I stay over one night in London. This was my second time at Belvedere hotel staying at the same small room (4th floor with no lift and very narrow steps). The room is quiet and breakfast is good. But the furniture is quite old and bathroom is not very clean. I just met other guests during breakfast and they look as young students traveling in a low budget. In this case, location matters due to closeness to Paddington.

Actually, the rate is not 10 only because shower's quality. Everything else is excellent, specially service people cordiality

Really good price/quality ratio, if you're not deeply annoyed by the underground noise it's a good place to spend one or two nights. Day light can be very weak depending of the location of the room. Do prefer a room located above the ground. Breakfast is really tasty and complete. The "lugage room" quoted on the Venere description does not actually exist.

I am very disappointed in the twin room I have booked. Dirty, smelled of pee and noisy and when I ask for a different room I have been asked to pay almost double for a better room or sleep in the one given. Never come back to this hotel, booked it because of the location.

one of the receptionists was not very helpful. The hotel is extremely well positioned, price is very reasonaable for the room and service. The breakfats staff performed miracles. The stairs to reach the room were very steep and may be a problem for persons with heavy luggage.

Very nice stay close to Paddington Station, huge bedroom and good breakfast. For London, which' B&B's are generally on the overprised and relatively low quality side, this was good value for money.

I think that the hotel is good for a short staying; the room we had at the 2nd floor was very good for us, quiet, clean and with a little bathroom but enough for two people. The location is very good for the bus stopping in a few meters by the entrance and the tube and the train station (direct train to Heathrow in 15 minutes) near not more than two or three hundred meters; so you can reach every part of London easily. So my comment is absolutely good for our situation!

The family room (105),in the bathroom, there was nowhere to place our towels or place our stuff. The heating system gave us a few problems but once explained to us, we boiled in fashion, no problem with the cold only with the heat. As for the ladies that handled the breakfast room, they went out of their way to be helpful and pleasing. Upon request we received sandwiches for the children that did not get breakfast. Excellent service.

It is a noisy yet a great location if you move by train or underground and is 20 metres from the closest bus stop. International, friendly and helpful staff, well organised and prepared to recieve their guests. The walls in the rooms could use a fresh hand of paint. The ensuite bathroom was recently renewed, practical and modern. Stayed there again later in the week for an additional night and unfortunately got a different room which had a very old stained cover on the bed and the TV did not work. English breakfast served in the morning is plenty enough to start a busy day.

Right as expected. Decent room and bathroom. Good breakfast. Only complaint: noise from the underground (the 5 beds room is in the basement). Luckily, not during late night hours. Right quality for the cheap price.

Although fairly common in older smaller hotels, the lack of a lift is a problem for older traveler (me!) struggling up four flights of stairs with luggage. No staff to help and the counter clerk actually smirked! Fire alarm went off twice in the night. Night clerk told me to go back to bed and not worry about it (!?)

Hotel provides basic accommodation at a reasonable price. The only problem experienced was that the television didn't work when I arrived and it wasn't fixed though I stayed for three nights. It has no lift.

Hotel is value for money considering that a full english breakfast is provided. The location is ideal as it is only 5mins from Paddington tube/train station. Also, lots of fast food and ethnic food restaurants available. Hotel is quiet at night and there is 24hrs front desk service. However, there is NO ELAVATOR! I had to cart up 2 pc of luggage to the 4th floor. Stairs are narrow and winding. You will be awoken by the smell of oily fried food as the smell from breakfast passes thru the whole hotel. It is after all cheap. But you can stay a night and scout around as the whole area is filled with hotels.

The breakfast and breakfast staff were fantastic. The rooms were very quiet and the hotel is in a fantastic location. Value for money is good considering its location and the breakfast, however the level of service is lacking especially compared to other places we stayed at. I received a phone call and was never given the message, we had to climb 76 stairs to our room and no-one really knew who we were when we arrived.

We (2 adults + 2 children had two rooms), one of the rooms,15, was spacious and nice the other, 16, not). The day covers need washing. We were on the top floor and I would caution people that the stairs to get up there are very narrow and steep. The included breakfast was fabulous, food nice & hearty, and the breakfast staff fast and friendly. The location is great, a block from the tube (Paddington) and the bus from center of city stops right by the hotel.

I had insects in my bed. Is that enough to have a bad experience?

We had the room in the basement so we could hear the tube and hear the dining room in the morning. Except that, our stay was good for the price: room clean, bathroom OK and the breakfast was good (no charges for a english breakfast as you can have in other hostel).

My main concern is safety and cleansiness. The lock on the door did not feel safe and there was no chain to enable me to lock myself in from inside the room. Sheets and beadspreads have seen better days and need an update.
