That's location is very nice and convinience. But a roomkeeper forgot room-maiking one day while I steyed. And there was much dust on the floor. It made me disappoint.

Decent hotel in a good position. Has probably seen better days (the woodwork and carpets etc look rather tired and old) but it was excellent value. Breakfast was good and all the staff were friendly and helpful. It was a pleasant walk to the centre of town where we found lots of great vegetarian restaurants. Take the local bus 44 to the airport from outside the hotel - it saves dragging your cases across the huge traffic circle and only costs 1.45 euros!!

The location was perfect and across the street from the metro. Also just across the street from the Eduardo park where the tours originated. The room was a great value. The breakfast was very good with a large variety for a selection. Highly recommend this hotel.

I would have expected more from a 4 star hotel - there was no kettle in the room, the safe was a money-pinching 2 euros a day and I was unable to get warm air from the air con when it was quite chilly at night. Breakfast plates and dishes kept running out and the reception were not very knowledgeable about local activities.

The hotel was excellent value for money and in an ideal situation, next door to the metro, across from the Tour of Lisbon bus tour terminus and on the main ave. into the centre of Lisbon which is only a 10min walk. Although I have no complaints it is a 4 star hotel but preferred it's sister hotel next door, the Fenix Garden which is only a 3 star. Excellent breafast, and quiet rooms. Would recommend this hotel.

Excellently located hotel, very close to Metro, Aircoach stops and buses. "Free to use Internet cafe" next door to hotel. Very good breakfasts. All staff were helpful and very competent. Unfortunately we were there in very hot weather and the airconditioning was out of action for the first two nights of our stay but worked most effectively for the remainder of the week. Draught beer would be a welcome addition to the hotel bar. We were most happy with the Fenix and will certainly stay there if or when we visit Lisbon again.

Per arrivare in centro ci vogliono 10 minuti a piedi. L'hotel è piacevole, colazione completa e personale qualificato.

We thought the hotel was a perfect place to stay. Right outside the front door is a metro stop, with access to all the places you want to visit. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The quitness of the room "only" gets 8 because some of the 6 days I spent there was disturbed a bit by an air-filled pig standing right outside the hotel. It was an advertisement for a company (not the hotel). The compressor making sure that the pig was standing made the noise.

Hotel Fenix is a lovely hotel. The only complaint we have is that when we added an extra night to our stay, the price was very high compared to our other nights. We were told the reason the price was higher was that it was not booked on the internet. Apparently a stay of previous 4 nights did nothing to qualify as a special customer. Perhaps the Fado recommendations should be scrutinized. We were disappointed at the price and quality.

The hotel is good, as structure. But we are critical on the staff: just the staff of the restaurant is nice and friendly, but there have been problems with the reception staff. At the check-in they were not friendly, and they gave us wrong informations about telephone costs with international telephone cards, because they were on the hurry. At the check out they pretended hundreds of euro for phone calling, by the room, that we did with that card. Every people there just wanted that money without listening our help demands. We waited there 3 hours while, after our refusal to pay, just one person (the only one at the reception more helpful) helped us to solve the problem, and to understand the mistake. The reception staff had been few communicative during all our period there, when we asked them info about places where to eat too. we will not stay there again just for this: staff unpleasant and not professional.

In the first night we've got a room quite noisy. Upon request the room was changed with a much more spacious and quite room. The service in general were good and the personal was kind or very kind. The only problem that we had at the breakfast was with the coffee - but as most of the people like it[as I noticed there] maybe we were the problem!

Alles in Allem: Eine gute Empfehlung!

We had to change the room after a couple of days due to noise from construction work in a new building next to the hotel. It was lots of noise from machines from the same floor and from the outside. What we didn´t like at all was that we were not told about the noise in advance when we arrived. And when we informed about the noise after a couple of days, the personel in the hotel reception could not tell whether the contruction work (from 08.00-20.00) would stop during the weekend or not. Of course they knew - or should know! As the work continued on Saturday, we changed room. The new room was nice and quiet! But beware that the construction work will continue the next months, and all guests that are situated on the back side of the hotel building, will be heavy affected!

The room i got was much smaller that the one of the same time shown in the internet. I found the employees a bit cold and not really interested in what i was asking. Then, a 4 stars hotel should provide a safe (There is an oral tradition to understand how to use it!) without additional costs. The location is very good for a business and/or touristist stay

English: Hi, if you wish to visit Lisbon for 2-3 days this hotel is the best solution. 4 star hotel at a very good fare. Metro and bus to the center are extremely easy to use and very accessible. Fantastic break-fast, you can skeep lunch. Don't miss visiting the Ocenarium, is great. Saluti Stefano e Irina

I had a wonderful stay in Lisboa. The hotel was a very pleasant surprise: very well situated, clean, spaciouos, excellent value for the price. The staff was very helpful, curteous and ...just right: not less than expected, but not more than necessary. Breakfast was good, fresh, with a variety of options. The rooms were cleaned daily and in terms of noise - I had no complaint: when closed, the windows blocked all of the city noise. I would really reccommend this hotel. In fact, Venere is a very helpful site to me. I use it for 2 years now in all of my travels. I have booked through Venere: Florence, Barcelona, Switzerland tour and now Lisbon. It gives me detailed info related to the accomodations available and price levels in the respective market. Also, while surching for the best hotel, I get a bit of orientation and idea of the place I'm planning to visit. I think it is a great website: Thank you Venere. I also thank Fenix Lisboa Hotel for making my stay in Lisbon a memorable one.

We stayed in a room at the front of the hotel, during a heatwave, leaving us with a choice of having the windows open - and tolerating the traffic noise - or turning the slightly noisy air-conditioning up full. I recommend requesting a room at the back. The restaurant is excellent, with a very good buffet breakfast included in the price and an excellent range of French and Portuguese cuisine available at dinner time. The hotel is very central and right beside a metro station.

This was an average hotel. For the price it was OK but the overall impression was one of disappointment. Small, smoke smelling room. The building - despite renovation - still looks outdated. No pool but a nice outdoor area with sofa lounges. The restaurant is busy but the buffet breakfast rates very well. Front desk service OK. A 15 minute walk to most areas of Lisbon this hotel is easy to find but a way from any basic shops and attractions. Some internet facilities are available.

Il traffico davanti all'hotel è intenso (Pr.

I stayed at the hotel Fenix on two seperate days when I arrived in Lisbon and on my departure from Lisbon. My first night was excellent the room was great, spacious and clean. On my last night the room was alot smaller and I noticed dirt on the bathroom floor and on the walls, and also the tv kept shutting off. I should have asked for a different room, but I was very tired. If the hotel would have been accommodating to my request for a different room. I don't know. My fault. Overall, location and facalities were good.

This hotel allows smoking in the dining room. So if you like smokers sitting next to you at breakfast or dinner and their smoke drifting across your food, table and breathing space then do not stay here! There is not even a non-smoking zone set aside. The bar is full of smoke at all times as well. Otherwise the rest of the hotel is good!
