I stayed in a room with a double bed in the renovated part of the hotel, which was very nice but since it was small, there was not enough space for a real closet. The bathroom was also very, very small, though really nice. I am small too, so I did't mind that much, but for a big person it would be very difficult. However, double bed room in the old part of the hotel was more spacious with bigger bathroom but no air-conditioning.

Very nice location. Some noise from the surroundings during the evening. The room wasn´t very clean. The staff was polite but not very kind. A chair in the room would have been nice.

Great location in the main shopping district. Near the waterfront and very close to the train station. Charming small hotel at a great price. You can take the Aerobus #1 from the airport and get off 1 stop past Rossio square. Just a walk of 2 short blocks to the hotel. Continental breakfast included.

Only negative during our stay was external nightly noise from air-conditioners in the neighbourhood. Otherwise our stay was satisfactory and we would certainly return to this hotel

located in the heart of Lissabon. Location is super. Small rooms and very small and narrow bathroom. But all for the price ok. Breakfast very simple.

the hotel is old and ruined. doors do not close, shared bathrooms are old, under-furnished and under capacity. carpets have not been changed since decades. it is not a hotel but a "pension" with no stars !

The hotel had overbooked when we arrived and offered us a better room in a different hotel but the location wasn't good. In the end they found a room for us. The room had a great view but got pretty stuffy at night. I imagine any hotel room in the hot weather would without a/c. We had a fan, which was fine. Shared bathrooms were very clean. Breakfast and tv area were very nice too.

We were very friendly and professionally welcomed by the staff. Had a good stay high up in the hotel with a good view over the roofs of downtown Lisbon. Excellent location for a two-day visit to explore central Lisbon. Only drawback was the frugal breakfast for us Scandinavians, who normally start the day with yoghurt, muesli and wholemeal bread with meat and cheese.

Rooms are tiny, but location is really great. The rooms with shared bathroom are not great. The rooms with bath are worth the price. The competence of the employees in the evening was rather poor, whilst in the morning they were efficient and very helpful.

I liked Duas Nações Residencial very well, except two things. The tragic little breakfasts were simply trash. In a city where bread and pastries are universally great, Duas Nações Residencial has succeeded in finding bad bread and tastless pastries, foul juice, and the worst coffee in Lisboa. Don't know how they did it. The smelly bedroom was tiny and the hallway stinky, but after a few days with the windows open all the time, it got tolerable. The WC was so cramped the commode had to be rode side-saddle -- not kidding. The staff was terrific -- helpful to a fault, generous with their time and expertize, clever, and good-humored, particularly Luis and Humberto at the front desk. They made up for the minor deficiencies upstairs.

Perfect location in the centre to visit Lisbon by foot. No access to the hotel by taxi. Nice historical building, with typical portuguese decorations etc interior. Large and marvellous dining room with azulejo-paintings, bedrooms quite small.

What a wonderful, unexpected view! We could look sideways from our balcony and see the arch at the end of Rua Augusta, and the ocean behind it. This hotel is in a perfect location. The staff was also great, arranging a taxi for us and letting us know what we should pay for taxis to different locations.

We booked 3 rooms for a group of us and ours was the worst of the 3 - small and pokey and no remote for the TV. Shared bathrooms are 1 per level which meant waiting for a shower / toilet at times. Shower was pretty basic and probably not cleaned enough given its use. Breakfast is basic with bread, dry croissants and very watered down juice - I would say 'copious continental' is a slight exaggeration! Good location for Lisbon however next time I'd probably pay a bit more to get our own bathroom and a better room.

Good location but in the ugly city center. Hotel is cheap so it is worth it. Everything is very old and they are doing some refurbishing. It is a good hotel for young backpackers.

Centraly located, not very far from the Aerobus stop. A little noisy in the early night, but there are double windows. Very clean. Nice breakfast room, ordinary continental breakfast. Cheap and good eateries not far away.

welcoming was awful, receptiontist (male) was rude, and room awful, wrong size for two girls sharing, expected twin beds, so very dissapointed, but next day things changed, room was changed and service greatly improved and we were much happier. this was our first time in Lison and think I would go back to same hotel. Service second day by all staff was far superior then day of arrival, and room change did make difference. Happy with location. Only had breakfast which was very basic but fine for us. Enjoyed holiday, thank you.

We would suggest the managment to also upload pictures about the cheaper rooms, because the one's on the site are nothing to do with the actual we slept in. It is very misleading.

the hotel does not look like the picture i think it was taken a while ago. the first night we had a small room but were able to change to a better one the following night, the staff most helpful. rooms cleaned and clean sheets every day, the hotel was close to the metro and trams and elavador. it was noisy as renovations being carried out on the building across street we were 2 teenage boys, myself and my 80 year old mother and we all found it fine, suitable for al types of people to stay

Good value for money hotel in great, central location. All decor a bit faded and rooms quite small and very basic but the location makes up for this. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast very basic too but included in the price. We had an en-suite room with a balcony over Rua Augusta which was nice and quiet. The Baixa area is busy during the day but pretty peaceful at night as most people head for Bairro Alto for nightlife. The hotel is ideally placed for all main areas of downtown Lisbon.

You are getting what you pay for. It has a great location and appeases the need to have a bed with a safe room. If you are looking for luxury, look somewhere else, but if you are looking for a cheap hotel, clean room with shared bathrooms this is your place.
