room was extremely small, there was no room for my suitcase anywhere, when I put it on the floor I couldn't open the door to the bathroom (also miniature—had to sit sideways on the toilet seat with my legs out through the door because wash basin was in the way). No water pressure in the shower. But the English breakfast was very good, the staff friendly, and the location great.

Friendly staff and good location just out of town. Plenty of restaurants and convenient to public transportation. Room was a little cramped and hot, but that is to be expected in Europe. The breakfast room was very small; get there early if you want a seat, but I really don't recommend the breakfast anyway. Overall it was a good experience and good value for the money.

We are a young couple,we have been in london for 1 week. The hotel is near the centre(in ten minutes walk you are at hyde park and buckingham palace),and paddington underground/train station is 100 mt far!restaurants, food and wine, hospital and apoteke are in the near surroundings, and there is also a nice park in front of the hotel. The hotel is quiet, the staff really.nice and breakfast really complete. We suggest for couple and families wanting to discover london in a small price!

This B&B is in an old building that was not meant to be a hotel so the rooms and bathrooms are small while the stairs are steep and narrow. It is definitely unsuitable for guests with mobility, heart or breathing problems. On the first day, the lower hinge of the bathroom came off but fortunately the door did not fall. While the reception was willing to transfer me, the room he offered was in the basement which was windowless and could be permeated by the subway noise. Breakfast, while filling, was the SAME day after day so it gets nauseating after 3 days. The only good thing is the location, very near to Paddington train station, a bus station and lots of restaurants nearby.

Fine for a short stay. The room was an average size. The hotel and room were clean enough. A full English breakfast daily was a nice perk. The main drawbacks were: (1) wafer thin walls, meaning any noise in adjacent rooms such as speaking or use of bathrooms was audible, and (2) no wifi anywhere in the hotel which, in 2013, should be a standard feature! Given these two failings, I'd probably not return to the hotel.

Room on top floor (62 steps, daughter counted them) I am partially handicapped, mentioned to front staff problem with the stairs. Only on check out did they claim they had a room on first floor I could have had. Too late then. Rooms at back very hot, no real ventilation.

We booked the family room for 5 people even though there were only 4 of us. There were 3 single beds and 1 "double" bed so that way everyone had their own bed. The hotel is super close to Paddington station so very convenient for arrival by train from Heathrow. I never expected the hotel staff to provide any tourist information, so with no expectations, there was no disappointment. The family room we had was on the first floor above the ground level so there was little noise from the trains (sort of a distant rumble) and not much noise from the street. The room was quite small, and the bathroom a tiny plastic module with combined shower, sink, toilet all in something the size of an airplane bathroom. It seems all hotels in central London are expensive and so was this place. You still need to take the Tube or a bus about 30-40 minutes to the core London area, but the bus stop is right outside the hotel and the Paddington Tube station is also close. The Monkey Puzzle was a great pub a 5 minute walk away (30 Southwick Street). All in all, the hotel was a good base from which to explore the London area and a little cheaper than hotels in the core of London.

The location of this hotel is close the underground and the different buses which go to the center of London. The access to the rooms of the last floors (3 and 4) are very difficult, stairs very dangerous. Breakfast very simple: continental is bread, butter and jam. English is one fried egg, two spoons of beans with tomato sauce and two thin slices of bacon, all served with tea or coffee with milk. The hairdryer which appears in the advertising of this hotel was not in order. There was an other one in a drawing but he was not in order also.

An excellent stay! The hotel is a five minute walk from Paddington Station, from where you have direct connection to Heathrow - cannot be better. I had a single room, it was as good as you can get in central London. The bathroom was on a smaller side, but again, this is London. Breakfast choice is either continental or full English. The breakfast room is a bit small, so if you are unlucky and everybody is coming at the same time you might need to wait, but the staff is really quick and tries their best, and the breakfast is tasty. The area is very quiet and feels safe, when you come back late in the evening. There are several restaurants and pubs in the area, no problems to get a nice dinner. There are hotels in every building in this area and Belvedere is clearly among the better ones. The hotel actually felt above its class a bit. And you can leave your luggage with them after you have checked out until the afternoon, for free (later there is a small charge), which I could not do at one of their neighbours on my previous trip. The staff is always there and is friendly, helpful and flexible. They found me even a room for an additional night when I got stranded by a cancelled flight. I will definitely choose Belvedere again!

Medium quality hotel. The room was small and the private bathroom was compressed with very little space to move around, it was more like a closet. However, its the most you can expect in London for the price payed. The english breakfast, included, was alright, but besides it there was nothing to choose from, only some sad boxes of cereal. Room service wasnt that bad. The thing that struck us, was that to leave your luggage after check out you had to pay them after 2pm. The location was good. It was well communicated with a tube station(Paddinton) right around the corner. From this station you could also take a train to Heatrow Airport. In the surroundings there are some restaurants and little groceries and a farmacy. We specially recomend a traditional english pub named Sawyer Arms, were you can confortably have a pint of beer and tipical pub dishes for a good price.

This hotel is much like other London Hotels of this type, rooms & bathrooms are very small & plain but the room, bed and bathroom were clean. No lift & most rooms are up two or more flights of stairs and you have to take your own luggage up as is usual in these places. The hotel is very close to Paddington Station which was convenient for us to get around London by tube and to get to Heathrow Airport. There is also a bus stop about 20 steps from this hotel. There are places to eat between it and Paddington, including a pub with good food and reasonable prices.

The hotel is in a great location for public transport. The concierge was helpful and polite and although some may have found him brusque he was never inconsiderate to any customer during my visit. Indeed, he willingly fetched a customer's suitcase when she couldn't manage it on the stairs. He was particularly helpful to me and my party. Our 4 bedded room at the top of the hotel was excellent with a large clean bathroom. We walked to Little Venice and had a great coffee break overlooking the Canal.

I stay over one night in London. This was my second time at Belvedere hotel staying at the same small room (4th floor with no lift and very narrow steps). The room is quiet and breakfast is good. But the furniture is quite old and bathroom is not very clean. I just met other guests during breakfast and they look as young students traveling in a low budget. In this case, location matters due to closeness to Paddington.

Really good price/quality ratio, if you're not deeply annoyed by the underground noise it's a good place to spend one or two nights. Day light can be very weak depending of the location of the room. Do prefer a room located above the ground. Breakfast is really tasty and complete. The "lugage room" quoted on the Venere description does not actually exist.

I think that the hotel is good for a short staying; the room we had at the 2nd floor was very good for us, quiet, clean and with a little bathroom but enough for two people. The location is very good for the bus stopping in a few meters by the entrance and the tube and the train station (direct train to Heathrow in 15 minutes) near not more than two or three hundred meters; so you can reach every part of London easily. So my comment is absolutely good for our situation!

It is a noisy yet a great location if you move by train or underground and is 20 metres from the closest bus stop. International, friendly and helpful staff, well organised and prepared to recieve their guests. The walls in the rooms could use a fresh hand of paint. The ensuite bathroom was recently renewed, practical and modern. Stayed there again later in the week for an additional night and unfortunately got a different room which had a very old stained cover on the bed and the TV did not work. English breakfast served in the morning is plenty enough to start a busy day.

Hotel is value for money considering that a full english breakfast is provided. The location is ideal as it is only 5mins from Paddington tube/train station. Also, lots of fast food and ethnic food restaurants available. Hotel is quiet at night and there is 24hrs front desk service. However, there is NO ELAVATOR! I had to cart up 2 pc of luggage to the 4th floor. Stairs are narrow and winding. You will be awoken by the smell of oily fried food as the smell from breakfast passes thru the whole hotel. It is after all cheap. But you can stay a night and scout around as the whole area is filled with hotels.
