Hotel Residencial Portuense - Lisbon

Hotel is very close to the centre, close to Metro. Airport Bus Stop. Train Station and plenty of shops etc. You will not get a better deal at their prices for a City Centre, family run hotel. The Breakfast rolls are to die for. Desk staff speak excellent English and are very helpful

We really enjoyed our stay here and would come back again. It is central and a great place to travel in and out of.

No cleaning service somehow. don't know why.

This is a very nice little place and good value. Location is on a street with a lot of little shops but where it gets very narrow and there is little traffic and noise. Yet it is right near two different Metro lines and close to the main part of the city. The hotel day-person is fluent in English and very friendly. The evening person does not speak English too well but is not less friendly. Rooms are small but mine had a foyer area with a little desk and several windows and for the price the value is great. Breakfast is minimal -- rolls, jam, coffee/tea and juice -- but again, my rate was very inexpensive.

Vending machine confusing to use; coffee machine actually operates soda machine! Breakfast simple, but excellent. Location, very convenient. Front desk very helpful with recommendations. Caxemira, Indian restaurant in Praca Figueira,very good, although difficult to find. Upstairs, no sign outside. Ask local vendors as you get closer.

My husband and I stayed at Portuense for 3 days, returning from the Algarve. We loved our stay, the staff was friendly and prompt, offering local information and even guide books to help us through Lisbon. The residence is next to an area of restaurants that can get animated at night but the distance is good enough that we did not have any disturbance yet we were steps away from all kind of inviting eateries. I would mostly recommend the Casa Alentejana, with a beautiful Moorish interior, great service and delicious food. And all at a very good price!

A small hotel with good services. A simple breakfast. Small but adequate room. A very good relation between price and quality!

The area is perfect for a Lisboa visit, very central, very good restaurants, the staff is very friendly. The breakfast room is not inviting but OK. Next time in Lisboa I would stay there!

Wonderful, caring, informative and helpful owner /staff made this a memorable stay. Felt like I was staying with friends. A nice job of combining "modern" features while retaining the ambiance of the historic building and area. Excellent location; felt very safe; clean, comfortable room with modern bath (great shower), AC, TV, phone, a large window that open to the sights and sounds of Lisbon, continental breakfast area that has wifi access. A small gem of a hotel but the real treasure is the owner and his family that make it all work.

A very nice small hotel, perfectly located and worth its price. Nice and helpful staff. I was on a short visit (2 days), on the way back from Azores. I would definitely recommend this place to those who look for a nice and acceptable place at reasonable price.

We had reserved a twin room, but there was only a single room on the list. However, we got a 4-bed room looking at the backyard. We had hoped to have a room towards the street with a French balcony. Excellent breakfast and very friendly personnel. You should inform that the hotel credit card machine does not communicate with the Finnish credit cards. The hotel has an excellent location right in the centre with good connections everywhere. I'd like to come back.
