We booked one double bed room with shared bathroom but the bed is very small. It's surely not the standard size for two persons. It's just one single bed and they just put two pillows on it. The breakfast is just enough but it would be better if they provide a better quality of food such as bread?? not re-toasted bread! I wouldn't give this hotel for 3 star hotel.

Our stay at Caring hotel was okay. The location is ideal, with access to 4 tube stations and a nice area close by Hyde Park. The rooms were a bit too small for two people to move and the curtains need some washing and fixing. Other than that, the hotel was very clean, staff very friendly and breakfast simple but okay.

We had a nice stay but the bathroom was too small, there was no shampoo nor bubblebath. Apart from that, the room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was good and there a good choice of food.

Excellent location - walkable form Paddington and v. near Hyde Park/Kensington Gdns in a safe, elegant and leafy environment. The hotel is a great base for Central London and would normally be excellent value - we stayed during the Olympics and so the prices were not surprisingly raised quite a bit. Under normal circumstances the hotel is good value. No lift to upper floors so need to be reasonably fit if booked into an upper floor room. Even though WiFi is advertised only for public areas we got good reception in our room and it was free.

I stayed here with my husband and my mom for 2 nights. The hotel was very close to both the Queensway and the Bayswater tube stations and was in a safe neighborhood. It was also a block away from one of the hop on/hop off bus stops. The room we had was for 3 people with a single and a double bed. The room was spacious with a small table and chairs. The only negative issue we had was with the bedspread. The blanket was not clean at all. There was hair all over it. But we just took them off and threw them on the floor and slept in the clean sheets instead. When the maid came the next day she took the blankets from the room but did not bring us new ones.

You could feel almost at home at this hospitable B&B hotel. Really great value for money almost in the centre of London! Me and my sister in law stayed there 5 nights and both were very satisfied. After all hassle in the city, it was wonderful to come to the quiet, warm enough and decent hotel in the evenings. There is nothing luxurious, but that we did not expected. The hotel is situated in a very quiet street, no traffic, no people. The service what we got was also excellent. E.g. my friend hurt her knee when falling down on the street, the staff arranged everything for her: the doctor, taxis, they brought even ice into the room for her knee. The breakfast was also very good; there where everything what we wanted: coffee, tea, 4 different juices incl. tomato juice, boiled eggs, bread, toast, cheese, 2 different fruit salad, muesli. The room was cleaned every day, and there were always clean towels. Bayswater is very nice and sophisticated area with lot of beautiful houses and hotels. You could also find lot of restaurants, pubs, shops, supermarkets (e.g. Tesco express opposite of B. tube station, open until midnight) etc. just a few minutes walk from the hotel. Whiteleys shopping centre and Boots are also within 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Notting Hill is also quite near, you can walk there easily. We found out that Bayswater is the best and nearest tube station, so we recommend to use this station. Bayswater and the hotel area are also very secure. Couple of times I walked alone from the tube station to the hotel quite late in the evening and I was not scared at all. Also I visited alone some pubs (my friend could not come because of her knee) in the neighborhood and no problem :) All the people everywhere in London are very friendly and helpful. I really would recommend this hotel for everyone who likes to stay at small and comfortable hotels with reasonable price in London.

Very nicee and efficient staff, super clean, very nice continental breakfast (spoiled for choice)Twin room was very tiny, no lobby or public area other than breakfst area. The room was extremely hot despite the heating being completely off. Had to sleep with the window open, in February. No elevator. Convenient location. All the basics were there, but I felt it was a bit skimpy for almost $100/night.

I think the hotel is a good choice if you are looking for something near the city centre at a reasonable price. The rooms are okay in terms of spaciousness and quite newly done up but what's really small are the bathrooms. And unfortunately ours was not totally clean when we arrived, either. Breakfast is continental only with a rather limited choice. But the staff are nice. The hotel is located in a privileged part of London and access to the city centre is easy by subway. So I still think it's good value for money.

Nice hotel in a nice area. A good ten minute walk from Paddington Station. On arrival at the station with all our luggage we asked a cabbie to take us there but he refused and said it was not far.So if your at Paddington Station and you get fobbed off just demand to be taken and save the hike with your luggage. Room is very small but OK for the price. After all this is London.Staff very courteous and efficient. There is no lift or porters so If you are elderly and not very mobile this hotel is not for you. Breakfast is adequate served in a nice well furnished room by nice ladies. All in all a nice base to see London.

Great hotel, very confortable, clean and tidy. The location couldn't be better, near underground station and several restaurants. The breakfast was very good too. The only real flaw about the hotel is that it has no lifter. As I have a muscular weakness in my leg it became a real problem, which was conpensated by the kindness of the hotel staff. She helped me taking up the heavy luggage.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the Caring Hotel. We found the reception stuff to be very friendly and helpful. The location was also very convenient and quiet. We liked being close to Hyde Park and we went there one day for a walk. We usually caught one of frequent buses that ran along park, a 5 minute walk from the hotel. The Paddington Station was a ten-minute walk and has express trains to Heathrow Airport. We did get confused when we first arrived since there are 3 small separate sections of Craven Hill Gardens and we hadn't looked closely at a map. We had one of the 3 person rooms and there were only 2 of us, so it was quite spacious. The beds were decent and clean. The bathrooms were quite nice and looked recently remodeled. We also stayed one night in a much smaller room on the top floor with a shared bathroom. That room was not nearly as nice but it was fine for one night and was quite inexpensive--72 GBP. The stairs are a bit steep with luggage but OK if you're in good shape. The breakfast was substantial, hard-boiled eggs, cheese, rolls, etc. The women working in the kitchen were friendly and brought toast and pitchers of milk to your table very quickly. The coffee was quite good. After 3 days we were a little bored with the breakfast and ready for a change. We also had good WiFi coverage in our room at no extra charge, which was very handy. We liked the friendly staff and the ambiance. We would stay there again.

I found the staff at the Caring to be very nice and helpful in terms of guidance to various places. Due to the way my booking was done, I was forced to change rooms as the room I was in had been previously requested by another customer. Suffering from the flu when I arrived didn't help much and the hotel doesn't have a lift nor was I offered assistance with luggage. I requested a room in the back as they were working on another house in the community and the noise was interfering with my sleep. They accomodated my request when I was required to move (On a positive, the room was ready) Back of house, the TV only received a few channels and WI FI was weak. A continental breakfast was complimentary, typical breads, cereals, fruit, juice and served in the breakfast room in the basement. The Caring Hotel is in a beautiful section of homes and is a 10-15 minute walk to Paddington. The building is lovely and the rooms are spacious, the rooms that I stayed in had full baths. I would definitely stay there again and based on the other people I met while staying there, they were repeat customers. My only issue was that I notified the desk regarding the TV and upon checking out, they acknowledged that there was a problem. They were aware that I was sick for most of my stay and I think they should have offered some form of compensation, or a credit towards a future stay, there wasn't even an apology. Again, I also would have expected them to ask me if I needed help with my luggage when I checked in, but they didn't. I also had to ask for the WI FI password. IMO, this is something that should have been automatic on check in. I think if the Caring did that, Caring would embody in the way they treat their customers as well as the name. While disappointing, it isn't enough to keep me from staying there again. As a notice to potential visitors, there is no lift and I believe the home to be a five story walk up, so if you have luggage or children or have troubl

Very nice little and cheap hotel in the center of London, with an excellent quality-price rate. The room was small but clean and quiet. The breakfast wasn't very varied, but good enough for the price you pay and you can eat all you want. The common bathroom was very little but comfortable and was always very clean. The neighborhood was very quiet, with lots of shops and markets very near. Also there are 3 metro stations at no more than 10 minutes walking, very important in London. The best of the hotel is the location and the quality-price. If I come back to London someday I would probably go to Caring Hotel again. Highly recommended for travelers who want a cheap trip without luxury.

The hotel was quite adequate for 4 days for myself and my daughter. Just found it odd that, in the bathroom, there were no hooks for the towels and no toilet-roll holder - both of which would have been possible. Wonderful location, easily reachable, with mostly nice stuff (the brown receptionist girl was not the very kind type). The rooms and bathrooms were spotlessly clean. We didn't mind the small room, but the paper-thick walls made us some nights with not too much sleep because of our neighbour, and the door-shuts are really annoying in the middle of the night. Breakfast is good enough! And the weight measurer is a good idea, we liked it very much! I would really recommend this place, it's a good choice if you are in London. Look no further! Caring by name, caring by nature. Absolutely perfect - Pro's: beside Hyde park and near tube, breakfast included, spacious triple bedroom, cheap prices, clean room and cleaned each day, quiet location, friendly staff. Con's : really none - if I have to pick one, it would be that there was no shower soap provided in the bathroom. But that is really not an issue and quite minor. Definitely recommend this to a friend!

I had expected the worst. Such a central hotel to that price? Something must be wrong. But no - the room was small - but clean, and had everything I needed, I have never seen such a small bathroom before, but it had bathtube, toilet and sink - so what more could I need? The surroundings were excellent. Many good restaurants, shops etc. and it was close to both underground, bus, and it takes about 30 minuttes to walk to Oxford Circus. If you want a cheap accomondation in a central place, you can not have anything better.

Situated not too far from Paddington station, I found the location to be very convenient. The room was a bit small, but for the price very acceptable. The breakfast provided was quite tasty, and the only little discomfort was due to a man playing tuba somewhere in the same building, still, it was at daytime and I believe it has little to do with the hotel managers. I would recommend the hotel as a good place to stay if a location close to Paddington is desirable.

A basic hotel, but clean, and service was very willing and welcoming. Extremely well situated for Paddington/Heathrow Express and tube services, in pleasant area of London. I was staying for one night, on business, and it was adequate for my purposes and good value for money

Good position, pretty quarter, small simple but clean room with flat tv, ordinary continental but good and plentiful breakfast, gentle staff, lack of inside internet point, excellent price-quality rate.

The carpet condition and bedding let the hotel down. Dirty marks on the very worn carpet, sheets that didn't fit the bed and had holes in them and old towels was disappointing. We had an ensuite, but the shared bathroom was next door and was very noisey when being used, particularly late at night.

We (couple in the 40s) stayed at the Caring for 5 nights in September 2010 an can recommend it. It is perfectly situated, 2 Underground lines, buses to Piccadilly Circus nearby. Clean and friendly. Breakfast ok, though not worth a recommendation. We had a double room w private bath, space was ok for a London hotel. Excellent price/quality ratio, a good value for an accomodation in London. We would come back on another trip to London.

Good value for money, clean and comfortable. Like an improved version of the old-style Paddington B&Bs where I used to stay happily years ago. No lift, but that's not a problem for fit travelers. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. I would certainly stay there again--and plan to if/when I return to London next year.

The hotel is satisfactory in general. The location is good, about 5min walk to Queens Way Metro station and surroundings are perfect. The drawback might be its lack of elevator and the breakfast is poor. Free Wireless Internet is only available in the lobby and breakfast room, but speed is quite fast. Room is small but clean and tidy.

We (my sister and I) had a room with own bathroom and it was small but very clean. We heard some voices from next room trough walls, but weren't bothered by it too much. Room was cleaned while we were at town. Breakfast was included in price and it was nice (cereals, toast, jam, eggs, some fruit, tea, juice). Hotel is situated in safe area with beautiful old houses. There were some nice shops near at Queensway. And only about 600m to nearest tube stop. Staff was really friendly and helpfull - ready to advice about shopping places or anything we asked about and to order a cab when needed. All in all we had a great stay and I would definitely stay again.

The hotel was nice I guess for the service supplied, location and price. But: very small rooms, very narrow stairs, very poor breakfast.

The room size is 2 meters by 4 meters one could hardly move with 2 single beds a wardrobe and washbasin and small desk in it. The room size is acceptable for single bed definetly not double. We had one single bed in the one corner the other in the other corner. Emails and faxes send to the hotel has not been forwarded to us. We stayed in the 4th floor with no lift. We found better and cheaper hotels and much closer to the Metro.

Basic facilities but quite good value for the price paid. Stayed in a double room with bathroom on the 3rd floor. Breakfast quite good as well: cereals, 2 types of bread + toasts + croissants, different types of juice, coffee and tea. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it!

If you are a budget traveller this is a very good choice! I traveled with my 14 year old daughter and we had a twin room with shared bath. Our room was small - but clean! As was the shared beathroom. The hotel has an excellent location in a quiret square with trees, yet close to Paddington. We warmly recomend Hotel Caring!

Well-located about ten minutes walk from Paddington & the Heathrow Express. Staff are friendly & helpful;the breakfast unexciting but adequate. My single room was small but not unreasonably so for central London. The room was very quiet and I'd stay there again. The hotel does not have an elevator (lift).

Overnight stay in London with my daughter (aged 3 1/2). Knew from reading reviews that the room (standard twin) would be relatively small, and bathroom across landing very small. However this was just fine for us at the quoted price, and all areas were very clean and well-kept. Perhaps the toilet roll could have been on a holder rather than just on top of the tank, and if everyone in the 3 rooms on the landing needed a shower within a short time it would have been steamy and uncomfortable very quickly, but for our stay no problem. Staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was like our normal fare so good for daughter, and plentiful. Location was brilliant for travelling (Queensway is the easiest tube), relaxing (Diana memorial playground 10 mins gentle walk), and early evening meals. No problems with road/other nightime noise even with window wide open. Left bag for the day with no worries. Can heartily recommend this hotel.

Hotel Caring was a short walk (6 blocks or so) from Paddington Station. It's toward the east bit of central London but still inside Zone 1. A very short walk to Kensington Gardens, and from there you can get all the way to Buckingham Palace never leaving the Parks system. The Hotel didn't have a lot of ambiance, but was nice, clean and well worth the price.

Great quality for the price. Stayed in the double with ensuite bathroom and the room was quite spacious and the bathroom immaculately clean. Not super close to the sights but easily accessible by both tube and bus. Would definitely return to this location. The staff was very friendly and very helpful; able to answer all of my questions about getting around and where to go.

We stayed at a double-room with a shared bath room, however never thought that it was going to be in a separate bed. But in overall our stay here was very enjoyable. The room and hotel were very clean. The staff were very helpful. The breakfast was excellent. Definitely highly recommended.
