The Dom Manuel I hotel is ideally located right in the centre of Lisbon, not far from the Parque de Palhava and Parque Eduardo VII parks as well as the Pavilhão dos Desportos stadium.

The closest Metro station ( 6 min) was not operational. Wrong info. We had to walk 12 minutes with luggage. After the new Metro opens early 2010, the new metro station will be actally at the door step. Munie at the reception was very helpful. Allowed us early check in. Good break fast.

Good breakfast. Near there is a good restaurant: Colina. Beware for its prices of mineral water: 6 Euro for a 66 cl mineral water! Price food and wine are ok.

This hotel does not deserve 4 stars. It is more likely a 3 star hotel. This is also the first 4 star hotel in the WORLD who has a bar but doesn't serve alcohol. We found this very strange so don't expect to have a drink before going to bed. The room was in general good, but it was cold and the heater made a terrible noise so we couldn't leave it on. The windows are also very bad isolated so even when the window is closed you think it's open. Over all an avarage hotel and you get what you pay for. I would not go back here again though.

Even though the hotel looks ok, some things were for me really annoying ! Breakfast room without windows (floor -2), 1 elevator for the whole hotel (8 floors), and the fact that our rooms had 2 single beds ! Good point : the fruit plate in the room ! If for a short stay in Lisbon, you'd better select an hotel closer to Marques Pombal or Restauradores ! This one is far away for the center !

It is very noisy at the front and we wondered if they put venere customers at the front. We didn,t find the area to be that convenient but it was okay. I stayed on the Avenue liberade before which was better. however overall the hotel was fine and breakfast was adequate and plentiful with helpful staff.

Decent Standard. Bit far out from centre but OK for metro once you figure it out. Roadworks on the street at the moment - inconvenient rather than noisy.

Very nice staff. Clean rooms. Building a little bit old. Good breakfast buffet. Close to a metro station (3 minutes, in so far central). 'Magnet' is a nice bar in walking distance (2 minutes). Dom Manuel I can be recommended, particularly for this price.
