The bathroom smelled heavily of chlorine and really needs a refurbishment. On the other hand, the hotel's overall location in the city is great since it is close to the Underground.

It's ok for what you're paying. It's london and hotels are expensive. If you just want somewhere to sleep not far from the centre and in a private room (not a youth hostel) it's fine. The breakfast was ok as well.

Noisy staff and guests, with sound coming up central atrium at all hours. Had to remind staff each day to make up room, towels, soap, etc. breakfast very unimaginative-- cold cereal, and every day it was same--corn flakes!

The only good thing about this hotel was that it was fairly close to the tube station. It said it had a lift, but not for the first floor which is where we were put. We had to go up stairs and unlike other places we've sayed, there was no offer to help with baggage. Also, the toilet leaked the entire time and caused the bathroom floor to be constantly wet causing mold and smell. The bed was terrible and the breakfast consisted only of cornflakes, white toast (burned usually) and watered down juice with tea or instant coffee.

Dirty dosshouse. Incompetent and unfriendly staff - night receptionist did not know where is a certain numbered room, looking for it (among ~25 rooms!) took about 10 minutes of his time. In the room we met some cockroachs. Bed mattress of 20 years old I guess and consists of clots and knolls. My advice is try to avoid staying there

the worst hotel I've ever lived in. I shared bathroom with the rest of my floor, the sealing was dripping, I could see black fungus in the sealing and on the walls. the breakfast was corn flakes every day and dry bread. the room was small. Some friends of mine stayed there as well, they lived in the basement and couldn't open the window. Terrible hotel. Only good ting was the location. I will never stay there again.

I was in London for only a couple of nights earlier this summer and will be going back in August for four, but I will not be staying at Cromwell. My boyfriend and I are low-maintenance, but this place was really not livable. Even the cramped room was fine, even if it didn't seem very clean. There appeared to be a lot of mold in the bathrooms with very little ventilation. The bathrooms were always pretty dirty and had leaking water from the ceiling. My boyfriend put off showering for as long as possible to avoid it. The shower on our floor was out of order, so we had to use the one upstairs. Had it been a normal, relatively clean bathroom, we would not have minded that at all. The location is great, I have to say, but I think it is worth the extra twenty pounds per night to stay somewhere half-way decent. Or, if that's not possible financially, a dorm bed in a hostel would be far better.

This place is no better than some youth hostels I stayed in when I was younger, and worse than some. The mattresses were extremely thin, and the bed springs were sharp - you should feel pain when you climb into bed. The TV did not work, and there was a pile of TVs in the corner. It was relatively clean, however.

They did not accept my MC credit card with explanation that it doesn't work (of course it worked, e.g. in ATM). Also, payment at the beginning of the staying is unusual. Room was very old, bathroom small and not comfortable. Bed was also very small (we ordered double ensuite), hardly for one person.

This is the mopst dirty hotel I have ever been living in. We had orderd one two bed and one three bed room. We got one two bed room but there was raining!!! into that room. The three bed romm was a room with eight beeds in like the rooms that you have in a regement. there shoud be cabel channels there was one chanel. The big room was more like a storage for exampel there was 6 bad tv:s hidden behind the door. The door to the toilet couldent be closed. The picture of the hotel and the rooms on internet was not the same as it was in reality, perhaps it has looked that way soemtimes in the past. My recomendation is that You update the desciption on this hotel or just take it away from your site. I will not recomend this hotel to anyone.

The hotel was possibly the most disgusting place i have ever had the misfortune to enter, needless to say i did not stop there, loosing £45 for the first night, something i am extremely unhappy about. I am appauled you include this hotel on your website and dismayed i coud not contact anyone to speak to to express my distress at having to walk around london looking for somewhere else to stay. The hotel was dirty, the staff were extremely, extremely rude and the facilities were a disgrace. I would never recommend the hotel and am reluctant to use the website again after such an ordeal.

The room was old, but reasonably nice and our stay was fairly pleasant. My only concern would be that one had to be careful in the bathrooms - when we showered the whole room became a tropical rain forest with moisture everywhere,, the bathroom floor was almost dangerously slippery. Also, navigating the building takes some time - staircases are confusing and lift is very old. So good for young and sturdy travellers, but those with any physical ailments or older travellers should probably rethink or try to get room on first floor and be careful. Not a luxury hotel, but quite adequate for our needs.

The hotels is a little old, but livable. The staff is friendly and helpful, which makes that stay more enjoyable. Location is near to the tube and bus stop, furthermore, there's a supermarket just around the corner, so that's a plus point. I would stay here again because of the price.

Hotel was basic and functional for short weekend break. On the second morning, breakfast took much longer than planned as there were many staff who didn't seem to be communicating. When asked for assistance, I was ignored and was unsure if my request would be ganted. Overall, an adequate hotel in good location, close to tube station but with below average service.

We were 3 adults and what we were offered on the first night was very inappropriate. The night staff were very accommodating and changed the room the next day. The photos were nothing like the rooms offered. The kitchen staff cannot speak english, this made it very difficult to communicate. At the moment this accommodation suits the very young or backpackers. I did notice renovations on the 1st floor and if this is to continue thoughout the hotel then it will be a very nice place to stay.

London is really a beautiful place with lots of museums to visit. Persoanlly I stayed there for 12 days and I didn't manage to vistit them all. I enjoyed sightseeing as well. Certainly I would recommend others to go and vist London there are so much things to do. On the contrary the hotel was not so good. When we arrived we were asked to pay in advance and we did with no hesitation. When we went up to the room it was really small and not so clean on the contrary to the photos of the site. During the night we were freezing and in the morning I complained at the reception and the receptionist laughed at me and told me that the central heating wasn't working. Another guy who was working there but was sleeping on the reception sofa said that their employer didn't want to fix it. After many complaints we were given to extra blankets. We also booked the unsuite with the room so we paid more but when the central heating was fixed after three days in the cold the unsuite was still cold (belive me outdoors was warmer than our bathroom).

What can I say. In London you get what you pay for. I dind't pay much so I didn't expect much. With that in mind I have to say that I'm really surpriced that others have rated this hotel so poorly. It is a small hotel that are placed in, Hwat I think is the best parts of London. Close to Hyde Park and Albert Hall, close to the tube station, in walking distance to Harrods. The hotel is rather worn down but they are refurbishing one floor so it will be better. It is a cheap hotel, breakfast is included, staff are friendly and the location is perfect. Book this hotel but don't expect top quality. It's good enough quality if you ask me. I could book it again.

The staying was a big disappointment: I had booked for 3 nights. When I arrived, in a very unfriendly manner was told to me that I had to pay all of the money immediately. Normally there is an option to pay when leaving. All the reservations were written with a pencil in an agenda that looked messy. How they do their administration properly? The room was not clean and looked poor. Not well maintained. The same goes for the bathroom and toilet. The closet for the clothes was damaged/rotten on the bottom backside. In the middle of the night the fire alarm went off several times. It made a lot of noise. The first time when it happened I thought something seriously was going on. After taking a shower in the morning the water leaked to the toilet floor and was not drained. The bath room became a swimming pool. The public toilet was in the same small hall as our room. Nothing else was there. People had to come close to our room to go to toilet. So no privacy. When leaving the room it appeared that the door could not be locked. I had my laptop in my luggage and this was really unacceptable. I didn't feel safe. I complained at the reception. I received the standard answer about the alarm that "there was a problem" and that "it will be fixed tonight". I told that I wanted to check out and leave. I wanted my money back for the remaining two nights. She said that she had to charge me for the coming night even though it was only 10 AM in the morning. So that was before check out time. I said that it doesn't matter, but that I want the money back for the third night. There are plenty of hotels on Cromwell road. I walked a few minutes and checked in at the Park Hotel. It was more expensive but huge difference. I appreciated every service that that 3 star hotel had, after the really bad experience at the Cromwell Crown Hotel. This hotel should be deleted from this website. Even for the 2 stars and the cheap price you would expect more. Summarized: Don't go there, don't stay there!

the relationship between quality and price is quite acceptable,it is obvious that a person must have the spirit of adaptation, but the rooms are very clean, to our arrival the sheets were clean during his stay were changed once or twice, but all things went well the bathroom, unlike what I read, was clean and perfumed always clean and disinfected therefore, all things the hotel was ok, I will come back soon, perhaps because I love London and I love his mentality, and still glocester is very nice and quiet, advice for those who intend to stay in this hotel, or in this area, go to the patisserie, just before the stop glocester road, on the other side of the road,is excellent and cheap

It was a horrible hotel!!! Run by Indians, clenliness and style was unacceptable. We asked for an upgrade to "Suite", had a dirty bathrom but the rest was miserable. No service, no brekfast included, no nothing. Maybe the lousiest and dirtiest place I've ever seen... When I arrived I realized the shared bathroom door at the second floor was broken, I saide I wanted it fixed, they told me it would be fixed in an hour...well, I left a week later, but the door was still broken... Well, no matter if you are at the 2nd floor and shared bathroom has a broken door, you can have a shower or squat at the 3rd floor... Take care!! The pictures you see aren't the real rooms of the Cromwell Crown hotel...they are cheating

We were looking for a cheap accomodation and it was, rooms are dirty and a triple is really small. We had been awaken during the night cause of a broken fire alarm. Bathroom was clean. the shower was not the best but again i have paid 5 times as much before and seen similar quality....At the end of the day if you are visiting london as a backpacker/or on a budget and would like something a little more private than a hostel then this is ok. Price also including breakfast( unlike some cheap deals) which was toast, corn flakes tea/coffee which again was ok.

The correspondence between the images on the website and the actual hotel was poor. The room was tiny, the bathroom had many cracked tiles, chips out of the toilet seat and dirt was evident around the floor edges. A call to the receptionist on duty on Sunday before our arrival assured me that parking was no problem in adjacent streets. This is certainly not true. My vehicle would have been clamped and towed away in the morning. We checked out immediately after seeing our room and went to another hotel in Cromwell Road. I was charged a nights accommodation when we had not used any facilities. A most unsatisfactory experience.
