The only person who was very polite was Goncalo, at the Front DEsk (check in). Every time that I went to the Front Desk asking something (taxis rate, location of good restaurants, etc) I've got the feeling that I was bothering.

I highly recommended this hotel because it's wonderful! Huge room with a big bed, luxury lobby, charming staff. The stay was great. There's a bus stop(numbers 711 or 83) just around the corner and a mall two steps away.

Although it bills itself as a luxury five star hotel, the Dom Pedro does not quite live up to its own publicity. For a start, the Classic rooms are large, clean and comfortable, but fall slightly below the standards of the well known four star hotel chains. In any room below the 10th floor, your view is more likely to be of the shopping centre opposite than a panorama of the river. The Deluxe rooms, especially the corner rooms, are higher in the tower block, bigger, and the bathrooms have slightly superior potions (soap, shower gel, etc.). Elsewhere, the spacious reception area gives the first hint that this is not a truly top end hotel, as the flowers are plastic and the rugs look like cheap mass produced items. The corridors are also low, rather dark and feel cramped, although everything is clean and well maintained. During our stay, the air conditioning was turned on for summer, and in our room on the 7th floor there was a constant humming throughout the floor. On the negative side, the technicians said that there was nothing that could be done, but on the positive side we were moved to an excellent corner room. On that basis, I have to give full credit for customer service, even though the front desk staff and concierges were a little slow to serve guests. Overall, the hotel is a safe choice but if you really want a memorable stay, make sure that you get a good room and that it offers good value.

Staff at counter did not give any information what the hotel could offer. not a very nice welcom either, they looked uninterested, hardly said hallo when you passed. Not informing about bus/taxi/map of city unless one asked for a concrete matter. not very good service. people making the rooms were nice and did well. Mans underwear fell out of the closet when taking out a pillov.

Un peu plus éloigné du centre que je ne l'avais pensé tout les extras et en particulier la piscine ( 15 euros l'entrée par personne) sont à des prix très élevés

Traditional rooms, well maintained. We stayed in a corner suite which was spacious and had good views.Staff were friendly and helpful. On the downside, a simple lunch with water cost us in excess of E70 which we felt was overpriced. We also thought that the hotel would benefit from a proper bar/lounge area and the location wasn't central as advertised.

Excellent five-star hotel, somewhat out of town. Spacious rooms. The addition of Parking and Breakfast make it rather expensive.

For American standards, the hotel is quite a walk from the lively parts of Lisbon, but taxis are not very expensive. We loved the view of the water from our room, the room itself, and the room price. We weren't a big fan of the smoking allowed in public places or the outrageous prices at the in-house Italian restaurant, the morning brunch, or the drinks at the bar. All said, it suited our needs, and I would return.

Excellent hotel and good location where a short taxi ride takes you right into the centre. Courteous and very helpful staff. Additional costs of sundries (e.g. roonm service) a bit on the expensive side. Recommended.
