Diplomat Hotel - London

Confortable hotel placed in a central area, near Hide Park, Harrod's and other main places to visit.

The hotel is in a good location, clean and accommodating. Good for the price.

I found the Diplomat after my other accommodations fell through the night before my departure, and the folks at the Diplomat were most helpful in helping me to avoid the chaos that might have ensued. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and well-informed. The hotel was well-appointed, comfortable, and convenient to my work and leisure activities, as well as convenient to public transportation and points of interest. The complimentary breakfast was varied, delicious, and plentiful. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there. The Diplomat is one of the best hotels in which I've stayed in Europe.

The Diplomat Hotel is where it was indicated and the room was the price indicated. That's the good news, EVERYTHING else is BAD news. Even though I showed up at noon and said I'd wait till my room was ready, they offered me a basement room. That would not work, Then they showed me to a 2nd fllor room that was smaller than my bathroom - it had a 3 foot bed, no room for a night stand, basin at the foot of the bed and a tiny shower. On a mild spring day, the heating could not be turned off, even with a wrench weilding porter. I was eventually moved to their "star" room on the top floor, a double suite. Again, heating problems and also one of the noisiest room Ive ever been in, due to traffic. The receptionist / concierge caused me to miss a meeting out of town by sending to the totally wrong train station. This hotel makes Fawlty Towers seem like the Four Seasons! I got out as soon as I could, wasting a whole day of my trip finding a new location

I don't have any idea on how the hotel is except for its basement. Our room was located underground and was extremely noisy after 7am. Every day (we spent 4 nights) at 7am hotel employees started to open and close the basement door of the hotel. Every two minutes there were walls trembling because of their absolute uncapacity to realize that customers were sleeping in that dark basement. Additionally, cars traffic was producing noise and pollution just above our heads. The rest? Breakfast is good and rich. The hotel location is great. Probably, if you have the chance to be located in a room where you can view the sky, the accomodation is good.

Comfortable hotel in great location, small single room but not at all expensive. Very clean. Good area to stay in London.

Single rooms are very small and there is a lift to the lower floors, but not the top. Safe area and convenient location, but not a lot right in the neighborhood.

I had a very pleasant stay in Diplomat hotel in London. The hotel was more than I expected. The room was clean and big enough. I was surprised by chocolate and tea gift at my arrival.

Ifound everything very confortable. the reception was very nice and so i could ask what i wanted without problems.in yhe rooms there was not a lot of space but they were very clean.i would have prefered more kinds of food at breakfast

Breakfast was served too late - 7.30-8.00 and this is in London!!!! At 8.00 I had to travel already to the office!!! I paid for breakfast but actually I didn`t have it.

THE BATHROOM IS TOO SMALL

Elegant and welcoming reasonably priced hotel in Central London. Would definitiely recommend.

Quartiere elegantissimo, l'albergo non è all'altezza del quartiere, ma è carino e ha delle stanze grandi con il bagno piccolino. C'è la solita moquette di dubbia pulizia (ma questo vale per qualsiasi moquette) la colazione è ottima. La metro è a 10 minuti a piedi.

London is always very expensive, but considering room and hotel surroundings (one of the best areas in London), this hotel is a good choice. Breakfast is very good. Hotel entrance and the lift are the worst part, but everything else more than compensates for it.

Very helpful staff, excellent room, good breakfast,let down by lack of hot water!. Fixed for our second night but had to use the bath as shower was still cold. Otherwise would recommend @ £125/room/night.

Very accessable to facilities by footin that part of the city.
