A big, comfortable room (basic room), excellent location of the hotel (Metro station opposite the entrance, several bus stops, night buses).Small disadvantages: no socket in bathroom (no possibility to use your own equipment like a hair straightener or a shaver),only one very small garbage bin in bathroom, no other at room), rather monotonous breakfasts (every day the same)but tasty, very slow WI-FI, no relaxing places. Our room was located near to the hotel bar, so it was loudy at evenings. Professional staff! The best location in Lisbon for an intensive sightseeing!!!

The location is a little away from the very City Center but if you like to walk it is fine. Staff is fiendly and helpfull. Our superior room (to the back of the hotel) was nice, but our sleep was disturbed by the noise from the aircondition system even if not turned on in our room. Breakfast was good, but evening meals at the bar restaurant (the only rstaurant) were poor, so go to the city instead.

The hotel is near a underground stop -15 minutes from the airport. Our room (smokers) was very nice (maybe, furniture needs to be partially renewed) and spacious. Breakfast is the best: there is a very big choice of food of very good quality!

Very good hotel, in central location, close to metro and bus services, 10-15 mins walk from the center. Friendly staff. Breakfast was nice with a good choice of meals. We had problem with wifi at first night of arrival, but it was fixed within 10 mins after being reported to reception staff. We had a room on 1st floor facing the Marques Pombal square, but the window was soundproof, so no problem with nightsleep.

We stayed 3 days at Lisbon after a week at our summer house near Portalegre. The Hotel was located perfectly near every possible tourist attractions to visit. We used Metro to go faraway places but mostly walked everywhere. Lisbon was great and the weather was fine as well. Breakfast buffet was great too. And the taxi to Airport was only about 10 euros, that's cheep.

We chose this hotel for a 3 night city break in Lisbon based on its good review scores, and we were not disappointed! It is ideally located close to the Aerobus drop off (10 mins from the airport) and has a metro right outside. The sightseeing tour buses all stop at the lay-by nearby. The hotel itself is cool and spacious, with restaurant and bar snacks inside and BBQ on the terrace if you prefer to dine outside. The staff are brilliant - warm welcomes and smiles at all times, but also really helpful and professional. Top marks! The rooms are functional and comfortable with good beds, a room safe and air/con included, and everything works! We had a balcony with fabulous views over the city at no extra cost. The breakfast buffet (€3.50 if not included) is a self-serve feast with cold meats & cheese, fruit, cereals, hot eggs/bacon etc, rolls, cakes and unlimited coffee (nespresso), tea and fruit juices. The gift shop deserves special mention - a small but tasteful selection of souvenirs were offered at really reasonable prices. All in all, this was definitely worth it's four stars, and we would not hesitate to stay here again!

Decent hotel in a good position. Has probably seen better days (the woodwork and carpets etc look rather tired and old) but it was excellent value. Breakfast was good and all the staff were friendly and helpful. It was a pleasant walk to the centre of town where we found lots of great vegetarian restaurants. Take the local bus 44 to the airport from outside the hotel - it saves dragging your cases across the huge traffic circle and only costs 1.45 euros!!

I would have expected more from a 4 star hotel - there was no kettle in the room, the safe was a money-pinching 2 euros a day and I was unable to get warm air from the air con when it was quite chilly at night. The hotel was excellent value for money and in an ideal situation, next door to the metro, across from the Tour of Lisbon bus tour terminus and on the main ave. into the centre of Lisbon which is only a 10min walk. Although I have no complaints it is a 4 star hotel but preferred it's sister hotel next door, the Fenix Garden which is only a 3 star. Excellent breafast, and quiet rooms. Would recommend this hotel.

Excellently located hotel, very close to Metro, Aircoach stops and buses. "Free to use Internet cafe" next door to hotel. Very good breakfasts. All staff were helpful and very competent. Unfortunately we were there in very hot weather and the airconditioning was out of action for the first two nights of our stay but worked most effectively for the remainder of the week. Draught beer would be a welcome addition to the hotel bar. We were most happy with the Fenix and will certainly stay there if or when we visit Lisbon again.

Per arrivare in centro ci vogliono 10 minuti a piedi. L'hotel è piacevole, colazione completa e personale qualificato.

The quitness of the room "only" gets 8 because some of the 6 days I spent there was disturbed a bit by an air-filled pig standing right outside the hotel. It was an advertisement for a company (not the hotel). The compressor making sure that the pig was standing made the noise.

Hotel Fenix is a lovely hotel. The only complaint we have is that when we added an extra night to our stay, the price was very high compared to our other nights. We were told the reason the price was higher was that it was not booked on the internet. Apparently a stay of previous 4 nights did nothing to qualify as a special customer. Perhaps the Fado recommendations should be scrutinized. We were disappointed at the price and quality.

The hotel is good, as structure. But we are critical on the staff: just the staff of the restaurant is nice and friendly, but there have been problems with the reception staff. At the check-in they were not friendly, and they gave us wrong informations about telephone costs with international telephone cards, because they were on the hurry. At the check out they pretended hundreds of euro for phone calling, by the room, that we did with that card. Every people there just wanted that money without listening our help demands. We waited there 3 hours while, after our refusal to pay, just one person (the only one at the reception more helpful) helped us to solve the problem, and to understand the mistake. The reception staff had been few communicative during all our period there, when we asked them info about places where to eat too. we will not stay there again just for this: staff unpleasant and not professional.

We had to change the room after a couple of days due to noise from construction work in a new building next to the hotel. It was lots of noise from machines from the same floor and from the outside. What we didn´t like at all was that we were not told about the noise in advance when we arrived. And when we informed about the noise after a couple of days, the personel in the hotel reception could not tell whether the contruction work (from 08.00-20.00) would stop during the weekend or not. Of course they knew - or should know! As the work continued on Saturday, we changed room. The new room was nice and quiet! But beware that the construction work will continue the next months, and all guests that are situated on the back side of the hotel building, will be heavy affected!

I had a wonderful stay in Lisboa. The hotel was a very pleasant surprise: very well situated, clean, spaciouos, excellent value for the price. The staff was very helpful, curteous and ...just right: not less than expected, but not more than necessary. Breakfast was good, fresh, with a variety of options. The rooms were cleaned daily and in terms of noise - I had no complaint: when closed, the windows blocked all of the city noise. I would really reccommend this hotel. In fact, Venere is a very helpful site to me. I use it for 2 years now in all of my travels. I have booked through Venere: Florence, Barcelona, Switzerland tour and now Lisbon. It gives me detailed info related to the accomodations available and price levels in the respective market. Also, while surching for the best hotel, I get a bit of orientation and idea of the place I'm planning to visit. I think it is a great website: Thank you Venere. I also thank Fenix Lisboa Hotel for making my stay in Lisbon a memorable one.

We stayed in a room at the front of the hotel, during a heatwave, leaving us with a choice of having the windows open - and tolerating the traffic noise - or turning the slightly noisy air-conditioning up full. I recommend requesting a room at the back. The restaurant is excellent, with a very good buffet breakfast included in the price and an excellent range of French and Portuguese cuisine available at dinner time. The hotel is very central and right beside a metro station.

Il traffico davanti all'hotel è intenso (Pr.

Love this hotel. Had been there once before. Smiling faces at reception would be nice though.

Great location, metro outside the door, however, 15mins walking gets you into the city centre. Good breakfast, carpark was underground and about 9 Euros for the night. good value, nice hotel

Excellent hotel with an excellent price. Very good breakfast. Excellent location, 15 min walking distance from the heart of the city, 5 min by metro (the station is in front of the hotel). Highly recommended.

I stayed at the hotel Fenix on two seperate days when I arrived in Lisbon and on my departure from Lisbon. My first night was excellent the room was great, spacious and clean. On my last night the room was alot smaller and I noticed dirt on the bathroom floor and on the walls, and also the tv kept shutting off. I should have asked for a different room, but I was very tired. If the hotel would have been accommodating to my request for a different room. I don't know. My fault. Overall, location and facalities were good.

we spent 4 nights. The 1st one we had a very noisy bedroom almost at the same level of the street : awfull. As we were quite angry, the reception changed our accomodation and for the rest of the stay we had a spacious and very quite one. For the 1st night, first we thought that they gave us the worst they could provide because we paid very low rate. Then for the 3 next nights it was gorgeous

This was an outstanding place, we really liked to stay there. The room was on the 7th floor even so it was a little bit noisy but not during the night. I would really go back there

This hotel allows smoking in the dining room. So if you like smokers sitting next to you at breakfast or dinner and their smoke drifting across your food, table and breathing space then do not stay here! There is not even a non-smoking zone set aside. The bar is full of smoke at all times as well. Otherwise the rest of the hotel is good!
