had to ask them to put in a toilet paper holder. Toilet seat also had a broken hinge, which they fixed when asked several times. Rooms facing street can be noisy at night as hotel faces a park and people can be there late as well as the smokers from all surrounding hotels that talk loudly out front late into the night. Breakfast room was a pleasant surprise, decor wise. Breakfast is one type of cereal, toast hard boiled eggs, yogurt, one type of sliced cheese, some sort of very thin meat, coffee and tea. Staff was very nice. Hotel is very convenient to Kings Cross

The hotel is really well located (that certainlly the price a bit high for such a hotel). Rooms are a bit small, but it is London! What we did not like: - After check out, the hotel keeps your luggage if you want/need, but we had to pay 5pounds! It is the first time since we have been travelling (even in London) - the breakfast room obviously too small, 6 tables for 20 bedrooms!!

I had a very nice stay in this hotel, the room was small but very clean and sweet, the bathroom was convenient, the wireless internet worked perfectly and the staff was very welcoming and nice. The corridor was sometimes a bit noisy but you cannot force people to be respectful I guess. Very close to St Pancras/King's Cross in a quiet street, very cheap price compared to most hotel of the same kind. Strongly recommended !

It's a budget hotel close to St Pancras. The room was very small, as usual, even the bed was narrow. There was tea/coffee making facilities in the room. The internet was very fast. The breakfast room is ok, but the breakfast was too simple, no choice of wholegrain toast or chocolate milk or fresh fruit.

we had a nice stay, people in the hotel were very friendly and kind with us. Breakfast was simple but good, perfect was the location, near the underground (exit euston road south side). Rooms were clean but our triple whith bathroomroom was very very very small and on the 5th floor without lift! but for the price we paid and the location I can suggest it to everyone that need an hotel just to sleep and live london during the day!

The place is very very very good! Otherwise the hotel was medium or less thatn medium: the bathroom was so small and old-styled but clean. There was no telephone, or walk-up call. This was much overweighted by its location: 3 min to Kings Cross! I would stay there again if the price is the same that I stayed at before.
