rooms are small but functional. very good location, you can walk to every place to see in the center. Heating was not working so we ask for an additional blanket, but they could only provide it to us the following day. and you have to like the green color... i would recommend this hotel for a short tourist stay (4-5 days max)

The Hotel Gat Rossio has a very excellent location, being 1 minute away from the main square in the city centre. Yet it is not facing the main road and therefore not as noisy. The rooms are very trendy and modern, being decorated in a tasteful manner. Cleanliness is not an issue either as rooms and common areas are spotlessly clean. However, you must be prepared for a very small room. The toilet is amazingly small, even smaller than those you find in a hotel in Tokyo!!!! However, the problems I encountered during my stay are: 1. the lift does not seem to work properly. It sometimes take 10 minutes to wait for the lift to arrive. (There is only 1 lift in the hotel) 2. the aircond was not working and my room was immensely hot and stuff as it was facing the afternoon sun. I had to leave the window open and still, I had difficulty sleeping due to the heat. Luckily, it was autumn and the temperatures became cooler after midnight and I could manage some sleep. So make sure you check with the hotel that the AC is working before you book it.
