It's really a nice place... cannot imagine we can live in a Palace, which is really a palace... beyond concept. The environment and the authenticity of the hotel is wonderful, big garden, nice staff. the breakfast room and the garden were very impressive. Only thing is the room is not as superior as I expected, it's just a normal modern hotel room (with our price standar room 234 Euro), and the texi driver was not familiar with that route. Overall, it's a fantastic stay. BTW, a lot of famous people stayed in this hotel also... McDona said "it's my home in Lisbon".

This hotel is an actual palace that is now a hotel with rooms added on to it very nicely on the grounds. The grounds within the palace walls are beautifully kept. The actual area around the hotel was a little bit "off" with graffiti in some places. They had shuttle buses that would take you to tourist areas and drop you off and you could come back by taxi. The service and staff were excellent. Everyone spoke excellent English and were very helpful. The hotel is smart in providing breakfast because there are no nearby places to eat. Overall, a great place. We bypassed one of our days of sightseeing to enjoy this beautiful hotel.

The Palace is a famous hotel in Lisboa and everything was fine. One really perfect fact is, that they let park our motorbikes in the garage overnight for free - a sign for a 5star hotel.

El hotel es un antiguo palacio por lo que sobran las explicaciones sobre la calidad de las estancias comunes y de las habitaciones. El desayuno es muy completo y el servicio en general exquisito. Como puntos a mejorar por el hotel: - Para tostar el pan en el desayuno sólo está disponible un tostador casero ya muy amortizado. - Choca que en el baño continúen teniendo cortinas en lugar de mampara. En cuanto a la información publicada en Venere, en la página mencionan que el parking está incluido y cuando llegas al hotel te informan que es un extra de 17 euros el día. Por el contrario, se aparca fácilmente en la misma puerta del hotel y la zona es tranquila. Por último, el hotel está bastante alejado del centro aunque cercano a la zona de Belem.

Good central location (10 minutes to the centre by taxi), quiet but small room, excellent hotel facilities (gym, pool, spa, bars, resto, internet, free bus connection 4 times a day) but some reception staff need more training as our request (to have a balcony) has been ignored. Surprisingly for a 5 star hotel we received a ripped towel with a big hole. We still had a good stay but will reconsider whether not to stay in a different location for the same price.

Definitely, one of the best experiences I've ever tried. Ancient furniture, paintings, chinoiseries, and, besides, the modern comfort of the spa. A wonderful garden and the warm hug of the staff. Three days in Lisbon, and the opportunity to visit it in the most pleasant way!

After an initial disappointment: the room was twin-bedded (we are a couple + myself being 1.90 tall would not fit such a tiny bed) we were upgraded to a room with a queen-size bed and with also a nice terrace (garden view). The carpets in both rooms present some evident stains, and the beds are rather hard. Great variety of drinks in the fridge, and small snacks. We were welcomed with a bottle of local champagne. The breakfast was excellent (though only until 11am on a weekend, which might disappoint party-goers). Personnel extremely helpful and corteous. Leisure areas small but clean and well kept. Overall: this hotel is an OASIS in Lisbon, the gardens are in fact a marvellous park and it feels like being on some tropical island. It certainly deserves 5-star rating. We therefore recommed it and will certainly stay there again.

The Pestana Palace exceeded my expectations. The hotel is beautiful and the staff are excellent. There are plenty of places to find a quiet spot and in the evening, the Palace comes into its own with numerous rooms in which to sit and have a drink. Taxis are always easy to come by but it is also fun to travel by trams and there is one which stops quite close by the hotel. We had a wonderful stay.

Really a breathtaking journey to early 20th century Lisbon palace architecture. Service is very good and discrete. The gardens are beautiful and facilities are tops. Would definitely stay there every time I visit Lisbon !

The Pestana Palace is an outstanding property. The rooms, common areas, grounds and facilities are luxurious, and the staff is extremely friendly and accommodating.

The rooms are fairly small considering the price. The staff was friendly and accomodating. The property offers a good escape from ultra-urban Lisbon. The public facilities such as the pool and sitting areas are pleasant. The breakfast offered has great variety, and the wait staff were excellent. One complaint is that children and people taking meals were present in the cigar/bar area- which I find inappropriate. Ask for a garden view if possible.
