Hotel Sete Colinas - Lisbon
Avenida Almirante Reis 67 - Lisbon
877-662-6988Well connected by public transport, the Sete Colinas 2 star hotel is perfect for people travelling on business or willing to explore this amazing Portuguese city. Lisbon offers fabulous attractions, such as the Mosteiro dos Jerónimos (Monastery of the Hieronymites), dating 1502 and declared World Heritage site by the UNESCO. This monastery also stands close to the Lisbon harbour and also near the famous Tower of Belém, and these two represent Lisbon's most visited attractions.
The Sete Colinas Hotel offers a variety of services, such as wireless Internet access throughout the building, tourist information and a safe in reception, and a terrace, to name a few.
The hotel is like the people of Portugal, hard appearing, you sit on the bus with a stone faced woman sitting next to you a cold dourly continence and as she gets up...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The staff were helpful and very friendly. Unfortunately the area was a bit 'run down' - not condusive to venturing out to local restraunts etc except to order a taxi from door to door but as they are very cheap this was not a big problem.

We spent 5 days in Lisbon. Very friendly and helpful staff ! Clean and nice room, good breakfast. Excellent location - metro station is 10 m from the hotel. The hotel is a straight shot from the airport and taxi was 7,5 Euros! We highly recommend Sete Colinas.

The hotel is like the people of Portugal, hard appearing, you sit on the bus with a stone faced woman sitting next to you a cold dourly continence and as she gets up to leave you say bye and as if by magic her whole demeanor changes and radiates a great smile and a "bye bye" as she happily departs. the hotel is the same, a plain sliding glass door under a marker "HOTEL SETE COLINAS" set in the side of a building, but upon entering the whole picture changes into a warm and pleasing welcome from Paulo the man that runs the place and insures your comfort. The rooms although not large have all the "c's" comfortable, clean, cossey and accommodating. In this hotel everything works. The only justifiable reason for not staying at the Sete Colenas is that you were to slow to reserve a room and none were available. To finish off my rant I will let you in on the secret across the street the Turkish Kebab snack shop where a delicious pita sandwich fills you up for les than 5€, oh! yes and by the way I recommend the Sete Colenas Hotel. The free shampoo will not wash your whole family and the safe is built into th closet and the fruit might be ripe but it is all good I liked it!

I really liked this hotel: quiet, friendly staff, good and big room, balcony, and the price was compared to that low! It is 15 minutes walking from the center, so not too far.

Very friendly, helpful and competent staff - excellent! Clean and nice rooms, though a bit noisy with open windows if on the street side. Good breakfast (only fruits were too unripe). Excellent location - metro station 20 m from the hotel, center of the city less than 2 km - walking distance, a couple of nice shell-fish restaurants nearby.

The staff and room design are nice and cute. We are very happy to stay in there. The only pity thing is that the shampoo is very little and the room is a bit small as well. Most of all is quite good! We will recommend it.

The young man running the place every day for in incredible appr. 16 hours per day made the difference. Patient, kind and attentive! Rooms were OK, small, bed very good, windows soundproofed and the airco did a good job. No safe locker. Clean small bathroom with shower. Metro station right in front, a few minutes and we were in town. Lisbon is like a grand old lady with lots of wrinkles and wearing a faded dress. Charming in many places, dirty and worn down in others. Hotel Sete Colinas offers value for money, kindless and a quiet place to sleep well after a day full of impressions.

I stayed 4 night, but I would have liked to spend my other 10 Lisbon's nights at Sete Colinas, if only they could have arranged a flat rate between 35-40; which I understood was impossible in June! The staff is absolutely prepared to cater any need of their guests in different languages. The breakfast is fully worth the average room's price [50-60]. The Wi-Fi connection was real, fast and stable. What I loved the most is that Sete Colinas is located near everything worth to visit in Lisbon: either by nice walk [10-40 min], or buses and metro connections. For large space lovers could be a little sacrifice: this is a comfortable, but small hotel! I will be looking forwards to their next offers to possibly take advantage for a longer staying.

This was a very nice place and the price was definitely right. The front desk staff was very nice and helpful. The location was pretty central, although it was a 10-12 minute walk to the city center or 2 stops on the metro. One great thing was the the hotel was literally steps from the metro! Breakfast was included and was pretty good for a hotel breakfast, but do expect anything hot - its strictly continental. Rooms are compact, but they have everything you need to be comfortable including a good selection of TV channles. We would definitely stay here again!

Our room was very clean--maid service & clean towels each day. We so enjoyed sitting on the balcony on our room in the evenings. The desk staff were more than helpful. The breakfast is simple, but plentiful. Location of the hotel is fabulous--the Metro station is literally right outside the door and the #28 Tram (which goes to all the historic places)is about a block away. If we are ever lucky enough to return to Lisbon, we will stay at the Sete Colinas!!

Nice service with complete breakfast..when I stayed by the end of February, the weather was hot and sunny : we could have breakfast on the terrace... rooms were very ok, wifi access, metro just in front of the hotel, at 5-10 mn from the city center. I've seen int this hotel young people from everywhere. When I return to Lisbon, sure I'll book again at Sete Colinas.

The hotel service is excellent. The hotel is located in the Anjos Metro station and network provides connection to the main points of Lisbon. The neighboring area of the hotel is problematic (prostitutes and junkies) in the late night hours arounf the Intendente Metro stop, so if you can avoid that part or just passed with metro.

All the staff we met were very friendly & helpful, especially the guys on reception. The location of the hotel is very convenient for the metro, walking into the city centre is also quick and straightforward. Breakfast was very good. Our room faced the street so there was some traffic noise even with the windows closed, but it didn't keep us awake.

We stayed in Lisbon for five nights and enjoyed staying at Sete Colinas. It was a bit of a walk to get to most points of interests, but the metro station was right outside the hotel and getting a 24-hour metro pass was really helpful. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. The breakfast was also better than any other we had in Europe! We would definitely stay there again.

Sete Colinas is modern, clean and although not in the Alfama as indicated by Venere; it is in a location that, due to excellent public transportation & a metro entrance at it's door, is literally 2 minutes from all prime neighborhoods. The area is borderline; but I wouldn't call it unsafe. There is free WIFI; but if you didn't bring your laptop; there is an Internet shop around the corner that's very inexpensive (.50 Euro for a 1/2 hour)with friendly staff. Speaking of which, the staff at Sete Colinas were fabulous. The day crew, especially Claudia, speak excellent English; and one and all are warm, eager to help and friendly. Claudia's sense of humor is dry and we love her! Breakfast offerings were tasty and of good variety, but the tea was Lipton's* & the coffee could have been stronger. (To be fair, we found no good tea offeings at hotels in Portugal.) About 5 blocks away is a great traditional restaurant, Portugalia. What else? OH! the hotel is a straight shot from the airport and under 10 Euros! Can you tell we liked our stay?!

It was a second time that we have stayed at this hotel. The first time the room was larger. We are always very satisfied, but this time there were some details that could be improved. In the bathroom there was a broken towel support and the shower gel and shampoo were not replaced.

A nice place. Our double room was very comfortable and the bathroom was spacious, functional and clean. The breakfast is of good quality and the staff is very kind and efficient. As to the location, when you go out of metro station you almost fall into the hotel entrance door: it is very easy to go everywhere by public transportation.

Good welcoming at night, desk manager is cool. On the contrary, employees in the morning (breakfast) have lost their smile. Cleaning staff is a disaster : room was not clean at arrival, and employee failed to make it during the journey. Very unpleasant attitude. In conclusion : check carefully the room, make sure you have one on the back of the building, not too close from elevator, check the sheets (and especially under the sheets) and watch for the smells in the bathing room. We recommend the restaurant "Os Amigos" not too far, very good fish food and reasonable prices.

Special commendation for Paulo in the front desk. He was very earnest and always willing to go out of his way to make our stay as perfect as possible. Best thing about the location was the fact that the subway entrance was literally at the front doorstep of the hotel. So convenient!! The free Wi-fi in the rooms was also very much appreciated. We loved the way the old building was retrofitted with very modern interiors and facilities while still retaining the old-world grace of its' facade. The only thing I could ask for are slightly bigger shower stalls :-)

1. Breakfast should be a bit more varied from day to day. Coffee should taste better. Non- or low-fat milk should also be offered. Some nuts or other source of non-animal protein would also be welcome. 2. The staff was helpful, but did not provide the best maps of the city -- those containing bus routes, especially -- until several days into our stay. Also, certain tourist information and brochures were not available in English when we arrived. It's not obvious to the first-time Lisbon visitor that the city is a series of major peaks and flat areas, and that to navigate them successfully requires a knowledge of not only the Metro, but the buses, "elevators" and funiculars. This information would have been enormously helpful to have had explained by the staff, but we had to discover it on our own. 3. It was not explained to us that we could keep our "day pass" Metro and bus cards and reuse them the next day. This caused us to spend some money that we didn't need to spend. The staff should provide this information, too.

A fantastic bargain. situated next to the metro stop, but in a quiet neighborhood, with cheap and good restaurants nearby. The room was big and relaxing, the people at the reception very helpful, and the breakfast was more than what I would expect. The only minute grievance was you need to put your room keycard in the a slot to have the power on, so I could not leave my laptop charging.

Great value for money, the only minor disadvantage was too small space of the hotel restaurant at the breakfast time during week during weekend it was ok, and small noise of close subway trains.......but it was nothing against great location, high standard of rooms & very friendly hotel staff

The hotel is a step away from Anjos metro stop. It is not 400m as mentioned in some websites. I loved this hotel and i highly recommend everyone who is staying in Lisbon. From the airport, take bus22, then transfer to metro. But taxi is better.
