Hotel Samba - Lloret de Mar

Reasonably priced in a quiet area away from main town and clubs but only 5 minutes walk away. Excellent value for money, breakfast was a large buffet with good choice but an overall feeling of mild disorganisation

Always a good deal at the samba

Raccomandatissimo!!! Davvero ottimo in rapporto qualità-prezzo. Situato a metà tra le due spiaggie principali (Playa de Lloret e playa de Fenals). Struttura bella e organizzatissima, personale disponibilissimo. Piscina grande e godibilissima. Nella hall c'è addirittura lo sportello bancomat. Stanze pulite e ben rifinite. Unica piccola pecca la connessione wi-fi accessibile solo dalla hall e non dalle stanze. Ma poco male. Tornerò sicuramente a LLoret e altrettanto con certezza risiederò ancora all'Hotel Samba.

Reception personnel and some waiters not very friendly. Breackfast excellent, dinner very poor. High season: hotel full with international mass tourists...

It was a excelent stay. We had a great holliday. Every thing went super, the check in we could eat in the hotel that was now problem the facilities around the hotel were just great. Sow I would say untill next year Greetings Rob Hermans Holland

Waouh ! What a bad surprise we had ! Despite the low quality of the hotel, the 5th floor being totally renewed while we were there, workers were very noisy from 9am to 5pm. No time to rest at all. The food was very poor and we left more tired than when we arrived ! Of course the price is low but don't try to understand why !

The room was fine, light bulbs needed changing but once reported at reception were seen to promptly. The website says you can check out at 12:00, but I think the chambermaid was telling us 10:00 - difficult as she was Spanish speaking only. No waiter service from the bar and no smoking in the bar. Breakfast finishes at 10:00 on the dot and food was mostly lukewarm or cold. No tea or coffee making in the room, and soap was the only accoutrement in the bathroom.

This was the first time I stayed at Hotel Samba although I've stayed in LLoret in other hotels several times. I was very pleased with just about everything at Samba. It was very comfortable and the room was spotlessly cleaned (like new) every morning while I had breakfast. The staff at reception are efficient, polite and friendly. I booked as a single traveller and was given a double room to myself with a large balcony with sea view. Breakfast is buffet style and includes hot and cold. The hot breakfast, while adequate, wasn't the tastiest I've ever had but for the price it would be churlish to complain. The guests while I was there were mostly English and German, they all looked happy and comfortable. The upstairs bar/lounge is spacious and entertainment is cabaret/ballroom style. The downsairs bar is very cosy and is disco/sport/quiz style. Something for everybody. The pool is large and very clean with sunbeds for everybody. The only gripe here is the amount of flies which eventually forced me to head for the beach. The area around the hotel is excellent for English speaking pubs and discos, it's easy to find a quiet spot if that's want you want. Down the road in LLoret it's more hectic but there's still something for everybody. I paid £187 for a week at the beginning of September and it was worth every penny. I would definately stay there again.

The rooms are advertised as air-conditioned; however, none of the rooms on my floor were. The staff at the front desk was not very friendly and I watched them have disagreements with several costumers during the two days I spent there.
