All in all a pleasant stay, Minor technical defects in the bathroom. Our apartment could use a fundamental repair of the toilet and not just some sealing . Spectacular breakfast room, but unnecessary noisy handling of the dishes by the staff.

This march we stayed at Lisboa for a week at Vip Eden. Well, it's a decent, but a bit old hotel, quite okay for aprice we paid. Wonderful central location, but cab't say there was a lot of noise outside. We didn't take breakfasts, thought, they were overpriced.

The hotel room was small but everything was well appointed. We even got a tiny kitchenette with a mini dishwasher. The room was spotless and even though it faced the street therre was no traffic noise. The best part though was that the bus stop from the airport was right at the door and it only cost 3.5 euro on the airport bus. The hop o. Hop off bus stop was just across the road. The terrace was closed for renovations but we went up for a look and the views were stunning. I think the reins are complete now. Lots of shops and restaurants very close by, I will stay there again for sure

Excellent location and the views from the Roof Terrace are amazing. We agree with other reviews - breakfast was disappointing don't bother - there are plenty of bars and cafes to choose from just outside.

The location of the hotel is perfect if you want to live in the centre of Lisbon close to communications and restaurants. We had a very spacious room with kitchenette for a reasonable price. The teracce and swimming pool at the roof is a nice refuge after spending the day in the city. The breakfast is OK, but for that price I would rather recommend to eat at one of the nearby cafes - we liked the baguette shop at Rossio square.

The swimming pool with the great view on the roof top is just amazing!!!! and location is great, very central and easy from the airport. one suggestion: add some mirrors in the bedroom and/or living room, would be easier than having to go to the bathroom while 4 sharing the appartment.

Cleaning is horrible. They don´t give you daily shampoo, soaps, etc. Even if you complain about the cleaness of the room they don´t come to make it!!! There wasn´t water to have a shower in the morning and no lights to make the lift work.We need to come down from the 6th floor carring lots of luggage withouth any help. Choose something better in Lisbon.

My husband and I went to Lisbon to celebrate our first anniversary. We specifically requested a room with a double bed and a view, but the bed was the most important. Upon arrival to the room the view was amazing but we had 2 single beds. Upon stating that this was not what we'd asked for and that we'd like a room change, the man behind the counter was quite rude and snide and informed us that it wasn't possible. He only relented when I informed him we would be checking out and requiring a refund for the remaining days. We were placed in a double room which was fine. The location was amazing and was close to everything, but I wouldn't go here for a romantic get-away. I probably wouldn't stay here again.

I've given VIP Eden a low overall score because the air conditioning was extremely poor. As it was 25C on the streets at midnight & the air conditioning blew out warm air the hotel room was extremely warm which made sleeping very difficult. The hotel is well situated as it's on the airport bus route & should you wish to travel to Sintra the railway station is very close. I would only return to this hotel if I knew that the air conditioning worked properly.

Although a nice property, it is not worthy of four stars. Great location with Metro and Aerobus practically at the front door. Friendly helpful staff. My room was a studio apartment with kitchen facilities and a new large flatscreen tv. Nice rooftop bar and pool.

Hotel was very convenient for sightseeing, public transportation and restaurants. We were given excellent advice by hotel desk about sightseeing. There was a well equipped kitchen with all cookware and dishes needed, as well as a nearby grocery store. The room was quite comfortable for us, traveling with our adult son. The roof terrace and pool had gorgeous views of the city. I can't believe there was another hotel in Lisbon with such value.

The people at front desk seemed lost all the time. You would wait forever to be helped. But I got a room immediately, even that I arrived before check in time. Other people that arrived with me had to wait for the check in time. Maybe knowing that you reserved with Venere push them to go an extra mile. I had this impression in all hotels I went (thru Venere). Wifi was broken in all the hotel but they kept selling wifi cards at 3E/h. I had a call and had to go down to the lobby to answer since they were not able to transfer it to my room. In the room, the carpet and bed cover didn't inspire a clean room. Metro is right in front of the hotel, which helps a lot. The pool is beautiful but small, so when I got there, there was no chair for me so, I left. The view from the pool is great. You can see the whole city. Great restaurants are just across the street. Also a lot of touristic places are easy to access from the hotel.

The swimming pool on the roof is awesome. The kitchenette in the room is very convenient, room and bathroom are spacious. The only thing that should be improved is the competence and kindness of the employees in the reception. First of all, they never replied to my e-mail with quite an important question (and there was no answer on the website), second, when I asked about a specific address in Lisbon a man just told me that he didn't know and that I should go to the tourist office (there have no maps in the hotel or no google maps on their computer?!), third, when I was leaving my luggage after the arrival nobody even asked me for ID. So I guess anyone can enter the storage. This is certainly not the service I expect in the 4* hotel.

I can only recommned this hotel. Perhaps it is not up to the fourth star, but the personnel do their job, the hotel is clean, and in a perfect spot for a reasonable price. Apeartments are particularly handy, as you can bring your own food and drink, and actually feel at home.

Nice frontage of the building, good renovation and transformation into hotel, poor design of each floor (too dark), poor furnishment of rooms. Most important comment: very bad service and arrogant people. Room price announced in the cabinet is from 70 to 250 Euro. The price of 70 Euro is more then enough and even expensive compare to other hotels.

Very beautiful hotel, perfectely located in the heart of Lisbon; it's behind Rossio Square and, in a very short time, you can get to Alfama or Barrio Alto. We're a family of 4 persons and we had a very confortable apartment, clean and very quiet. The breakfast location on the wonderful terrace is fantastic, only the price of breakfast is a little expensive (but near the hotel you can find a lot of nice coffee bars). We recommend this hotel: If we came back to Lisbon, we would choose it again.

Stayed here for 3 nights. Not the best hotel in the world, but not the worst either. Staff were pleaseant and courteous. The location is superb. Metro right outside the door. Bus Connetions nearby. Airport bus acroos the road. Railway station within 100M of the front door. If you are here to see Lisbon, rather than use a hotel and all its facilities, this hotel is a good bet. Could do with some modernisation though, especially the dull and dreary room corridors.

The hotel is situated very nice in Lisbon. But the impression of the property is that it need to be "freshen up"... some more cleaing by the pool and public places would also be good for the impression. How can you dare rate this hotel a 4 star?? It was a 2-3 stars maximum. The worst was the bad quality of the rooms (toilets leeking, air conditioning not working because "too many people in the hotel" as we were told by the receptionist at 3 o'clock in the morning when we couldn't sleep because of the heat...) Very expensive too for what it was! Moreover, informations indicated by Venere.com when we booked were wrong: time of check-in was 3 pm and not 12am. The price of the breakfast was 7,5E instead of 5... Everything went wrong. I don't recommend this hotel, unless it cost 50E but not 95 as I paid

Hotel is surely not a 4 star as proclaimed. Infact it is even worse then 2 star. Most of the furnishing is very old and breaking at most of the places. Space in the rooms is very less. Infact we had to change the room as the furnishings were broken. Without making a noise you cannot get a decent service. Only advantage is that it is in city center. Poor maintenance cannot be defended by even the hotel employees.

The best advantage of this hotel is to be located at the most central place of Lisbon. Other positive points are the architecture of the building (old theater renovated), and the breakfast room at the top of the hotel with a gorgeous view on whole Lisbon. We stay in Lisbon for a quick holiday 3 days (long weekend). The Hotel is in the centre of Lisbon and it's the best placement you can wish. Very near to all attrattive. It's very simple to reach the hotel by catching the AeroBus directly from Airport (3 euro). With the same ticket you can use the Bus,Elevator for 24h. The hotel was clean and the info given by the reception was great. The breakfast is not very great compared to the 5 extra euro requested fot it. Anyway the breakfast rating is 6/7. Summary: If you looking for a Hotel located in the centre, not expensive and easily reachable ... choose this one. Enjoy yourself! Daniele

Hi. We spent 4 days in Lisbon for our first wedding anniversary. Vip Eden offered us an excellent accomodation, quite, polite and so close to Metro Station (Restauradores). It was so easy to visit Lisbon starting from there. The room had also a very good kitchen inside. We reserved a room at 9th floor, because it offers the best view of Lisbon. On last morning we decided to have breakfast outside, on the top of the hotel, close to the swimming pool. We were really surprised to sea a seagull fly down to eat a couple of cakes from our dishes! Vip Eden will remain in our heart and, if we'll come back to Lisbon, we'll book again a room in it.

In an excellent location to reach the essential parts of this lovely city, I found this hotel to be both accomodating and convenient. My room had a little kitchen area in which breakfast and coffee were easily prepared. While the staff was slow at times to respond to specific needs (requiring at least two calls for a bottle opener), my overall experience of the hotel was very fine. I certainly would stay here again upon my return to Lisbon.

On the plus side; Fantastic location, right in the heart of Lisbon, metro station outside,7 out of 10 for the breakfast(which cost an extra €5, not bad for an all you can eat buffet).Beside the the main area for bars and cafes. Rooms were clean and bathrooms clean. Fantastic view in the morning from the breakfast balcony, great price. On the down side; small rooms, a bit noisy if you need to open the windows. All in all for the price this is fantastic value and I will stay there again. Just to note, Lisbon really makes an effort to light up it's streets at Christmas time and this made the trip all the more special.

VIP Eden was indeed very good value for money and very well located. It's roof area and pool are a huge asset. The only disappointment was that we couldn't park nearby and noone helped us with our luggage which at the end of a long trip in a new city is an appreciated service. A helpful doorman/concierge would have very good. It is worth noting that we did not find VIP Eden in any accomodation lists because they only listed 'hotels' not 'aparthotels'. We only found it because it was part of a travel description of the Plc da Restauradores - because of its architecture.

Spacious well equipped room with great views of the city - if you are on an upper floor. Lovely art deco building in superb central location and large roof top terrace and pool. Apart from a non-functioning remote for the tv it's difficult to come up with a gripe about this place. Will certainly stay here again necxt time we are in Lisbon.

The hotel is centrally located, within walking distance to sites and public transportation. The staff was friendly, and the room was very cosy. I would definitely stay there again.

Excellent location, helpful staff, great hotel. Only one bad point and that was that the bar was closed in the afternoon.

Really nice place to stay, in the center . Breakfast (buffet) for 5 euros/p.and splendid view. The bar on the top was not open on the evening(but beginning of may so early in the season). Trés bel endroit au centre ville. Magnifique vue depuis le toit. Personnel trés agréable.

This Hotel is could not be in a better location with easy access to buses, trains, trams and metro. Plenty of eating places and bars close by. We found the hotel staff extremely helpful and the room size was adequate for two persons. The room has a small kitchen with cooker, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, toaster and kettle. Rooms on the ninth floor also have balconies. A room safe is also provided free of charge. Best of all is the hotel roof terrace complete with a small swimming pool and stunning views over Lisbon. If you are looking for a reasonably priced hotel in the heart of Lisbon you will find this one hard to beat.

This is a marvelous hotel! It could not be better situated. Management and service are top drawer. My only complaint: I didn't like finding a condom wrapper from a previous guest under the bed. The rooms were otherwise spotless. Breakfast offering should include real orange juice and muesli, like other hotels. I would definitely return to Vip Eden!
