This was a very clean and nice hotel. The rooms were cute and spacious with a different movie theme for each room. The front desk staff was not the most friendly and missed our wake up calls 2 days in a row, but the staff in the breakfast room were friendly and efficient. We loved the location. It was a nice walk to the different areas and the neighborhood was clean and lovely. We would stay here again.

My wife and I stayed in the hotel for 2 days in May 2009 and liked it so much that we stayed for another 2 days when we returned to Lisbon in June. The breakfast was excellent with lots of variety including scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage plus lots of fresh fruit. Housekeeping staff and servers were helpful, friendly and greeted us with a smile. The hotel was very close to the subway, and tour buses, and was within walking distance to the downtown shopping area. At Eur$100 per night through Venere, it was excellent value for the money.

for the price, the florida is one of best values i have found in a european city. I have been visiting the florida for 5 years. my wife and i stay in lisbon 4 times a year. we always choose the florida. it is very convenient to airport and train station. the personnel is above average, the rooms are clean, and provides close access to restaurants ,shopping and sightseeing.

The rooms were nice, but a lot of noise from the streets and from the people of the hotel, couldn't sleep well. the only service i leked was the breackfast. the decoration is very cold!

Excellent Service. We arrived late and there was room ready with a babycot. Doubleroom was very spacious and clean. Bed was really wide and corfortable. Free coffeemaking facilities, electric kettle, fridge and individually controlled heating were especially nice when travelling with a baby. Breakfast was very good (hot&cold). Waiters were extremely friendly and also helpful with the baby. Highchair was available for the baby. Hotel location is practical. Metro station is around the corner (with a lift) and you can also easily walk to downtown via Avenue de Liberdade. Recommend this hotel and would stay there if travelling Lisbon again.

Location is fantastic, but the staff are extremely unfriendly and the hotel is expensive for what it offers.

I really recomend this hotes. Is really well situated and the staff helps you at anything ( mainly the recptionist with moustages)They tell you the best options of public transport, excursions, etc Close to the Rossio square and very clean The food exellent as well Realment un hotel recomanable tant per la seva proximitat al centre de la ciutat, netedad, exel.lent tacte per part del personal ( especialment es recepcionista amb bigoti) Ajuden molt i t'expliquen amb detall les millors opcions tant de transport public, que visitar..etc No en quedareu decebuts!!

For the price, this is quite a good hotel and it's not too far to the city centre on foot. Intriguingly, the restaurant providing room service is called "The Great American Disaster" which doesn't fill one with confidence but the food is actually alright! Rooms and food etc. are all good in this hotel, my main faults were with the surly and unwelcoming receptionists - even when they changed shifts, it was just replacing one set of grumps with another - and also with the amount of noise the cleaners made slamming doors in the corridors outside my room, over and over and over. Drove me bananas! At busy times, e.g breakfast, you'll be waiting an age for a lift, most people just sighed and took the stairs. Happy overall and the minor gripes I had didn't spoil things, for the price the rooms were a reasonable size, nicely decorated and spotlessly clean and the location was good too. Lisbon itself is nice too, but the city centre completely empties after 8pm and goes from bustling to ghost-town in the blink of an eye. Younger folks looking for a buzzing city centre nightlife, at least in midweek, might be disappointed.

The older man at the reception was very friendly and useful in finding information about addresses, etc. Thanks!

In spite of the warm welcome and sincere helps, we suffered mainly from the choked sink in the bathroom. Moreover the room was very dark (it faces the space between 3-4 other buildings) and very cold at night (December 24, 2006). The location and the surroundings was good though.

Nice hotel, near to city center, good quality/price relationship, breakfast is really good. The parking is a bit too far from the hotel (and it's not included in the hotel price, of course).

This was a good place to stay in Lisbon because it is very near the Metro station and gives easy access to all of the main areas of the city. The airport is just a €15 taxi ride away. We arrived very late (2am) due to problems with the plane, but that was no problem for the hotel.
