I liked the hotel and its location very much. However, I missed the services of a concierge because I had a few questions such as how to go to a place and where to rent a car etc. When I asked these questions from the reception desk I got "polite answers" but the feeling was like the man could hardly stand me with all my unnesessary questions which, he obviously felt, were not related to his work at all.

Great hotel with a perfect location. Near shops and restaurants. The hotel also has a great restaurant. Friendly, competant staff. Rooms very nice. You can walk to many locations in the city from their central location. Taxi and buses right outside the door. Highly recommended.

I thought this hotel was as good as any 4 star I have stayed in. Location is excellent ...maybe a 8 to 10 min walk to the very heart of town. I paid only E118 for each of 4 nights in April 2009. Don't confuse this hotel with the adjacent Tivoli..there is no comparison. Guys, women will be very happy with your choice given the upscale feel and cleanliness ! I avoided breakfast in the hotel which was overpriced...as are most hotel breakfasts. Rooms are comfortable and quiet and the front-door staff were very helpful in directing me to good dinner spots and a fado session ( expensive but unique). Would recommend hotel highly

Very good personel at the Concierge area. Excelent breakfast buffet. One excellent driver with very good knowledge about the sites visited,recomended by the concierge. We stay there for leisure and it´s very good located for this purposes.

During our stay, there was public works on the water distribution system near the hotel so that during 2 days in the morning there was no water on the 6th floor to take a shower. No information on that problem was given when we complain about it. Employes knew the problem.

Very good hotel, with nice rooms and big hall. Very near the underground station of "avenida" and only ten minute walking from the city center if you don't want to take the underground. Also easy to reach from the airport with the aerobus: aerobus stop is only 200 mt from the hotel! the taxi is useless! The only problem we hadis that we had to pay 6 euros more than what venere told us to do. The rest was excellent. I think is the best in town for tourism. So near the center, to the underground and easy to reach from the airport. If I'll go back to lisboa I'll surely will return there.

How to reach Hotel Tivoli Lisboa

By car
From North of Lisbon or Lisbon International Airport:
Take the Av. Marechal Craveiro Lopes (2ª Circular). Exit at Campo Grande, entering the Alameda do Campo Grande. Pass under Av. da República tunnel, until you reach the Paça Duque de Saldanha. Carry on straight ahead, along the Av. Fontes Pereira de Melo, and enter the large roundabout at Marquês de Pombal. Exit the roundabout on the second right, immediately entering the side lane, which runs parallel to the Av. da Liberdade. The Tivoli Lisboa will be on your right, four blocks down, Av. da Liberdade 185.
From Vasco da Gama bridge:
Follow directions to the Av. Marechal Craveiro Lopes (2ª Circular) and then continue as indicated above, for Lisbon International Airport.
From South (A2) Algarve via the 25 de Abril bridge:
Exit where you see the sign Town Centre, towards the Marquês de Pombal roundabout. Go straight ahead, up a hill and down again until you reach Rua Joaquim António de Aguiar (going down after a tunnel) until the last set of traffic lights, before the Marquês de Pombal roundabout. Take a sharp right and then immediately turn to your left and enter the side lane in Av. da Liberdade. The hotel will be on your right, four blocks down, Av. da Liberdade 185.
