Augustus Hotel Villa - Lipari

I enjoyed my stay here. The hotel is very well located near the ferry terminal and the main street of Lipari town. The staff who welcomed me were very nice and offered me assistance to get my bag up a couple of flights of stairs to my room. My single room was fairly small as you would expect but with good bathroom facilities and excellent air con- a blessing as it was very hot. Breakfast was good but the staff had a little trouble keeping up with the ravenous guests who tended to swoop on some of the platters of food as they arrived. Getting a free table at breakfast was also a little difficult on both mornings I was there but it was of course peak season. All in all, a nice family hotel and reasonable value for money.

The hotel is located in a very good position (near the harbour and near the very centre of the city) the public areas are good and the breakfast too but our room was not so good: little, the bath was small and had the shower created directly on the floor, no view on the seaside but on an internal and caothic street. No justified price for that room!

Upon arrival we were greeted by a very friendly man at reception who took pains to ensure we chose the room we preferred from 3 available, even though we were only staying one night. The overhead ceiling fan and open shutters made our stay a cool one despite the heat of the night. A bit pricy but we were staying at peak season. Would happily have stayed the week here if time. A great base for exploring the islands. (Nice continental breakfasts too!)

Nice room, 20 meters to the main street of Lipari. Quiet and small hotel, with a beautiful little garden (bar and breakfast). The price was too much (95€) for the quality of the hotel, but I do not know other hotels of Lipari in order to compare them. Moreover, the hotel offers some services of relax, massage, etc, but I cannot paid for them. Best points: in the center of Lipari and an excellent breakfast buffet.
