I've been to London several times in the last 20 years, this was my first time ever at the Belgrove Hotel and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to be in the centre of London. The rooms are not that big but I found similar rooms in more expensive hotels in the past. What matters to me is that the rooms are CLEAN and in my opinion Belgrove Hotel is second to one. Of course if you're looking for a luxurious hotel you should book somewhere else. To me everything was fine and I'd certainly come back here next time.

No second pillow available when asked; Not enough tables in breakfast room when busy; My room smelt of cigarettes throughout the night (I think the smell was coming from the shower's ventilation) and I was greeted with a spider IN my bed! The tiny room was fine considering the price of the room. The hotel is less than two minute's walk from King's Cross Station

Strategically located.Only complaint is carrying the heavy suitcase up the narrow flights of staircases & the noise at the wee hours of the morning from the dairy warehouse. Was very convenient for me to collect my train tickets, do some shopping in St. Pancras Station & later catch my train for my onward journey.

Dreadful hotel. Dirty room walls stained and hairs on the floor. Shower room filthy, no mat so the floor became slippery and dangerous. No toilet roll holder and the cistern was wobbly and badly stained where it was leaking. No plug in the sink. Didn't risk breakfast as I just wanted to get out. The worst hotel that I have ever stayed in.

I was surprised with the shabby old room. The toilet did not flush and I really had to try hard.. Even in London and even in this nice location, I cannot accpet this price with this room. I was offered a room on the ground floor and it was like a prison.

Very good value for money. Hotel is very accessible, with bus stop and underground just a short walk away. Room was small but well-equipped. Towels and basic amenities provided. Service was good and front desk staff were friendly and accommodative. Only a very short walk away from the British Museum and Tottenham Court Road. Highly recommend this hotel for people looking for good access to central London at good rates.

I think that the relationship between price and quality is correct. For 75 pounds for a twin room, you have an excellent breakfast and facilities around the hotel as is the Underground 50 meters from the front desk, that way you can go anywhere in London. If you arrive by train even better because from the train you will go directly walking to the room and then to discover London.

I spent two nights at BELGROVE Hotel. It's a very poor hotel, with a very poor service, small rooms, cleanliness of the rooms not satisfactory and a breakast very miserable. The only good thing it's the position in London: very close to the King's Cross UG Station, where different lines join.

Nell'immediato circondario trovate negozi, bar e zone ristoro.

Good access to station, nice staff and reasonable price. Seems OK basically. BUT the room I stayed had lots problem-shower room smells really musty, heating was broken, and later a kettle and a lamp got out of order. (If you want to change the room, you should tell them before 11AM or they don't) On the other hand, the room my friend stayed was newly reformed and really clean! If I were there, I've been really satisfied with this hotel! You should ask them for a new, clean room..like room 17 or 18.

Hotel Belgrove is by far the worst hotel I've ever seen! I wouldn't recommend anyone to stay at this hotel. This hotel shold be shut down. It's not clean, the rooms were small and cramped, the blankets on the bed were old and DIRTY, the walls were dirty and cracked, there was garbage in the hallway, garbage was used as a door stop, the showers were so small anyone over 5"5' wouldn't fit, the windows didn't lock, there was a door to the outside courtyard that didn't lock and would fly open during the night, and the staff was RUDE!The hotel was dirty and looked nothing like the pictures provided. I reserved 2 rooms, and on the first night one of them was so dirty 6 adults slept in one room together! There was a stinky bag of garbage and old food from the previous guests left in the night stand of our room, and when we asked that our room be cleaned the staff had an attitude and removed the bag of garbage and left. He told us he would have the maid clean our room in the morning! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!

This is not an experience I'd like to repeat anytime soon. The room was dusty, with torn wallpaper and no way to lock the window. "en-suite" you say? Well, if you like to have the shower in one place, the sink in another, and the toilet, which felt more like an indoor outhouse, in the third. There is no ventilation for the shower, so there is mold in every corner, reminding you of an ancient wine cellar. When choosing the hotel, I chose this one partly because it promised a continental breakfast, whereas it served an english breakfast. Maybe not an issue for many, but I'm not particularly fond of a fried breakfast every day.

i have almost always stayed in 2-star-hotels in my life but this was the worst.the room was incredibly small, dirty and uncomfortable. the bathroom was not a real one: it was divided into 2 parts and the shower was in a box without even the smallest shelf to put the soap on, and without a hook for hanging a towel. we had to get out of the shower and go inside the room to get the towel, and we kept the soap or the shampoo bottle in our hands while showering, or we should have left everything on the floor...can you imagine? in the part of the bathroom where the toilet and the sink were, there was no socket at all. the carpets were dirty and detached.the wall paper was stained, old and torn. there was no lamp next to the beds. the windows have never been fixed and the air was coming through them all the time when closed. the heating system was either at 50 celsius degrees and it was not possible to breathe in such a small space or completely off and it was freezy. the hot water was missing a couple of times. the overall aspect was awful, even for the worst budget hotel. i can say it was a half star hotel, or not even a "hotel". the staff was not bad, especially the two girls, but they must receive very low wages because they don't seem to be motivated, they even seemed to tired to say hello sometimes.one of them let us see 2 rooms at the arrival but both were awful: we had no choice. the most terrible thing was that we could hear every single noise and word from the room upstairs: we could not sleep for a couple of days. i'll never forget that. also, breakfast was limited in choice and i still must understand what oranges are used for the juice! the tea was bad quality and the eggs seemed to be the only edible thing - but not everyone loves having eggs at 8am...the jam was just one flavour. no choice at all. and it was put in a container where the previous customers picked their jam from...the breakfast personnel was unkind and i never heard a "hallo" from them. i forgo

Overall the Hotel was exactly what we expected in terms of location, comfort and service as this does reflect in the price. We came to london for the shaw theatre and for us it was ideally located within walking distance with a good choice of places to eat and drink. As we were staying for one night the traffic noise can be heard but it did not seem to be a problem but if we were staying for more than that therefore this can become a problem if you are a light sleeper. Our observation is that we thought that this hotel could do with a makeover from within and the breakfast seating area needs better planning in regards to seating arrangements in order to properly offer a good service for guests. The staff at this hotel are very courteous and helpful. The reception area could do with a better setup in order to give the hotel the warmth and general professional appearance required. We cannot moan for the price that we paid because we know london hotels can be very expensive.

The rooms were TINY. i had a single room and the room was maybe between 2-3 meters wide. They had no other single rooms at that time, so I was stuck with a room right by the front desk. Also there was no phone in my room. I could hear most of the noise of people passing by in the hallways, and also my room smelt of sausage when they were making breakfast in the morning. The only good thing about my room was that I had a bathroom to myself. Only come here if everythingelse in london is booked, and you have no desire to stay in a hostel. This is only slightly better than a hostel.

We didn't have breakfast at the hotel because it didn't look good at all. Very good location, but quite some noise from the traffic. Very close to Kings cross station. Kings Cross is also a choice, since many of the lines are running through here. We paid 52 pounds per day (it's about 77 euros!) for a nightmare room. I usually have no problem when I go somewhere, but at the end of my staying I really hated this hotel and I wanted to go away even if I loved London! Let's start from the beginning: 1)The welcoming was: "Hello, this is the key, Bye". A smile never kills anyone, I dare say. 2)The breakfast was enough rich but...disgusting for me! 3)There was dirty and STINKY moquette everywhere. 4)There was no elevator and the stairs were so small that it was VERY difficult carrying our luggage on the first floor. 5)The room is SO small that it was a real problem to walk to the bathroom, to open the window, to open our two suitcases...ect. 6)The pillows, under the white coverage, were DISGUSTING(brown old spots...)! 7)The shower, that is not in the bathroom but in another mouse trap, was so small that I couldn't wash my feet, without touching the walls or the dirty shower tend. Moreover, I had to put my shampoo and shower gel on the floor because there was anything to keep them anywhere else! 8)I've been 10 night in the Belgrove Hotel and, for two nights, the broken fire alarm woke up us in the middle of the night (3 a.m. and 4.30 a.m.)...the same thing is happened other three times but in the afternoon or in the morning: it was really stressing! 9)I've been in London at the end of november, the weather outside was nicely cold (about 12-14 degrees) but in our room...it was like HELL!!! We had a small thermometer that signed 35-38 degrees!! I let you imagine how parfumed was the moquette in our room with that hot air. Then, we couldn't buy anything to eat that it went bad in few hours and, most of all, as soon as we opened the window to refresh our room, McDonald stinky air came in our small hell. Believe me, it was the worst hotel I have ever been in.

for those travelling to london i would recommend this hotel all fairness its very clean a lovely cooked breakfast straight opposite kings x and st pancras . my only problem was no tea/coffee facilities in the room and the shower could be one minute hot and the next cold and with little pressure all in all to be fair for 40 a night in a single room it was very very good and would not hesitate to recommend it or stay thre again.

Small room, with tiny toilet and shower. There was some fungi on the shower ceiling. Furniture looks old and battered. No soap, no shampoo. The only plus point this hotel has is it's location close to Kings Cross and Pancrass station and the metro. It's reasonable cheap but even in London you can find better hotels for the same price.

I recommend this hotel. It is located VERY close to the Kings Cross Underground, and therefore you have both central London and Camden town close to your hotel. It not fashionable at all, but well worth the money. Small but quiet rooms. Breakfast with bacon, eggs, white beans, coffee, tea and bread. Better than expected actually. We were two friends going there, and it suited us perfectly. If you are travelling with kids, I do not think I would recommend this hotel to you.

I liked my stay at this hotel, the rooms may not be big but if all you want is a room to sleep and use as a base point in London at a good price then this is the hotel for you. The staff have been exelent on both my visits.

Unfortunately, London is the most expensive city to visit, so there is no way one can get a hotel that I would consider a "good relationship between price and quality." That being said, the room was sufficient and very close to King's Cross. They also had a decent hot breakfast complementary with the room. If your goal is to just have a place to crash while in London, this place will certainly do, just don't expect anything fancy.

This hotel almost ruined our stay in London. Our room was disgusting- the toilet was in a tiny closet, the sink was next to the bed and the shower was in a separate part outside of our door. The toilet and the shower was so gross that it stunk up our whole room. There was no fan and only a window that faced an alley in whcih we had a strange man staring into our window from another building for all three nights. The only good thing about the location was that it was right next to the underground so we had an easy escape. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!

The Belgrove hotel is undoubtedly the worst hotel I have ever stayed in and would strongly recommend that you should not book this hotel for your own safety. Not only was it unclean but it lacked any element of security. Room 33 which my daughter and I were allocated was unclean with wallpaper stripping from the walls and the rooms itself wasn’t secure as there was a large hole and crack in the window plus the window didn’t lock as there was no mechanism and the sash and case mechanism was also faulty, the window itself was adjacent to a flat roof which meant that it could be directly accessed externally meaning we were at risk from potential burglary or worse. Needless to say my daughter and I slept on the top of the bed and did not use the bathroom facilities either which was covered in mildew and had a repugnant smell) as we did not want to catch anything. Room 31 where my husband was staying was no better, but not worse. The room was unclean and the curtains would not cover the whole of the window. The shower room had a soil vent pipe above the shower which clearly looked like it had leaked in the past so he did not use the facilities in his room either. Therefore to sum up the hotel I would say that I am surprised that this has a 2 star and charges that much for undesirable and inefficient rooms. We booked a room in another hotel the next day for £60 a room in the premier travel inn at the docklands and I would recommend it to anyone that visits London.

Good location. literally about 50yards from Underground station. Hotel room itself not lavish nor luxury. But sufficient and modest. Me and my friend're well accomodated during our short break in London.

Hi, I was extremely dissatisfied at my stay on this hotel. I wouldn't recommend this hotel for business executives and travellers who are looking for comfort than price. Even though I think it wasn't worth the price. The first day I entered the room, it was full of smell of cigarettes, bathroom too small and there was construction works going nearby. I could hardly sleep at night because of the noise outside. The breakfast was ok. I tried to change my reservation from five days to two days but they didn't let me change as it was booked by venere so there was no flexibility. Also the manager was not helpful. I regret my mistake for looking for more affordable place than comfort and will never book a hotel from venere.

The room was clean and a clean towel was provided every day. But it was very shabby, small and old. The shower worked but wasn't very easy to use. The beds were comfortable and the sheets clean. Breakfast was very nice and plentiful except for the orange juice (actually, it was squash!) The location is excellent and staff were pleasant.

We would defintely stay here again because its a decent stay at a great location. There is not much on at Kings Cross but its very central. Our rooms above the kitchen meant we woke each morning to the smell of breakfast which could be a problem for some. The real English breakfast was good and plenty but white bread only... The romms were clean, although the wallpaper could use a redo. Shower and toilet in a tiny closet area was quite a funny experience but very large people would have problems. Overall fine for a long weekend.

A Perfect hotel if you are just looking for a place to sleep(double bed is quite small)and are satisfied with English breakfast. Service is adequate except for the irritating night watch at the reception who keeps every night asking: "Please pay", while I thought it is custom to pay your bill when you leave. But why we did like this hotel is because it's almost opposite a major crospoint Kings cross and you are in no time all over London. Camden town and Upper street are just at a walking distance and if you arrive at Liverpool station it is only five stops away with the subway.

I think it's a good place to stay for some days. The only problem is the dimension of the rooms, they are small but clean and with everything necessary. The price includes the breakfast, that is good ( bacon and so on but also bread wuth marmelade).

I paid 40 pounds a night to stay in a dingy, mold-ridden ashtray of a room. I had to shower over a toilet with cold water. Later during my trip, I stayed at a very nice hotel in London for a few pounds more. The Belgrove provided perhaps the worst room I have ever rented. The toilet ran all night keeping me awake, and I got crab lice from the bed.
