Hotel Ariston Livorno - Livorno

Livorno isn't the nicest place of the world...so does its hotels.

A very welcoming owner. Offered us an espresso on arrival. A no frills hotel, but a very enjoyable stay.

It met my standard. advice: make sure that your rooms are reserved.

The only thing that was good was the view out the window! The room was small, it was noisy as you can hear other guest entering and leaving their rooms. The bathroom was dim and felt unclean. The breakfast was so bad that I didn't eat it after the first day! I would not be recommending this hotel to anyone!

I was very pleased with the hotel. Very friendly service, great location and reasonably priced. The bathroom was not in the best condition, but overall I recommend the Ariston to travellers looking for decent quality in the 3 star category.

Nice hotel in the very center of the town of Livorno; free parking in front of the hall; very kind property.

Nuit étape entre Florence et Corse; aucune difficulté parking, très bien situé dans le centre ville ( proximité commerces, restaurants, port ); un peu de bruit du à la circulation.

2 cups of coffee were really good, typical italian!!!

Far to expensive for the quality level. There are only 40 cm between the wall and the wash-hand basin so it is impossible to lean over the bassin for the spanks touch the wall. Never seen that before ! Moreoever the breakfast is servet only at 7 30 so to late for all the people who take the ferry. They do it on prupose... We have been very satisfied with other hitels through Venere but you should not represent this hotel.

Disinterested service and very basic rooms, hardly the 3 star accommodation claimed. Has the benefit of being close to the ferry terminal but the daily rate charged did not represent value for money.

Only for one night nothing to see around difficult to find correct restaurant

Hotel ariston was a charming hotel our room overlooked a small fishing harbour where there were a number of restaurants. if you have young children it would be best to ask for a room on the 1st floor

I have stayed at the Ariston in Milano a number of times and the comparison is like day and night. The Ariston in Livorno was a great disappointment and I would not recomment it to anyone.

This hotel was very well situated for travellers in transit. Ideal for taking the ferries out of livorno. Hotel owner, and front desk employee Luciano, were very friendly and helpful with directions etc. Easy access to Pisa. Hotel not as nice as internet shows, odd elevator system, but served our needs for one night well.

Nice room for over night.

Good located to stay for one night and wait for the ferries to korsika

People at Hotel were friendly and helpful. The Hotel was quite a good value. The only downside is that the area is rundown a bit but is still convenient to the Ferry and rest of the city. They do like dogs, a good thing.

Piece of junk

There were not any garage for my bike. It was written "parking", but I should have left my bike on the road in front of the hotel, so I couldn't stay there for that night, but I had to pay exactly as I would have slept there.

The Ariston hotel was quite a pleasant experience. We stayed there our first two nigths on a two weeks tour of Tuscany in june 2007. Andrea, the owner of this small hotel, was a wonderful person who, by his charming personality and his fluent English, entertained us and gave us good advice for things to see and to do, not only in Livorno, but also in the rest of Tuscany. Esp. Bolgheri was indeed a wonderful experience! Thanks!

Poor furniture of the room. Noise from the closer rooms. Aisle and common room in disorder because work in progres. The reception attendant excused for the wrong room assigned to us.

If the employee could speak an other language than Italian it will be better or exellent
