Good value, for London standards, in a very central location. The continental buffet breakfast was simple but abundant, although served in a very crammed roomin the basement floor. The hotel was clean and well kept, very conveniently located.

The only positive thing: the location, 2mn walk distance from St Pancras, staff is nice. But the room is really old, noisy, plumbing from the 50's, difficult to have hot water. The wifi seems limited, I only could get connected early in the morning. I know it's London, but very expensive for the poor quality. Avoid it if you can.

The very small rooms needed renovating. There were no cupboards for clothes so tripping over suitcases on the floor. The bathrooms were so small, no room for towel rails or shelves. Our shower was only a 2ft x 2ft recess and no curtain so hole of floor was continually wet and slippery.Would not recommend hotel for a stay longer than one night. Staff though were very friendly and helpful.

This hotel is ideal if you are travelling on from St Pancras. I just needed somewhere to sleep before catching the Eurostar the next morning and I was very pleased with this place. The room was very small but that was what I expected. It was clean and comfortable. It overlooked a little courtyard where I actually heard a blackbird singing! It was surprisingly quiet considering it was just yards from Euston Road. The staff were lovely, really friendly and welcoming and on being told I would have to leave before the breakfast was served they insisted on providing me with a sandwich and fruit juice to take with me. I have never ever been offered this in any hotel before, even much grander ones. I will definitely be using this hotel again when I need to catch an early Eurostar.

PROS: 1) Near to underground (Euston Road South) 2) Easy connection to Heathrow Airport and Eurostar terminal 3) Fresh towels every day 4) Substantial breakfast (buffet style) - service staff in the breakfast room were efficient and friendly 5) Near to variety of food - Chinese restaurant round the corner 6) Wifi provided albeit slow 7) Able to leave luggage at the concierge after checking out at 11am - no time limit 8) iPad available at the lobby for guest use. CONS: 1) No lift - inconvenient because of heavy luggage and the stairs are quite steep 2) Noisy - can hear creaking of the ceiling when guests move upstairs; irritating when you are trying to sleep 3) No air-conditioning - you have to open the windows for ventilation; car sirens and people talking along the pavement can be heard. However it gets quieter later into the night. (My room was on the 1st floor) 4) Toilet is small - separate taps for cold and hot water; entire toilet will be wet after a shower as only shower curtain is provided and ground is level; no shelf for toiletries; only toilet rolls provided but not tissue paper. OVERALL: Budget hotel with great location. If you are out most of the time (which I was), this place is fine for a night's sleep.

It's just the basics, but it's really all you need. A stone's throw from Kings Cross/St Pancras and the British Library, and a safe, warm place to stop off for a night or two. Very clean, more spacious than expected--it was worth the extra £5 for a double room!

Third time to London and we've stayed each time in the same area (right near Kings Cross -best location!) this had to be the biggest rooms we've had in London! We were downstairs so there was a bit of noise from the upstairs area at night but other than that, no complaints at all. Breakfast (included) was pretty decent and the location really is the best

The king room is very small, after put your luggage, there is no place to put your leg. There is a strange smell in the bathroom, not very good. You can clearly listen to the speaking next door. The price is not cheap here, although near the king's cross station.Maybe choose a more expensive hotel near the Tube . Clean, basic hotel if you need to stay overnight near Euston / Kings X / St Pancras stations. Luggage-luggable distance from the last 2, which are on the direct tube line (Picadilly) from Heathrow. Good stopover hotel, somewhat grungy surroundings, fulfills a need for a brief necessary stay. I would stay here again, under the same circumstances, but not for more than a day or 2.

Room was tiny, the bathroom very odd - step down into bathroom but then up to the shower, which created a bit of an issue with two showers back to back. The wifi was weak, walking from one side of the tiny room to the other it would drop. There was construction underway, which was noisy and they even worked on Saturday morning. The staff however was very, very nice & helpful.

There is no lift. The room was very small; to get in to bed on the window-side required a sideways shuffle, you could not walk normally. The bed was more like a 3/4 size than a double. Bedding was clean, pillows hard and uncomfortable. The only storage was 5 hangers under a shelf and we had to squeeze the suitcase under the bed. The bathroom was exceptionally small and uncomfortable to use, leaning over the toilet to use the sink, which had no plug. The shower sprayed the entire bathroom. The drain of the shower was higher than one corner of the floor which meant there was a stagnant puddle of water. There were only two rough small towels, no floor mat. The room was very stuffy and hot. Breakfast was average the kitchen staff were very pleasant. The receptionist was surly. The hotel's only redeeming feature is its proximity to the railway stations.

This is a nice, value-priced hotel right across the street from King's Cross Station. The room was very small but comfortable. It had it's own bathroom, which was also very small...couldn't even bed over sink without turning sideways! The free breakfast was typical for Europe...toast, eggs, meat and cheese. The staff was friendly. There are no elevators, just narrow, winding stairs so be prepared if you have lots of heavy luggage.

Lonodon is expensive for hotels, and you get what you pay for. The Crestfield is an inexpensive hotel, so dont expect too much. the rooms are small but clean, and its fairly quiet, with friendly staff and an acceptable buffet breakfast. There is no lift and the stairs are narrow, so it would be less suitable if you have heavy luggage. Also the basement rooms get some sound from the tube trains, but not enough to be a problem. It's very convenient to Kings Cross/St Pancras stations and underground trains. I stayed there twice and had no problems.

PROS: Few steps to St Pancras / King's Cross Station, so it's very easy to travel around London downtown. Very clean rooms. CONS: Ridicolous spaciousness of rooms and toilet facilities. Got a single room with bathroom for 70 pound: the sink was close to the bed, while the water and shower were separated in less than 1 meter square. Staff was not helpful: asked for a silent room, I was given a noisy room facing the road. Breakfast busy and basic. No lift and narrow stairs. I would just reconmend this hotel for one or two nights, to single travelers who can adapt to spartan conditions.

Crestfield Hotel was our first stop on our trip. The hotel was as we had expected from reading the advertisement and reviews. Our room was small - but it is difficult to not get a small room in a place like London unless you want to pay alot more money. The customer service wasn't great, but you will find that all over London, in the shops and train stations etc. The double bed was small but we slept well. The toilet, wash basin and shower were all separate within our room which was better than being all crammed into one bathroom. While the room was small, we did have enough room to put our bags and hang clothes. The breakfast is not as advertised - the only hot food is the toast. However, if you need something to eat quickly before heading off for a more substantial meal, then there is cereal, toast, fruit, juice and tea and coffee. The food may not have been 5 star - but i wasn't expecting that anyway - especially when it is free. The tube station is literally a 2 minute walk away, as is the St Pancras international station which was good for us as we were catching the Eurostar to Paris from there. For the money paid it was a decent hotel and we have no major complaints.

Clean hotel with good access to the tube (2 mins. walk), quiet neighborhood but still close to the main roads. Thank god I stayed in a double room although being a single traveller. Small bed (1.20 m or so) and even smaller room. Fine for a single room but impossible for a double (and it really was a double). No space for stowing anything. Steep stairs, no elevator. Disturbingly thin walls. Awful breakfast, spare it if you can. Starbucks or other cafes are only a block away. No hot food for breaktfast (tomato, beans etc) as indicated on website. Just industrial marmelade and toast. No internet connection/WiFi in the hotel. WiFi is only available at the tiny reception room (there at least for free). The hotel is fine for one or two nights if you just want to have a bed in London.

This hotel is situated in what was once a formerly downmarket area of London, which has since been cleaned-up and made very safe by the arrival of the channel-tunnel rail link at the newly-refurbished St Pancreas station. The hotel is ideally situated just across the road from the main underground rail hub of kings-cross which can get you anywhere in central london within fifteen minutes. The hotel itself seemed very clean and well-organised for the price range. The rooms were adequately spacious and the shower-room was positively luxurious compared to some of the london hotels we've stayed in. This hotel is ideal for someone on a reasonable budget looking for a clean, simple - but very central base for exploring London. My only gripe was the rather half-hearted breakfast arrangements of toast and coffee. But with more than enough McDonalds and cafes nearby, this shouldn't be a problem. The hotel is even gaurded by a freindly terrier called Jack who relaxes at the front door. All in all a pretty safe bet for the average london traveller.

The hotel is situated insemi-central zone og London but it's easily reachable by underground or coach. The rooms aren't big but however confortable and it are cleaned everyday with attached exchange the bedding. The breakfast is continental. This hotel is advised people who haven't many much demand.

The room was nice and quite clean, and the toilet seemed like it had been recently renovated. Although, there was no heating in our room, and since we stayed in the ground floor (or cellar), the room was moist and too cold. Perhaps other rooms in the upper floors would have been better.

The only good thing about this hotel is the proximity to St Pancras Station for an early morning departure. Dirty stained walls and roof and disinterested staff.

Small and ok hotel with perfect location opposite King Cross/St. Pancras station, which mean you can take the subway directly from Heatrow (less expensive than other means of transportation). Fair size rooms, but small and worn bathrooms. Continental breakfast inkluded in price, contain toast, cereals, coffee and juice. Well kept backyard with seating and tables, bar serves 24h. Good choice for travellers on budget.

We stayed at Crestfield on two separate occasions in June. The hotel was clean, quiet and very welcoming; we were completely charmed by the owner's old, friendly dog welcoming us at the door! Staff was very nice and friendly throughout our stay. There was a distinct downside, however; the advertised breakfast was VERY poor quality. In addition, on our first stay, we got a small and cramped room on the 3rd floor, with an old, noisy (but comfortable) iron bed. On our second stay we were pleasantly surprised to get a ground floor room, which was a LOT bigger and FAR more comfortable! A pleasure to stay in! This hotel is good for a quick, easy stop-over stay, but not for long-term visits. Recommendations: Request a ground-floor room in advance, and skip breakfast. There are many places nearby to buy food; take some back to the hotel and have a picnic in the back yard! :-)

Decent hotel at resonable price for London. Great location, easy access to almost everywhere by tube or bus. St Pancras international station is within 2 minutes walk, so the train is also v accessible. Excellent places to eat close by, for any taste, from McDonalds to typical London pubs, at reasonable price. The room is small, like any inexpenssive hotel in Europe's capitals. No regrets.

The room was little, but clean and enough for having a good stay. Breakfast was without luxury but right. Location is good. Hotel is beside Undergroud's King's Cross station and Saint Pancras railway station, that is the arrival for trains from Luton airport. King's Cross is also an important point of bus lines. British Museum is about 20 minutes by foot. And there are several pubs and restaurants not far away. Good relation between price and quality. Suitable for a week-end in London.

We stayed for a whole week in a 4 bed room together with our 2 boys. We enjoyed our stay and we fully recommend the hotel since the location is perfect as St Pancras is a few steps away and there is plenty of buses and taxis also. Places to have meals everywhere, supermarkets, and the surrounding area is so safe that my boys had no conflicts in going in/out by their own during the day and even in the early night. The whole installations are very nice, with a pleasant decoration and the room was in perfect conditions. The sheets snow-white as well as towels. The breakfast was very well served. We really spent a happy week in this hotel and we fully recommend same. If we ever return to this magnificent city, there´s no doubt we will stay at Crestfield Hotel.

The Crestfield Hotel is located next to Kings Cross station, so its easy to take the underground to any location in central London. The rooms are very small but clean and fully equipped with TV, coffee, tea and with bathroom. For a romms ensuite the price for London is really reasonable. Breakfast was also included but was a bit poor, toast and jam and some cornflakes. In general if you need a room to make trip to London for some days its a good choice.

This was a great hotel in a great location for the money. Very convenient to tube. The bed was comfortable. The room was quiet. Apparently the norm in london though is that you have to pump the toilet to flush. You have to pump a lot though here. Skip the breakfast. The offerings were limited and the dishes were dirty. With this price you can afford to grab a bite elsewhere.

The hotel is near to King's Cross station, so that you can easily go in the London center with the Tube.It is located in a calm street, if you're hungry Mc donalds is in the same street and you can sleep deeply without worrying about anything, a nice dog is guarding the hotel ! It was the first time we stayed at hotel Crestfield and it was clean, nice and quite cheap if you compare to other hotels in London. A good place to be if you stay some days in London !
