Hotel Residencial Marisela - Lisbon

This was spacious, clean accommodation in a safe convenient location. It was very good value. It is not luxurious but ideal for a traveller on a budget. My room was at the back and so no view but then no traffic noise. Sound does carry through the walls but I was fortunate that it was fairly quiet and had good night's sleep. The furnishings are old and the corridors are gloomy but this didn't matter. I used Parque Metro station and found the Residencial easily. Pingo Doce supermarket was nearby for food. I would stay again.

We wanted somewhere cheap, close to town centre and with private bathroom. and that is excatly what we got. The biggest plus is the location..not on the main road..get off the bus from airport and5min walk to the hotel. in 5min you got metro hat takes you to town centre. You can walk to old part of town in 40min..slow pace. on next street is supermarket open form 8.00till 21.00 and there is all you may need. the communal room is not great..a big old fashined.but it got the computeer with internet with fast broadband. Room is big, but the only window was not going on the outside side of the hotel but the windows of the inside of the property(you see only 3 floors of the house oposite) Sheets have ot been changed not once (we stayed 4 nights) but had new towels when old left on the floor suggesting need for change. The staff did not speak much English but you can have a basic conversation. there is a tv(with eng channels aslo) and fan in the room but there is no glasses or tea/coffe facility which would be beneficial). You can hear everyting through walls and screaming children from tenantes upstairs but it is not awfully disturbing. Overall good place to stay if you can sacrificy quality for price and location! We are satisfied with our stay for what we pay for it.

What you see is what you get. the hotel is old and needs renovation. the rooms are cleaned every day and the friendly staff provides fresh towels and soap every day. tv has got 50+ channels. if you are looking for a place to lay down your head and spend they day outside, it's perfect!

On the positive side Residencial Marisela is a nice old building in a great location in an older part of Lisbon with excellent access to the metro, shops, local cafes and restaurants. The bedding and towels were clean and the room was serviced each day. On the negative side the room I had was badly in need of redecoration and refurbishment including a new carpet to replace the stained threadbear one and properly installed shower with screen to replace the rubber hose and plastic shower curtain. OK for somewhere to put your head down but at 50 euros a night it was not good value compared to Accor/Ibis and similar hotels at 60 euros a night including breakfast. This hotel would be an absolute gem if the owners spent money bringing all the rooms up to an acceptable standard. If it was, I would return without hesitation but not until a major refurbishment.

Wecoming staffs, very clean, spacious room, good shower. I highly recommend this place to anyone and I definitely would come back to this place and 25 euro for single with bath couldn't be better.

Good location( 2 maetro stations nearby). Very frindly staff. Excellent breakfast in Pingo Doce for 2 Euros! We would choose for the next stay too.

On the positive side, they have big rooms and the hotel position is good. On the negative side, our room had bed bugs and sheets with burned holes. I was showed another room as well, which was really stinky. The internet is available though a computer which broke down and thus I was not able to use my prepaid card. The people at the reception were not very knowledgeable (they didn't know the usual price for a taxi, closest pharmacy opened on Sunday (which was actually on a parallel street, close to the hotel), they didn't had maps or transport cards etc.).

Good location,clean,cheap

We were amazed at the value for money this place offered for an ensuite room in a capital city. Rooms had double and bunk beds in each (we were 2 couples). Newly installed bathrooms - no view - just of back of other rooms. Pension is well located just round the corner from the Metro and a Pingo Doce Supermarket with coffee, fresh orange juice, filled roll and a cake for 1Eu 50! Rooms on 3rd floor and no lift so not for the faint hearted but they were quiet and clean.

We got nice room (even two rooms) with even 3 windows to street, but I think that we have luck about it. Some of rooms don't have any outside window... We stay there for 4 nights.

El hotel esta muy bien ubicado, los alrededores son seguros y aunque las instalaciones no son nada bonitas, si te ofrece una buena relacion calidad/precio
