Hotel Villa Enrica - Lipari

Great place to relax and unload. Family atmosphere hotel, with friendly welcoming and management who knows how to solve the small issues you can have. Hotel is located above Lipari with a great view on the sea and the city. 15 mn walking distance from the city (to set-up a shuttle would be a good idea for management - otherwise you can very easily rent a scooter). Quiet place with view on the sea in the front or view on the garden and a small green valley with very few houses on the back. Great swimming pool above the hotel with view on the sea (web photo are true). Clean. Good breakfast. A place I would like to come back and I warmly recommend.

We loved it, I can't imagine that we'll go back to Lipari (which was wonderful) but if we did, we'd have no hesitation about staying here again.

Very good location, I'will come back. The views form Terasse and Pool are excellent.

Mon seul regret est de ne pas avoir demandé une chambre plus lumineuse. La nôtre donnait directement sur le chemin qui mène à l'accueil, côté promenade. Signalons également que l'hôtel sert simplement le petit déjeuner et ne fait pas restaurant. Néanmoins, il se situe à 20 minutes à pied (et donc à 5 minutes en voiture ou scooter) du centre ville. Il est très simple de louer un scooter sur place. A cela près, rien n'a fait défaut: calme, confort, gentillesse du personnel, beauté du site, qualité du petit déjeuner. La piscine de l'hôtel est sans doute la plus belle que j'ai vue, offrant une vue panoramique sur toute la baie de Lipari. A couper le souffle. En résumé, voici un endroit où il est difficile de se plaindre, même pour un Français.

Overall the stay was excellent, we were pleasantly surprised. However since we had young kids it would have been nice if the hotel had a restaurant for dinner.

This hotel is truly beautiful. Recently renovated, with great care to details,lovely interiors and bathroom. Immaculate everywhere. The staff was fantastic and very welcoming, couldn't find better. Great views of the main port of Lipari. Negative things: the breakfats was very poor in quality and choice. Nowhere else in Sicily we found frozen croissants and old bread. It is a bit far from the city and up to a hill, so you have to rent a moped because there's no street light and it's quite dark at night.

We stayed at Villa Enrica 3 nights and used it as a base for exploring the Aeolian Islands. It was an excellent choice. We were picked up at the port and brought to the hotel (a 15 minute walk to Lipari town center). Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful with helping us choose island excursions (booking them for us, too) and restaurant recommendations and reservations (they have prix fixe deals with 3 restaurants in town, Kasbah Cafe was EXCELLENT!) The room was nicer that in the web photos. It had a patio with a sea view and of Lipari. Breakfast was continental and very good. Overall a very pleasant experience and we would definitely stay there again.

Villa Enrica provides beautiful, modern, clean, peaceful accomodations. I would recommend arranging your transportation with hotel before you arrive so that there is no problem getting a transfer from the ferry to the hotel. Perhaps let the hotel know exactly when your ferry will arrive at the port for pick up. There is no longer daily shuttle service provided for a low cost to the beaches/port...i think that the venere website had not been updated when we booked our hotel stay so we were suprised by this when we arrived. The distance to town is "walkable" but you are probably better off with a car for this hotel. The manager of the hotel is a lovely person and went out of her way to make us enjoy our stay and corrected any bumps in the road we may have encountered. I would stay at this hotel again. Lipari is well connected to all of the other aeolian islands. Try to book your excursions as soon as you arrive if you are only staying for a short period. The best time to book excursions is in the morning or at night. We booked a tour with "the yellow people" company and we enjoyed it!
