Location brilliant! Would stay again just for location. Late bar selection of drinks poor. Breakfast good but frustrating has had to keep waiting for a cup of tea.Our room on the first night was awful on 5th floor very dark and small. Greg on reception was very obliging and moved us to the 1st floor for our 2nd night. The new room was still very dated but 10 times better than the first.

I'll never visit the hotel again. My room was far away, firt up elevator, along a hall, down stairs, in a small door. Had difficulties finding the room first time, and then the key didn't work, had to go back to the reception. The elevator is a nightmare. Met a crying woman on the first flott one morning, she couldn't use the stairs, and had waited for 20 minutres for the lift. She had to send her husband down to try to get the lift to stop at her floor. It's Ok to use the stairs, but not with luggage thorugh doors. The room I had was weel used, you could see the wear an tear on the carpets, on croners and in then bathroom.

Lovely exterior to this historic hotel. Completely let down by everything else about it. Disgraceful cleanliness of rooms. We refused to stay in the first room we were given and the second was not much better. Cleaners left chewing gum around the room and on bed posts. Damp patches all over the ceiling. Poor quality furnishings, horrendous noise from all round the hotel, surrounded by loud karaoke bars. Wee stains in both rooms on the carpets that had not been cleaned in a very long time. Horrible smells wafting around the foyer of the hotel. Incredibly disappointIng hotel.

This is worth a visit for its history. The last place the rich and famous stayed before boarding the trans atlantic liners for USA over a hundred years ago, including the Titanic. The plumbing in my room sounded like it was still on the Titanic for good atmosphere!

Quite strange place, but it has a very good location: it is close to the railstation. It is like to be in an old time. Not much agreable. Small rooms with two internal doors. Quite strange! Besides you have to pay separately for every service.

The room was very small ad smelt very fusty also the rooms looked very old and shabby, wallpaper coming off, bathroom grout dirty and peeling. Went into the leisure facility which was disgusting and smelly and dirty. Tiles coming off, very slippy floors, broken door handles, grout on all tiles brown with dirt, cracked and falling apart, very disappointed as had psychd myself up with the reputation of hotel. Disappointed +++ although i guess you get what you pay for and £48 a night was average although didnt include breakfast. Don't think i'd stay here again unfortunatley.

the price was quite high in comparison to some of the more modern hotels in liverpool. Hotel was in a bad need of a refurb. old fashioned floral look and old stiff windows.

For a 4*** hotel, I was really disappointed. Staff wasn't friendly, the bathroom wasn't clean... the only positive point is that the hotel is well located!

Our room required us to go up 2 floors by lift, walk through a maze of corridors (very confusing) and then go down a flight of stairs and walk through more corridors. There was alift beside our room but it was not in use. Receptionist got us into our room early and the staff were very good throughout our stay but room was badly equiped and old fashioned. Also the only window was high up and we could not see out. There was excessive noise from the street and the fire alarms went off several times during the night. Hotel has potental but needs work. The staff are great and deserve a better hotel!

We were only stayed at the hotel for one night so we did not have an opportunity to try many of the services. We arrived early and the hotel was quite accomodating regarding the holding of our bags until we could check-in later in the day and they also held our bags the following day while we attended the Everton match at Goodison Park

Calidad-precio inmejorable. Situado en el centro de la ciudad y en una zona tranquila y de buen ambiente, tanto el edificio como sus instalaciones se merecen las cuatro estrellas. La habitación un poco pequeña y el trato recibido correcto. Lo recomiendo a todos.

After reading some reviews I was dreading arriving. I was pleasantly surprised that the hotel was in fact a very nice place to say. The rooms were clean and spacious the location must be the best in Liverpool and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Dont let bad reviews put you off thus hotel is excellent. I am definitly going to stay here on my next visit to Liverpool.
